I have been a faithful customer of here for 15 years. This company USED to be so easy to work with and have service through. NOW, I would never recommend anyone to use them unless they find joy in only speaking with call centers overseas that make up obvious names and difficulty in communications. It is horrible now and have no idea what they found beneficial in implementing this change. Had I not signed up for a now short contract I would leave. The call center people are cold, argumentative and absolutely ridiculous. So sad and disappointing to find it has come to this. They're your BEST friend when selling a new $18,000 system to you and and now....who are you? My recommendation is go someone else now. read more

PARDEE IS PART OF A SELF-INSURED PRIVATE EQUITY COMPANY. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE MOLD YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES BELOW. WE ARE STILL OWED OVER $30K, AND THEY HAVE NOT PAID THE CONTRACTOR AS REQUIRED. Updated to 1 star in Jan 2026 for outright negligence in installing and maintaining the system, which led to airborne mold levels over 40X higher than outside air, mold and water damage throughout the entire attic and between two of the second-story walls, and attempts to claim this was normal despite over twenty service calls from the day after it was installed incorrectly until it was removed due to Pardee's negligence and severe lack of attention to detail. Their field service manager is on tape three months after installation, saying, "I told them it wouldn't work with that ducting." Wiring was left hanging off rafters with no cable management, and the controller's terminal board was exposed to the elements because the cover was not installed. Technician rolled his eyes and gave an exasperated sigh when I asked him why he thought it was okay to leave it like that not once, not twice, but even the third time he'd been to the house. It was over three weeks from their first visit to install the system until the thermostat would control the system correctly. In March 2025, during service call somewhere in the teens in the first six months of system being installed, they performed a differential pressure test across the air handler. Their lack of attention to detail resulted in a 1 to 1.5" uncovered hole at the exhaust plenum, blowing cold air into the attic nonstop for months. In May 2025, we noticed the mold in the attic and could smell it in the house. After enough calls to Pardee, the co-GM, Joe, finally came out to look at the system and told me that mold in the attic was normal given the summer humidity in Charleston, which is a stretch for a house built in 2015. It was also a poor attempt to blow smoke up someone who inspected piping and HVAC systems in a former life. In August, I discovered the hole in the exhaust duct and showed Joe the cause-and-effect of Pardee's lack of professionalism. Causation correlated perfectly to our power bills doubling starting the day of that visit in March, and the mold covering the entire attic and blowing throughout the house. At this point Joe said while he couldn't be sure it was the fault of Pardee, they were willing to replace the system. There was no mention of removing or mitigating the mold in our house, which he could no longer deny responsibility and accountability. He said that would require calling his insurance company and he was hoping to handle it without involving them. I recommended he call their insurance company since I was talking to lawyers. We were out of our house for two months while basically the entire second-floor ceiling was replaced, along with all insulation in the attic and portions of walls and floors. It is now January 2026. The house still has not been repaired to code, and Pardee, their private equity firm, Service Advantage Experts, and their insurance representative have stopped responding to emails and phone calls from both us and the contractors they were supposed to pay directly. This is the "insurance" company that will not respond. While their email address ends with @travelers.com it is clear that Travelers has nothing to do with this claim. This is the worse company I've ever dealt with - We had them install a new unit , it has never worked since we had it installed , we then had many of their service people come out . They then told us the problem was our duct work and we needed another 25k of work done . At the end of installing that , on the last day when they reconnected the AC unit , the whole house shook And I heard a very loud bang - the guy working just told me he had no idea what that was and left . The house now is hotter inside than outside . We got home to find the house @ 84 degrees - we called and asked for someone to come out . After waiting for hours we were told the service order wasn't put in / we waited for more hours. A tech came out at 10:15 pm told us the coil was broken and he couldn't fix it and it would have to be ordered and they'd schedule a time to fix it / that means we have NO AC in our home with over 50k worth of work . Wildly overpriced. Paid $100 for a plumber to look at a kitchen faucet leak. He unscrewed the faucet head, found the issue was with the head so I needed a new faucet. He then quoted me $550 to replace the faucet! What a joke. I refused, he reinstalled the faucet head, and it leaks more now than it did before! Don't waste your money with these frauds. I went to Lowe's, bought a faucet, and they quoted me $189 to have a contractor come out and install it for me. Pardee is a scam that forces you into using them when they charge you $100 to have someone give you a quote. DO NOT USE PARDEE FOR ANYTHING! They will rob you blind! read more

