There are a lot of good things I see. They have a lot of agents, so it's not hard to find someone to help. They have someone to greet you as you come in, so you can be directed to the right person or place. They have computers for you to use, connected to printers for printing out things. They have free wifi available if you bring your own devices. The printers also fax and copy for you, and someone helped me to scan some documents to a file for emailing. All of these services are free, as long as you are using them for job search. However, the fact that I'm being mandated to report in every single week on Mondays before 12 pm is crazy. I have to physically show up at this office at the same time as hundreds of other people, and I can't make it this coming week because I have to go to court-ordered therapy. I can't imagine what kind of lines this is going to be, because the orientation lady already told us to be there at 8 am sharp, or expect to be waiting and waiting. I'm thinking if everyone shows up at 8 am, that's gonna be a long line for EVERYONE anyway. I hear that they will be giving me some money for gas when I show up, though, so I hope that will happen. Being forced to look for a job, with all the reporting, really detracts from what would otherwise be a great experience. Why shouldn't I be happy with free services to help me find a job? But I'm required to log and sign into their website and attend orientation, etc. It would be nice without the threat of force. I mean, is the irony lost on them that they call themselves "Workforce" when they really mean "Forcework"? So, I think my review is also covering the government policies that created this place... sigh. It takes a bit of practice to navigate in their website. The specialist was quick to walk away and talk with the other employees. He would check on us from time to time but he was in no hurry to help us. Do not be shy to ask for help! It was an overall good experience! Although, I wish they had chairs in the cubicles. She set me up with a great temporary position. The supervisor there stopped his interviews for the position after a few days of me being on site. I then went temp-to-hire and when the time came, Lindsey stayed on him about getting me a permanent offer. I worked for that company for two years, with a promotion. Luckily I found a position on my own but still asked them to keep me on file. When I checked in about two weeks ago, I came to learn they didn't even have a record of me in the system and that if I wanted them to help me I needed to go sign up again. Total waste of time and I guess they have a high turnover rate in their staff because the lady who I had been speaking to wasn't even there anymore. I would definitely not recommend this agency.
