This really personable and professional guy came out to our house and went through the full spiel with my husband. He was talking about features we had never considered or heard of and really good features that anyone would want to have if you are health conscious. He offered us a quote for a new unit installed outright and then he told us about a 10 year payment program where you get your unit fully maintained and serviced for a monthly cost of $159. My husband was sold on both options, he didn't care which we close, but having a sales background, I'm almost immune and for our needs right now, this was not the program or company for us, but yes, if we were in our forever home, I would have totally considered buying what this man was selling. read more

I had been using Service Experts in Memphis for twice-yearly HVAC maintenance, and my AC had been working perfectly with no issues. I purchased the advantage plan which I receive two maintenance visits per year. During my most recent maintenance visit, the technician changed the filter and checked my 6 year old unit. He gave a report on my unit stating my capacitor reading was not the number it should be. He stated it would eventually go out. Also stated I needed Freon., and the compression would go out soon. About 30 minutes after he left, my house started getting hot. I checked the thermostat and saw the temperature was rising. I immediately called the company because my AC was working fine before the technician touched it. I made it clear to the Office Manager that I wanted my unit working like it was before he touched it and I wasn't paying any money to get it back to a working status. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the office manager seemed more focused on my frustration than on resolving the issue. After speaking with the owner, they sent the technician back. His conversation was the same as the office manager informing me what the technician wrote and telling me my capacitor just happened to go out when he left. Also said that's pretty normal. I can't make this crap up! When the technician returned , he immediately tried to sell me a new capacitor for $268, claiming his readings showed it was failing. I declined because I no longer trusted the company. I then called another HVAC company for a second opinion. Within minutes, they discovered the real problem--the technician left one switch on my breaker off which is why the unit was on when he left but went off 15 minutes later. . They flipped it back on, and my AC worked normal again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my capacitor nor was freon needed. This isn't my first bad experience with Service Experts. Two years ago, after another technician came out for a maintenance visit, my capacitor failed the very next day. A different HVAC company later showed me the burned capacitor that had been removed from my unit. Keep in mind that wasn't on the report. I told the Service Expert and the other company that came out to replace it that it's very ironic my capacitor went out the very next day. Looking back, I strongly believe my original capacitor was replaced during that visit. Based on my experiences, I no longer trust Service Experts. I cannot recommend a company that creates unnecessary problems and then tries to sell expensive repairs that aren't needed. I would encourage anyone considering their services to get a second opinion before approving any recommended repairs. Also stay away from the maintenance service plan because it's only a gimmick to upsell at the customers expense. They will call you for your service visit that you pay on a monthly installment only to find a way to get more money out of you at any cost!!!! read more

Wow this has been 2 years of HELL! This is the straw that broke the camels back. I rent a property and the owner had replaced her entire HVAC system with them. They have been to the property over 29 times. Fell through the ceiling. Left me without ac for over a month. Flooded the ceiling 5 times ... they don't know what they are doing! My bill went from $250 a month to $600 a month because they put in a system too large for the condo... as a single mom this has killed me... I am making plans to move back to Florida I refuse to stay here anymore. They took advantage of a good women and me and my 2 year old by lying and selling a system they didn't even know how to installed then ruined multiple items by falling through the roof and flooding creating black mold. I hope the home owner gets back the money she is owed and has everything fixed. I haven't gotten any money back for my inflated electric bill. As a single mom with no help from anyone this has been detrimental to me. I could've bought a brand new car in the money I've overspent in the last two years and I can't save money because everything I had planned to save is now going into utility bill!! Karma and God always gets people back when I do things like this. So I'm sure God will get them back for the evil they've done. read more

Had my unit go out in middle summer...gave them a call and had free estimate and plenty of options on units...got it put in and the system had couple of hiccups to it...they came out to get everything to work...the service manager came out and got on the horn with manufacturer and got to the bottom of problem and got it fixed...service experts go out of there way to make sure things are on point and working tip top....highly recommend read more

Service Experts has untrained installation & service techs and very poor customer service. on 10/12/2022 They installed unsafely, incorrectly and Not up to Shelby County Code Requirements. They did not make sure new gas furnace & gas hot water heater was Inspected for safety or proper installation. 4 Months when I found out that Service Experts incorrectly installed with wrong size & type ventilation duct work (flue vent pipes). Hot water heater flue was too small and not double walled as required & not at 90 degree angle for proper exhaust fumes. Furnace & Hot Water Heater were not installed with correct ductwork and not exhausted to outside through chimney. This incompetence put my life & family lives at Risk for deadly Carbon Monoxide poisoning for 4 months. General Manager, 3 Managers did not apologize & tried to put off to the next week to correct. It took several calls from me & a family member as well as calls to Code Enforcement to get corrected. Service Experts never scheduled Code Inspector but my family member called them directly. Service Experts is No Expert and failed to do proper job. No Apology given. They do not care about their loyal customers. Poor Customer Service as well as Installation & Service Techs need more training. Two Techs did not understand what Code Inspector meant when he repeatedly explained Code Violations. Worst & most deadly experience in my life. DO NOT USE SERVICE EXPERTS because they are NO EXPERT in HVAC, plumbing or anything else! read more

Returned home from a week-long summer vacation to a ninety degree house. Service Experts were able to schedule and arrive in less than 12 hours. I was sold after being advised that the initial service fee was waived for First Responders!!! The technician, Alan, was very knowledgeable and completed the diagnosis in approximately 20 minutes. My unit was beyond repair and the salesman, Terry Gaines, arrived shortly after. Terry was very sociable and knowledgeable.