After 30 years of service, Pardee has now decided my air handler is in a difficult location (?)! Pardee found evaporator coil leaks in my two year old air handler during an Advantage program HVAC system check up. This is the third Lennox air handler diagnosed, by Pardee, with coil leaks in the past 10 years. This Lennox heat pump has had many problems since it was originally installed by Pardee. Some problems were due to technician errors - like heat strips not hooked up, leaking Schrader valve, loose connections in thermostat, and improperly placed float valves. I decided I had enough with Lennox products. I had another HVAC company look at my system and give a quote on a replacement. . The check found the refrigerant leak was from a badly soldered joint, not the coil. See photos of the leaking solder joint, and the oil stain on the outside and inside of the cabinet where the solder joint passes through the cabinet. Next issue found was that the UV light and 2 bulbs (one new and one old) were found laying on the bottom of the air handler cabinet. The light was not operational due to an unmade connection. Also, note the power cord did not have a connector as it passes through the cabinet (a code requirement). So, I paid for a UV light (and replacement bulb) that may never have been operational. Now I question the competency and reliability of Pardee's technicians. I have been a customer of Pardee for many years, but no longer feel comfortable with them. read more

This company in Mount Pleasant SC will rip you off! We thought our water heater was original to the house. They arrived at our door with no tools and without even checking the tag for it's age or testing the heater, he told us it would cost $3500 to replace our 40 gal tank. When asked to provide a breakdown of the cost, he said they don't do that. When we voiced our disbelief, he said they have a ten-year lease program for $60 a month. That's $7000! Then they took $100 from us for the "sales" call as they hadn't even tested the unit! So, we called our son-in-law who is not a repairman for a better reference. He said he'd come look. He discovered the unit was only 5 years old, both heating elements were working, and one of the thermostats was faulty. That's a $40 part! Word to the wise, check around before you fall for the sales pitch. read more

They came to the apartment we rent as their recommended representatives. We have had no AC or heat since the move in. They came in when my fiancé was here. They spent 10 minutes in the unit and did nothing to resolve the issue. All I can tell they did was unplug the thermostat and removed the air filter and turn every light on in the apartment to never return. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Had them when I managed restaurants as well and we switched companies due to cost and lack of resolution to issues. read more

as someone else stated...a service call resulted in a Sales effort. They gave an outrageous price to fix/ replace a drip pan and i , foolishly, agreed to install a whole new system. Since then there was a never ending series of return calls to correct mistakes or to finish things they never completed. Mr Joe Steen, Co- Manager came to my home with his Chief Technician...Clarence Biech. After reviewing the long list of their errors i told them if it is not fixed right, they could come and get junk. Mr Steen assured me that Pardee wanted to make things right.. and he offered to make 2 payments for me.I said.. I'll take anything I can get to ease the pain, but the System has to perform. Mr Steen has since made 1 payment and the account is currently overdue. I have been trying to contact Mr Steen for about a month with several promises that he would call me.. nothing yet ( checked email, spam, and missed tel calls). Today i spent over an hour on the phone with Pardee's parent (?), Air Engineeri. I've been using Pardee to service mini-splits a/c units for about 4 Years. Great service starts the moment I call to schedule appointment. She wanted to come out that day since we were experiencing record heat but I told her it could wait till next day. Ray showed up as promised. Frank and Shaun were very knowledgeable and personable-they get the only star in my review. I had great intentions of moving forward with them. It's been over a week and I have yet to receive my quote. I've called three separate times on 6/7-6/10-6/13! None of the ladies I spoke with made progress and I still haven't received a quote over a week later. I feel like I'm begging them for their business at this point. AC System installed by them in Apr 2019 stopped cooling. So for the simplification I called them to come take a look. Not only did the service tech show up, but so did the salesman and I knew I was in for a ride. I all ready searched my warranty on the Goodman website and it clearly states 10 year part warranty. The service tech hooked up his gauges and it was reading low. They said its probably leaking somewhere. That was all they did. I watched the service tech type my serial number in the warranty website, see it said 10 years then all of the sudden they had to step out front to get better service and discuss. Well allegedly since I did not pay for their annual maintenance plan, my warranty is void. Then I was handed an estimate for almost $5K to find the leak and replace the most probable cause on top of the $190 for just showing up. I would rather go to trade school for 2 years, get my certification and fix this myself then give this company another cent of my money. Called another company and wouldn't you know a parts warranty is just that, a warranty on the parts good for 10 years. Shocker!!! I really feel bad for the service tech as he was a young guy, clearly on the newer side of the HVAC game and is being taught how to screw people over. After an initial contact with a representative, and a subsequent visit by a technician who evaluated our situation, it went downhill from there. Frequent calls over the past month requesting a coi and documentation for workmen's comp (required by the HOA), and nothing has been forthcoming and all i get are excuses (a family issue, illness, no one in the office....it went on and on. I am finished with them. If you call and are put on hold (which I was for about 7 minutes), there is a litany of positive comments about the company, one of which is we "put our money where our mouth is." NOT SO. Well we will talk about customer service. First we called to have our hvac and all checked out. So why does a salesman come out with the tech??? Second why has the sales man not even touched bases to ensure everything is okay or not? Now someone called everyday names "Jennifer" to get our filters...we rescheduled our appointment with "Jennifer". So when the tech comes out and we ask what's going on he calls Jennifer and puts her on speaker phone. SMH yes people mix things up but Jennifer doesn't need to be the butthead and rude as hell because she forgot to update their schedule . she will never call back her and pardee may not be Back piss poor customer srevive skills... **Update 9/24/19 We have had this install and until only since late May and the ac has went dead NOT working for the 4th time . Just beyond any beliefs. 5/30/2020 So our lovely "leased" equipment was scheduled for the yearly Maintenance in March it was canceled once due to their workers being sick. Now "Amanda" calls and said due to influx demand of homeowners without ac they "want" to see about rescheduling. Interestingly enough we are "PREMIRE" it's sad you want to and it was never said cancelled but you did not show up on the appointment time and day but made more money while taking ours. Second time using Pardee; two five-star experiences. Yesterday my AC quit working, and I could tell the condenser wasn't turning on. I called Pardee around 4:00 pm, and they said they'd send a tech out the next day between 2-4 pm. Service technician Lindell 30 called about minutes before he showed up to assess my HVAC unit. Within a few minutes, he ascertained that my capacitor had gone bad and wasn't holding charge. He replaced the capacitor for a quick repair. I have the [bad?] habit of following around service technicians because I like to be as informed as possible about my house and its appliances. Lindell did a great job of explaining everything to me as he was working. I was able to use a coupon from Pardee's website for a free service call, saving $99. Pardee is an excellent company with top-notch technicians. I will continue to use them for any HVAC needs. read more

