The 2 PTs were both wonderful except it seems they forgot that I have a torn knee also and yet they started me every time on a cycle despite the knee. We got to the point to try Deep tissue laser therapy. They told me it was $50 per treatment. For both sessions I was put in a room with a whole list of prices and there on the list was a package price for 4 laser sessions. When I brought payment after the second session I told the lady I was going to buy the 4 pack. She had no idea what I was talking about. She was going to research and let me know the next time. The list price was NOT honored, manager said that list was supposed to be for another area that they ended up not opening but she still would not honor the price even tho it was posted in 2 different treatmen rooms. I told her I would expect them to honor it and she kept saying it was wrong and never would agree to the package price THAT THEY HAVE POSTED IN TREATMENT ROOMS. It was their mistake and it should have been honored. I cancelled the rest of my PT sessions and left. A few days later I asked my chiropractor about the same therapy and he said he had the same thing in his office. Sure we could do it! His cost? $15 per session compared to Ratner's $50 per session and no package price. So basically they are there to rip people off and have zero integrity when faced with their mistakes. My headache neurologist is debatable the best in the US, and does not suffer fools, so I had to find psychopharmacologist that I could pair with her. First, her NP actually knew who Dr Health which was a huge boon, because she had worked with this doctor before. This was a huge time saver and cut my search down tremendously. My meds had been off, I had lived in NYC for 7 years and had the same psychiatrist...but I made the mistake thinking that a really smart GP could coordinate my meds. This is not an error I will EVER make, again. I needed I good psychopharmacologist to rebalance everything. I suffered a TBI when I was nearly killed in a hate crime causing quite a few medical problems and I needed a number of specialists after the assault. The lynchpin to making everything work was a fantastic psychiatrist who worked as a psychopharmacologist. I've been fine for four years since I went under her care. Before that I was a hot mess, because not all doctors are equal with an RX pad and being a good psychiatrist requires a ton of working knowledge of gobs of medications and how they interact with different meds and people (I'm resistant to many meds and don't metabolize most meds the way most patients do she was the first to catch this and give me a genetic test). If she hadn't, I'd still be a Ginny pig. I've paid for the smartest doctors I could find to work in tangent with each other. Dr Heath was my missing link back to a normal life. Prior to my head injury I was a top PhD student and national award winning playwright (specializing in Aristotelean Structuralism). After the assault I was in horrific pain and unable to control my anger and slightly mentally challenged. This was caused by brain damage, and though my brain did rewire itself, it needed help. I had no quality of life. Comparatively, I have a fantastic one now. I just finished a 2nd Master's and a killer play...this is what a you get when you invest in the best doctors. It's not instant. It took her 4 months; however, others couldn't do it at all. I want Dr. House, only smarter and non-fictional. She's not cold, she's professional. So, do you want a doctor that can fix you and is professional...go here. I think the answer to the question is, "Am I better, and she fix what was wrong when no one else could?" "Yes." I sent a friend here a couple of years ago who had become non-functional in society after she was assaulted at work. She had similar results. She and her family are thrilled with the results, or so she told me. So, I'm not the only one happy to have my life back. So, I would highly recommend this doctor. You spend your money where you like, but I'm results oriented.

