Very crowded, many classes fill up early with long waitlists, parking can be a challenge. There do not seem to be enough classes or there are too many guests. If you are looking to join the location because they have sauna, hot tub and steam bath you need to know: The women's locker room has a sauna, steam bath and hot tub attached but there are only 3 lounge chairs that are often already in use. Some people go into the sauna with their fitness clothes and sneakers on without showering and do not even sit on a towel. Some guests come out of the steam bath and go into the hot tub sweaty / wet without a cleansing shower! The hot tub itself appears dated with dark discoloring and chipped off. The temperature sometimes appears on the lower side but it is impossible to say without a thermometer. Absolutely always take shower sandals because some guests make a real mess in the showers. read more

First class I went to the yoga teacher was unforgiving as I had arrived late, not knowing where exactly to go. I felt like an outcast from the first minute. Very crowded and there are constant notices of closures from lap pool, suana's, courts, etc. The outdoor pool is completely designed for families with a depth of 4 feet and a closure time of 7:30, so you can't stop from a swim after work if you don't get out early. Raising the membership constantly first it was 30, then 40 , now 50 dollars . having men in the women's bathroom standing peeing, kids running all in the women's bathroom looking in the changing areas under the stalls while using the bathroom. This used to be a fantastic institution and location. Recent leadership changes have led to really poor experiences stemming from laziness to discrimination. We have seen showering rooms and facilities closed before the pools are closed leaving multiple families cold outside the rooms waiting for a changing room to become available with only 2-3 of the 8 or 9 unlocked. Staff report that they closed the rooms early because they didn't want to have to clean them again later. We also experienced discrimination and inequitable application of policy. Nannies who do not use the facilities are allowed to accompany (without membership) unrelated minors who are using the facility. However, new leadership at Life Time starting this year refused to allow a grandparent to accompany their minor grandchild into the facility without paying for membership. Family relations are thus treated worse than hired help, and Life Time was even so bold as to essentially say the parents would have to hire the grandparent as a nanny to get permission. Not only is this ridiculous, it creates questionable discriminatory practices that further extend to situations in which there is a mismatch between the gender of the minor child and their accompanying grandparent or parent. Life Time talks out of both sides of its mouth and where logic and fairness once reigned, now it is replaced by illogic and greed (they essentially admitted it was all part of a money grab ploy - which is an natural extension from their recent attempts to justify escalating membership prices by doing things like now referring to their locations as "country clubs" instead of "fitness centers"'or "gyms." read more

I was in town from nashville this weekend and stopped by for an hour swim. Front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming and even offered me a tour. So appreciated as I wasn't sure I even had access to a different location. My biggest kudos were to the members. At my home lifetime; people will not make eye contact with you at the pool as they don't want to share a lane. As I sat on the side of the pool for a couple of minutes, two separate people waved me over to share with them. Seems silly and inconsequential, but it matters. Swimmers get it. I have been a member since 2018 and generally love Lifetime but unfortunately this particular location has changed a lot over time. The people (members, and some staff) are shockingly rude. They also have different policies than other Lifetimes which can be confusing (e.g., you have to arrive to class at least 5 minutes early or they will give your place away. In contrast, other Lifetimes honor your reservation and only release spaces when the class starts). This means you can make a reservation a week in advance, sit through traffic, get childcare for your chiIdren, arrive 4 minutes early and discover that your spot was given away. In the sauna, people talk very loudly so it's not a relaxing and meditative space like it is in most gyms (other Lifetimes specifically have a note on the door asking for quiet, among other things to respect everyone's space and experience). The outdoor pool is now so crowded, and the swim team uses it so much that it's almost not available for other adult swimmers. Management if you read these reviews, PLEASE bring a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy. This used to be such a great club! read more

it is way too crowded. the pool is crazy full. not relaxing at all. can never get a lane to swim and the family pool area is packed as well. can't even get a lounge some times. the whirlpool has been broken for over 2 months and no one I ask seems to know what's wrong with it and when it will be fixed. the gym is full of nasty conceited people who bring large duffle bags in and "save" machines while they go off the make phone calls or others just sit on machines and play video games or text. there is no sense of respect for others. it's a very "privileged" membership and it shows. for the price you pay there should be staff to politely direct proper behavior. the tone should be set by management and staff. when I asked someone to remove their huge duffle bag from the machine while he was taking a break, he actually called the police!! no joke. what a horrible place. read more