So disappointed with the work ethic of this company. I originally contacted them in June 2023 and almost 3 months later, have yet to have my problem resolved (a broken blower) and am out the original $99 service fee. In June I was quoted several options for the blower replacement including signing up for their "advantage" membership, which would fully cover the cost. It took them a month to give me the quote for that program, which would be $36,000 over 10 years. Once I said I was not interested in that program, they stopped returning my calls. The last 2 times I called to request the blower to be ordered (and also to sign up for their maintenace plus program, so they would still be getting my money), they said someone would be in touch and no one ever was. My last phone call, I was told "we don't have any update for you, goodbye." Waste of time and money and terrible way to treat people interested in doing business with your company. I called to make a service appointment Friday morning. They said they would be there Monday from 6-8. I received a call Monday and the lady said they would not be there because I was only getting my unit serviced. I asked why did they make the appointment for me then Friday and she said she didn't make it. I inquired when they could come and she stated they don't come out after 4 for service calls because they only do units that aren't working. She flippantly advised me to call back when I knew my schedule. I said I know my schedule it's m-f and I'm home at 3. She said they couldn't honor my appointment then. What a waste of time. They were supposed to blow insulation on a scheduled day. They never showed up in the morning like they were supposed to. Manager, sales, nor any of the workers called to let us know their machine had broken down. Spoke with the manager who said he was really sorry and they would give us a discount once they had their machine back up. Told us to wait for two weeks waited a month and tried contacting the manager numerous times. Their secretaries would constantly say the manager was not in and I called through out the month. Never heard back from them. It was like getting stood up on a date. Horrible company and the best part on the back of the contract they write about how much they care about customer service what a joke. read more

SHOULD BE AN OPTION FOR "0" STARS BEWARE if you call them to do work for a family member that is a senior citizen. They completely took advantage of my 85 year old Mother that did not realize what she was signing up for. They suckered her into a 10 year contract at $226 a month. If I'm not mistaken most if not all HVAC systems come with a 10 year warranty. While the plan they sold her did include maintenance, service and replacement, it also came to a total of $27,120 over 10 years. Who in their right mind would pay for that. I understand that they replaced the entire system inside and out but I replaced mine within the past few years, also inside and out plus the same size unit which is a name brand, for $5,000 total. So does that mean that service calls and maintenance cost over $22,000 for 10 years? I don't think so. We recently sold her home because she was no longer able to take care of it and had to buy out the contract. Talk about a hit in the wallet. We did manage to get them to come off the payoff amount a bit but not nearly as low as I think it should have been. The real estate agency, closing attorney and buyer all thought the contract was ridiculous. The buyer had to option to take over the contract but declined. Imagine that. I feel as though they took complete advantage of an elderly person who did not understand what they were signing up for. They should be ashamed of themselves for doing that and I will never recommend Pardee for any type of work, EVER. I also plan on contacting the BBB to make them aware of how this company operates. read more

The technician was courteous and skillful, diagnosing the problem and checked to see if our warranty was still valid. The warranty was, thankfully, still in effect. We had an account with Pardee. Our air, which is 5 yrs old was out on Thursday. The service was prompt on Friday. We were told that the coil was gone. They also told us that if they ordered the coil, it was on backorder & some were out 8 months. So, their suggestion was to put a new air/heating pump in. The cost was $200.+ a month for (are you ready?) FOR 10 YEARS. That is $24,000.00 Well, we're 75 yrs old & I guess they will bill the nursing home. Now, today, Monday, we had a company that our daughter recommended, First Choice in Charleston. Tim is the owner & they are going to replace the coil on Thurday for $2500. & that is with add ons. read more
