I was traveling in Wausau for work and looked around for a massage spot (very few here) and found this place. Scheduling: Somewhat cumbersome. It takes you to schedulicity that doesn't allow you to view providers' availability before you choose them. For example, if you wanted a certain provider, you have to pick them, then pick your service, only to find that they're not available on the days that you are. So then you have to go back and pick another provider and hope they're available then. A simple calendar would make this all be much easier. Location: It's within a business building, so if you're not local, may be a touch bit difficult to find, especially without GPS (Wausau + tmobile don't mix). Decor: Hit the perfect balance between clinical + relaxation. Very nice and well kept. Massage: I actually picked Keirsten as she was the one that was available when I had some time. She's the newest member on the team, and recently graduated, and she did a fantastic job. She asked me where my problem area was, and got to work. I admit, my problem area is pretty tough, she must have worked on it for what seemed like a good while, but she got it! Excellent massage. Give her a try. I appreciate how welcoming, accommodating, and responsive the instructors are, especially Heather who I've gotten to know particularly well after attending a magical 5 Koshas day-long retreat at Little Girls Point on Lake Michigan that she organized in August 2019. In my experience, all of the instructors provide a space where I feel supported and guided to take care of myself and to break with old patterns in my life so that I can step into my power in and outside of class. In addition to building up strength in my body, mind, and spirit, one of the most noticeable physical benefits I have experienced has been the low back care I have received through practicing yoga with 5 Koshas instructors. They are incredibly knowledgeable of the human body in addition to being very well-versed in yoga instruction. Whereas my low back is often left still feeling tight after other (non-5 Koshas) yoga classes, 5 Koshas instructors are very intentional with the sequencing of their yoga classes so that we are always compensating for the different ways we are moving our body to bring it back into alignment, resulting in my low back, especially, feeling massaged and relaxed by the end. Finally, there is a really nice community feel to 5 Koshas that has helped me a lot through this pandemic. 5 Koshas is definitely worth checking out for yoga and wellness!