Having been a member for just over a year, I feel compelled to warn others about this fitness facility's deceptive practices. While the coaches are excellent, management consistently undermines the member experience by eliminating amenities without warning--most recently blocking all electrical outlets to force members into paying an absurd $199ish monthly fee for their new "premium office area." This underhanded tactic has effectively rendered the café and lounge useless for anyone hoping to get work done while enjoying their purchased refreshments. Add to this the frequent power outages (three that impacted me in the past year alone) and bathrooms that are either under construction or simply dirty (blood on towels multiple times), and you're left with a facility that simply doesn't justify its premium price tag. Save your money and find a gym that actually values its members rather than seeing them as walking wallets. Burlington has SO many other options. read more

Most of what they say is inaccurate/untrue and you only realize this after you have paid the insanely high membership fees. The facilities are extremely overcrowded, the basketball gym is mostly unavailable due to kids camps and birthday parties that should be held elsewhere, their phone app is never accurate, and most of the employees have an attitude problem. One of their employees even admitted that management is trying to maximize revenues any way possible even if that means existing customers are inconvenienced. You as the customer will have to adjust to their schedules without notice. We wish a competitor would come along that values the customer experience as I know frustration over this Lifetime location is growing. read more

Loved that I could use all the clubs available in Houston, when I was there for months helping with a newborn. Checking into the clubs there was as easy as walking onto my home club in Massachusetts. UPDATE REVIEW: about a year ago I gave a 4 star review, and unfortunately my experience has declined since then. To put it simply, there are too many members. No matter the time you go, machines will be hogged. My favorite classes were either cancelled or fill up WAY too fast for me to sign up. They should have just stopped accepting new members, but were money motivated only, and this is what happened. I wish they just opened another location nearby instead. There's a major lack of humanity here. We had a lot of negative experiences at this gym, mostly surrounding the severe disorganization of the swim program (2yrs ago so may have improved, unknown), unfair or unreasonable policies and/or sudden policy changes of the gym itself, such as the sudden inability for a nanny to bring a child to their classes if the nanny doesn't have her own lifetime membership, and primarily just shocking rudeness and inflexibility by management when any of these things are addressed. Our family has had some extenuating personal circumstances that kept us from using the gym for quite some time and received conflicting emails about putting our membership on hold, resulting in charges we weren't expecting for a gym we don't use. We tried to cancel our membership a number of times and were talked, more than once, into keeping it "on hold" instead, which we reluctantly did, only to find membership charges on our account six months later with no heads up that our account was reinstated. This happened at least twice. They keep saying "reminder emails went out," but we never received any reminders. As a family who has not stepped foot in the gym since 2023, they should have refunded us the second time this happened and canceled our account - but instead were inflexible and wholly unsympathetic, even when I explained that we were dealing with a significant family issue. Long and short this is a big corporate gym with something like 8,000 members that just wants your money regardless of what's going on with your family. read more

Experience 1: Swim Program - We were promised a consistent trainer experience for our little one - we didn't get the same swim trainer for more than two weeks - their swim program is just college kids on rotation and summer is the worst time with their schedules. We complained, and we were allowed to cancel out without the 30-day wait period. Experience 2: Alpha Strength - An amazing trainer had an amazing strength program but Jen, the training manager decided to reduce the value of the program and made it absolutely useless for serious strength training - their intent was to increase their Personal Trainer revenue and the cost of the program is obscene! ($150+ per session) - so you can pay all the money for the membership - you're still commercially expected to pay more and the programs are designed to deliver "low value" and make you yearn for a bit more and thereby "high revenue" for them - which is very unfortunate. Experience 3: Customer Service Our family were founding members and quit because of terrible customer service the first time and we tried them after 4 years - they bumped the member prices from what used to be $150 to $249 (Individual Signature). This gym is so commercially minded that the member value is the last thing on their minds and it was very frustrating to see nothing has changed since they started this location and we canceled again. What's good: Trainers, Yoga, Pool, Child-care as long as you're willing to put up with bureaucracy and bad attitude from the non-training-staff. read more