I can't thank Doctor Stacy enough for suggesting it. I have been there before and appreciate the staff. The atmosphere is easygoing and calm. People are helpful without hovering, friendly when needed, and present if you ask. Sometimes it is enough to walk into a place, be treated well, and not have to work to be okay for someone else. Yesterday morning, I was carrying something heavy inside. I call it psychic pain because I do not have another word for it. It is not exactly sadness, anxiety, grief, or exhaustion, though it can contain parts of each. This pain sits between thought and feeling. I can do what I need to do while it is there: work, talk to people, answer messages, make decisions. From the outside, nothing looks unusual. Inside, my mind is trying to get away from itself. I know that tendency. When something hurts too much, my mind moves. It goes into the future or returns to the past. It analyzes, rehearses conversations, and tries to understand things that may not make sense. Sometimes it starts solving problems that do not exist. Thinking becomes an escape. I am present physically, but mentally I am somewhere else. I felt the stress in my body as Eduardo began the massage. I had not arrived thinking about my shoulders, back, or muscles. As he applied pressure, my attention shifted from my thoughts to my body. Some places hurt, and I realized how tense I had become without noticing. As he continued, my attention shifted to what Eduardo was doing. I felt the pressure of his hands, the resistance in my muscles, and where they began to release. I noticed my breathing and the table beneath me. I caught myself tensing before he even reached certain areas. These small physical sensations were enough to interrupt the noise in my head. For once, my mind was not deciding where I needed to be. I was present. Eduardo did not need to know what was happening in my life. I did not have to explain why I felt the way I did. There was nothing to analyze. He worked on my body, and my body responded. I spend much of my life thinking. It is part of my work and part of who I am. I watch people, listen, and make connections. I notice what is said and what is not said, in others and in myself. Most of the time, this is useful. Sometimes I overthink, and my mind keeps turning over the same things long after there is anything left to learn. During those 30 minutes, I did not need another insight. I just wanted to feel my body. The pressure kept bringing me back. My thoughts would drift, and then another sensation would return me to my body. I wasn't telling myself to be mindful or stay in the moment. That would have turned it into another mental task. When my mind moved toward something painful, I felt Eduardo working on another tense area, and my attention returned to what was happening. I was not trying to accomplish anything. I was there long enough for my mind to slow down. The psychic pain did not disappear. I do not want to suggest that 30 minutes of massage erased what I carried. What changed was my relationship to the pain. Before, it felt overwhelming and took up too much space inside. Afterward, it was still present, but it was not everything. That difference mattered. I could feel pain and also feel Eduardo's hands on my back. I could have difficult thoughts and still notice my breathing. I could carry something unresolved and feel my muscles begin to loosen. One experience did not cancel the other. They existed together. That is what being present means for me. It is not a perfect state where difficult thoughts disappear. My mind does not work that way, and I am not sure I would trust it if it did. Being present means I do not have to follow every thought when it tries to take me somewhere. I can notice what is happening without leaving myself. At the end of the massage, I felt different. Not transformed or suddenly free from what was bothering me. I just felt more like myself. My body was less tense, and my mind was no longer racing. I could feel where I was. Thirty minutes is not a long time, which is probably why the experience stayed with me. I can waste 30 minutes without noticing, reading things I don't need, answering things that could wait, thinking about something for the hundredth time, or worrying about a future that hasn't come. Thirty minutes with Eduardo changed how I spent the rest of the day. The physical experience of being cared for affected me more than I expected. It is easy to forget how tiring it is to think, decide, help, manage, respond, and hold things together. During the massage, I was not responsible for anyone else's experience. I did not have to produce anything. Eduardo knew what he was doing, and for half an hour I could stop. I walked out of the wellness center and noticed

Front Desk Staff keeps to themselves. There is a self check in that's very convenient to use. Rudy, the Occupational Therapy Tech was punctal about taking me back to the therapy room. Also, the Restrooms are clean. I believe, I saw Christian Decor and they have a toilet paper dispenser that dispenses just enough toilet paper to wipe. Sydney my Occupational Therapist was professional, enthusiastic and personable. She seemed to really like her job and care about me. She was patient with all my questions. The other staff members are nice and supportive too. I was able to participate in neat little activities that help support my grip with my hand. The other patients were friendly too. I gained my strength back in my hand. Iam able to make a fist now. Overall, I made progress and the Therapy was a success. My grip strength is stronger than my left hand!

I was assigned to Mr. Patrick Kimball, Certified Hand Therapist, who proceeded to make a custom cast that I can remove when I shower. I cannot provide enough superlatives to describe Mr. Kimball's process and end product. He was understanding, efficient, and extremely professional. It took Mr. Kimball less than an hour to create my cast and answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend FWPT and Mr. Kimball for all of your hand needs.
