I went here for over two years to get a small tattoo on my ankle removed. After seeing no progress, the lady offered free sessions to finish removing it. I continued to schedule appointments, of which I did end up paying for and they were not offered to me for free like promised. I have many issues with this place. I was scammed out of thousands of dollars, would go to my appointments many times to find the building locked and no one there, and would get told that my next session would be free or that they would offer some sort of discount, in which never actually happened and I always had to pay full price. Oh and I still have the tattoo I was trying to remove! I saw NO progress from the laser sessions, and my tattoo still looks brand new. Every other tattoo removal place that I have consulted is appalled by the lack of removal progress, time spent going here, and the amount of money that I was scammed out of. read more

Incredibly disappointed. The tech was kind, but seemed like she was rushing to get the next folks in. When she told me that my treatment was $600 I was shocked but she kept saying that you get what you pay for. She was only right in the sense that I was very unhappy with what I paid, and equally unhappy with the lack of treatment. 8 weeks later and there is almost no lift. Close friends cannot even tell the difference after the treatment. And their answer is to pay another $600 to show me how well the next treatment will work better. At this rate I could buy a house before having my tattoos fade with how much they charge and how little they provide. After a brief conversation with them about my disappointment they got very defensive and then insisted that because they've been open for so long that they provide great service. I suspect they haven't seen their reviews for the past few years if that's their logic. Wanted to believe they had my best interest in mind but I cannot in good conscience suggest that anyone give them their hard earned money. My honest advice is to find someone else that knows what they are doing and will charge you appropriately. read more

I visited the office today and there is something I want to share w/reviewers. In addition to the two types of laser tattoo removal machine and a chiller, there is a hi-tech laser tattoo removal machine that works even better since it can be used for all colors. It gets the ink better while causing very minimal damage to the skin. Based on my conversation with Steve, he attended the laser machine event annually to stay up-to-date with equipment to offer the best treatment possible for his patient. I witness his passion for helping patients to rid of the unwanted tattoos. I have to say that Steve and Rebecca again are so caring, considerate and personable. Unlike other offices that want you in and out, they take the time to build rapport and the office and patient relationship. I think that they're doing the best job possible but my expectations of how quick the removal process should take may be different than reality. Originally came to Steve four years ago and decided to go to a dermatologist office to get my tattoo removal done. The dermatology office had burned my tattoos to severe blisters and I decided after two treatments to come back to Steve. I wish I had originally started coming here, due to the severity of my burned tattoos... Steve was honest & wouldn't touch 2 out of the 4 tattoos I wanted removed. The 2 he did start removing are almost completely gone... You can barely see them. After 2 years of waiting we now have started treatments on the other 2 that were severely burned. If you want the best in town with complete removal & no damage to your skin or scarring... HE IS THE BEST... Don't make the same mistake I did by going elsewhere! The guy who works there is honestly totally creepy. The vibe he gives off is really odd and that's the biggest issue. Girls especially I don't recommend coming here, when he's talking to you and just even looking at you it's very uncomfortable. Not very explainable but he's off and the prices are very high. I couldn't even manage to schedule a consultation with the man that I just spoke with. He was very rude, sounded impatient, as if he had better things to do.. He didn't even offer me his name. Looking on their website, there is a nice looking lady, smiling, sitting in front of a computer...... She must have been busy, or on vacation. I waited for him to get his calendar, which tells me that they must not have an up to date system... I have never called some place to schedule an appointment and had to wait for them to get something, or to wait for their computer to load.. .Because they are READY to treat customers.! He asked me when I would like to come in, and I asked him what was the soonest day he had available. He then asked me, "What day" I JUST ASKED YOU. WHAT IS THE SOONEST DAY? Why are you asking me what day? I asked him about tomorrow, (Friday) He then asked me what time. I asked for what he had available, and he said he had something at 3pm. I told him that wouldn't work, and I asked him about Monday, in the morning. "what time?" In the morning....................Like I just said. In the morning on Monday, if you have something available in the morning, you know, like before noon...?!?! **YOU** know what you have available, and what you don't, so WHY do I have to play Russian roulette with appointment times? I am so happy that I found this place. I am having 3 tattoos removed and they are all looking great! I will post pics of the one that is basically gone from my lower back. So, if you are looking to have tattoos removed, you must do your homework. You want the person holding the laser to know what he/she is doing obviously. The first time I met Steve to start having my tats removed I grilled him about colors, different lasers, possible outcomes, length between treatments, you name it. He was able to answer all of my questions, was realistic with me, and scientifically knew what he was talking about. That is a biggie as I have read so many horror stories about people having their tats removed on the net and scarring etc. Anyway, there is truly no better place to go to get your tattoos removed than Serenity. The office is nice and clean, Rebecca and Steve are great people, and it's super easy to get an appointment (I noticed another reviewer had a problem w this but it's never been my experience and I have been 10+ times). I love this place! They make you feel comfortable throughout the entire consultation and procedure. Steve answers any and all questions even after you leave! The feeling is more family/friend rather than patient/doctor. There was no pain! they gave me antibiotic ointment, anti-itch cream, and an ice pack before i left; all free!! (the icepack helps relieve the after feeling.) The staff is amazing and I'm so glad to be removing my tattoo at serenity tattoo removal! I wanted to go somewhere to COMPLETELY get rid of my tattoo with NO damage and at REASONABLE price and this is the place! I went to this place to erase my dark skin spots. I experienced no pain and they immediately erased my big dark spots!! It was amazing!!! I was told 6-8 sessions to remove the tattoos I needed removed. I'm going into the military and need them off and need to do so as quick as possible. 4 sessions in and a hell of a lot of pain and all my tattoos still look the same. I go to a different laser dr. And even he was in shock that 4 sessions did nothing. I switched places and have been for 3 sessions and I see more done in way less time than serenity. I feel bad cause I liked the people who worked in serenity but I'm not here to make friends I'm here to get my tattoos removed so I can fight for my country and they couldn't do it and it wasted my time and $1600. read more