It's a nice gym for families. If you don't like kids, I would recommend another gym. There is a big indoor pool and an awesome outdoor pool (for use in warmer months). The upstairs has a huge basketball court and a yoga studio. There are tons of machines and weights. There's also a cool little obstacle monkey bar thing. They have some very unique machines here! The cafe is clean and has free WiFi. The sandwiches and rice bowls are delicious. A lot of people sit doing work on their computers. The bathrooms are enormous and have countless lockers that are free to use and have combo locks that you can reset and make your own combo. The women's bathroom is stocked with tampons, razors, mouthwash, makeup remover pads, and more. The bathroom is always clean! This place is very expensive, but you can definitely make it worth it if you take advantage of all it has to offer. Some of the kids here just need to be controlled a little better, but that's just due to bad parents who let their kids run loose screaming. I don't think I have ever ran around in public screaming my head off as a child, but my parents raised me to not scream like an animal in public. Staff should reprimand the parents who let the bad kids ruin other adults gym experience. You can always stop at the spa after working out to relax though. Gym is very clean, including the locker rooms and pool area. Consistently clean, and they get good marks for that. They have a wide variety of instructors, and I have found them all to be personable and skilled teachers. Why 3 stars? Unless you go at "off hours" (which is hard to do if you have a job that lets you pay for lifetime) it is incredibly crowded. Classes are often packed to the brim. They could easily add more classes, particularly yoga and Zumba to make them more widely available. If you don't sign up in advance, they are often full. The pools are amazing, but again, often full. They host a ton of swim classes and host a swim team and if you go after work, there is a good chance you won't find a swim lane. We pay nearly $4000 a year for two adult memberships, and, at that price point the club really needs to be amazing in terms of pool access and class availability.(without being packed in like sardines). Bottom line: If you don't want year round access to a pool (albeit at strange hours if you want availability), go elsewhere. read more

Most people are wearing masks, but 50% of them aren't covering their noses or they are loosely fitting. I'm not seeing ANY new stations for wipes. NO hand sanitizer in the weight area. I won't be comfortable here unless there's someone walking around and "policing" mask usage. Example: there's a girl huffing and puffing on the treadmill by the weights - not even 6 feet from people on the leg press machines - with her mask off while she's running. I shouldn't feel like I am the one responsible for asking / monitoring. Not recommended coming here (or renewing membership) until stricter enforcement is happening. It's a nice gym, but it's not a friendly environment for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. There aren't any closed captions on the tv's that are mounted to the walls or the tv on elliptical/ treadmill machines. I requested them to turn the CC's on the TVs, they apologized and said they would turn them on . I came back the next day they weren't even on. They're supposed to leave the CC on at all time to make accessible for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. It's the ADA law and it's considering discrimination. I give it 2 stars because they charge 5 star prices ($189.00 mo.) and deliver 3 stars at best. 5 minus 3 = 2. On the positive side, they are a month to month gym with no sign up fee, so if you're interested, you can check it out for the price of one month, and if it doesn't float your boat, you quit relatively painlessly. The price tag of $189.00/mo seemed ridiculously steep, but the salesman told me that once I came down for my free 1 time only free day pass, I might change my mind. I was impressed enough on my free 1 day pass to go ahead and see if it would work for me as a monthly member. Ultimately, the answer was no. The hours are good. They're open 20 hours/day. Why not make it 24 though? You can't pay joe blow to check people in for 4 more hours a day? C'mon. The pool situation is great. If swimming is your thing, you can almost always get a lane. Swimming is my thing, so I was happy with that. However, I am also a sauna and hot tub guy, and the place dropped the ball in the "spa" area of gym membership. The dry sauna was one of the most luke warm pieces of crap I've ever experienced. Even after 45 min. inside of it, I could barely break a sweat. I complained to the facilities manager and he blamed the members for tampering with the thermostat and then he threw some "board of health" guidelines crap at me that made me lose total faith in the idea that anything would ever change. The hot tubs were also on the tepid side, and broken down for days at a time during my brief membership period. Lastly, the showers lacked good pressure, and also seemed to be governed at a temperature just above "warm". I assume it was some type of measure to avoid paying high gas bills or some such. If I'm paying $189.00 a month, the showers better be on point! I ain't takin' no weak luke warm shower in January, dude! If this place charged $60/mo, I'd join forever. $189/mo ... no frickin'way! This is an excellent gym! There are a variety of classes so there is something for everyone. Barbell Strength, Edge Cycle & Yoga are some of my favorite classes. The best part is they have childcare & kids classes so I can drop my kids off to do their activities while I go enjoy my workout. The facility itself is always very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that it has been impossible to get my kids signed up for swim lessons. I had their swim assessment done and filled out all the paperwork but classes were full. When I followed up via email I never got a response via emai& when I went in to talk to someone no one was at the desk at the pool area. Other than that it has been a positive experience.
