I also added extraction to my facial and it was the best extraction I've ever had. Yes it was a bit painful, but that's how you know it's a good session! The best part - Everything was in one room, on one bed. I was able to get a facial and massage and not move. She was very kind and the environment was relaxed. I showed her pictures of what I wanted (I had 3 different color schemes/styles to show her) and I basically trusted her to use her judgement and do what she thought was best. I'm not hard to please but I want quality work. The other stylists were funny and nice. I enjoyed the overall environment of the salon. Kimi took her time while coloring, it was a detailed and delicate process. I really appreciated her attention to detail (especially once I saw it dry). I have been going to super cuts since I moved to Maine and it's been okay, but hardly what I wanted. When Kimi cut my hair it was as if she fixed anything that was ever wrong with it. Not to put down the people I have been to before, but Kimi really paid attention and took her time. The finished product is beautiful! We decided to keep it warm and I can come back to lighten it as I wish. I honestly have not had better results with my hair before and I'm extremely happy with her work. I understand everyone has to start somewhere but I had a sudden health crisis a year ago that resulted in major hair loss. I was subsequently deeply concerned about a neophyte coloring and trimming my hair. I emailed them my regular stylist's "recipe" and Naomi was an absolute master at her craft. She did an incredible job and was very much a subject matter expert as to what I could do to protect my hair that was coming back in and asses how much new growth I had given it was all uneven. I am strictly team Aveda for years and years but often the sacrifice is the personality of the stylist and although I'm fine with silence, Naomi was the absolute coolest and a complete delight. I don't have a lot of time off, or a lot of wiggle room with my schedule, so coming in twice in one week was a huge inconvenience for me. They also made it very clear that it was an inconvenience for them. Regardless, I asked for pink and white, and they were terribly sloppy. They fixed them free of charge, and that was great. I went in tonight, and the same person that I always end up talking to let me know that they close at 6 o'clock on Saturday. (That's a lie. Online it says seven.) I also know it's seven, because there was one time I called and let them know that I was going to get there around 6:30 and I was very sorry because they close at 7. They were unhappy, which I get, but at least I gave them notice. They provide a service, I needed the service, and we met in the middle. Lying straight to my face was something I can't look past. Another thing I didn't appreciate- the prices changing each visit. (I get the same thing every time.) I won't be back!