I went for almost 2 years, and they finally stopped contacting me for appointments. I guess they realize they cant remove the tat 100% so they bail on you. At first it was great, but they didn't hold up to the number of sessions I would need. I started at 12 sessions, but the process took 2 years, at twice a month and the tats were removed only by 85%, it looks like I had a tat that was faded really, really bad. Don't get me wrong about the owners. The people who own the place are really nice people, but I didn't get what I expected and when they realize they cannot remove the tat all the way, they just stop making appointments for you. They Ghosted me, In other words, they took 2 years of money for sessions and didn't finish the job. I am going somewhere else to get the job completed. Add it up, $225 per session for 1.5 years and they cut it down to $150 per session for 7 more months. So, if you add that up its over $7k and I can still see my tattoos, faded but still there. People ask me about it and when I tell them I had tattoos removed, they say, not removed but faded really good. The trick is,, they say they can remove tats in a certain number of sessions, but you lose track and see some progress, so you keep going and keep paying and before you know it, you spent several thousands of dollars, Do the Math and make them stick to that number or it will go way beyond the quote they give in the beginning. I gave this guy a whole YEAR of treatments to try and get my tattoo off, and it didn't even budge. Not only that, but the guy who does it gives off pretty weird vibes. I would not trust him at all. We came here since it's close to the house and man oh man...this guy Steve gave off some weird vibes! You know you gotta' listen to your gut when something is off. We asked him how much he charges for a small tattoo and he said 150. He then walked us to a small room where he does all his work and I noticed he's into Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty was EVERYWHERE! I noticed his bed (where the patients lay down) wasn't protected with paper or a clear plastic sheet. That was a first red flag for me. He then showed me his work on his computer. Honestly, anyone can say that's their work. Hello photoshop! The way he was talking and looking at me was just uncomfortable. And also no one was around. He didn't have an assistant or receptionist so that was another red flag. And the third and final flag was that there was no patient waiting for him. His office was empty. I know his door said by appointment only but it was just weird how his phone wasn't ringing and how quiet everything was. No one walked in or nothing. I decided to get it done somewhere else and I'm glad I didn't take a chance because by what I've been reading on Yelp, I'm not the only one who had this weird vibe of him. They do amazing work here. I've had tattoos removed at other places and I have scars from them and you can still see the outlines. The tattoos that I had removed here are just gone without a trace, no scar, no shadow. You can't tell I ever had a tattoo on my wrist or arm! I have only had 1 treatment done about 2 yrs ago and then moved away. I refused to go to any one else but Steve. He has patience and understanding. He also has the most high tech machines in town. He did 1 treatment on my hands and face... All with color. I'm tortured by all these terrible tattoos and from just the one treatment I noticed a huge difference. The owners of Serenity Tattoo are awesome. They have several different lasers they use to ensure your ink colors are optimally targeted for removal. The entire process is explained to you in detail and all of your questions are answered. I have heard others (including my daughter) say that tattoo removal is very painful. They usually say it is more painful than getting the tattoo. I have not had that experience at Serenity Tattoo Removal. The owner is fantastic at laser application and optimizes your comfort with continuous cool air. My first pass resulted in no blistering or damage to my skin. My second pass also had no blistering. The prices are very very reasonable as well. Don't make a mistake (again) by choosing a crummy laser technician. At least go to Serenity to talk with the owner first. Serenity was able to completely erase my tattoo, which was dark ink on a hand. It did take many sessions, but I was informed in advance as to what to expect. The process is slightly painful, but is highly professional and did not cause any scarring. The shop is clean and the staff was always friendly and accomodating to me. I am please to say that after 8 treatments the tattoo on my wrist is completely gone. Serious progress was showing up after the first 2 visits. The owner (Steve) knows exactly what he is doing.
