They are Authorized dealers for Nikon so that's what brought me to them. Awesome customer service.

That did not slow them down at all. When it did come time for me to purchase a camera I could not think of anywhere else I would rather go than this store. Gary and the team were super helpful and willing to invest in a dad shopping for his son even if I bought somewhere else. Prices were great, selection had everything I needed all in one location. They even setup a free 1-1 hour long lesson with my son to learn about the camera. Highly recommended and will not hesitate to purchase here again.

I don't usually give reviews on yelp, but my fiancé and I are extremely disappointed. He brought in his film camera to see if it could get fixed, they first told him it could for a certain price, then switched up and said the part didn't exist but they could help him buy a new camera. Then they tried to claim it "wasn't brought in with a strap attached" when it was. Additionally, he dropped off multiple rolls of film only to have rolls missing when he got the scans back. After asking and being told "our Film tech would never miss a roll of film", he had to insist that he was missing a roll, to then later receive an email being told the roll was "found." We also were not aware that there were issues with the Chemical Composition used for the development of 35mm film in color. It had affected his and friend's film last summer and was incredibly disappointing for us to get those back with no communication or refund of any sort. We'd love to get back to going through this business but they have "lost" too much of our stuff which is irresponsible and cost us in the long run.

I had the opportunity for a major exhibition of 40 years of my art photography, displayed in a very…read morecreative theatrical space. I knew I was going to want to display a large number of images, so frames were out of the question for a lot of reasons. I turned to Nations Photo Lab's Lustre Prints mounted on single-mat backing. Perfect (much lower cost) solution. Savings tip: Nations runs sales constantly, so if you have time, watch your email for the next discount usually ending the following Monday. My photography depends on projected images and light involving non-realistic colors, so I knew I couldn't choose color correction. Nations was able to provide me with the color calibration for the printer they would use, so I could have my Lightroom and Photoshop color calibrated for their printer (perfect). Then it was just a matter of adjusting brightness for the difference between digital screen and print (it's worth doing a few test prints to be sure). I ended up with 167 images in the gallery, ranging from 5x7 to 20x30 (most 11x14), printed in several batches. Turnaround time was great (usually about a week to 10 days) and everything was packed well and safely. The quality of the images was outstanding, and the lustre prints held up exceedingly well in a public gallery for two weeks with a lot of traffic (including touching!) The single mat mounting was perfect for wall display, and even worked for suspended mounting from pipe-and-drape without warping (plus an 11x14 image with single-mat mounting is only 3 ounces). Thanks to Nations for helping me mount a beautiful, quality, cost effective, huge gallery exhibition.

Nations Photo working there be careful. The York, PA location but might apply to Md too…read more I worked at Nations Photo Lab and it was alright experience in print manufacturing. I worked on the shipping side of things. There are parts of the facility that can be fasted paced. They have some cool photography equipment as well. The company was started by three photographers Ryan Millman, Harvis Kramer, and Jon Weinstock. I saw Ryan Millman and he is a nice dude but he wanted orders out fast. If you are human and not a robot just do the best you can. They were good about you having breaks but be careful about that as well. I use to go to my car but I stopped after awhile because supervisors like to see who is on the parking lot and look through windows. They have other companies beside Nation Photo. Nations Photo is their main company but they also have Nations Photo Lab, Artsy Couture (operating under Gallery Blocks LLC, ) GreekYearbook, UnDigital and PPE USA. My one suggestion is to have more than one sign and sign out area. Now here is the thing I noticed Nations lab has two printing manufacturing buildings one in York PA and another off of York Rd in Hunt Valley, Md. Now I noticed both areas are near jails or correctional facilities. When I worked there I was coming in kind of innocent to the how they operate. I have a background in some of what they do but I was innocent to how they run their operation. Main thing they want you to do is get orders out as quickly as possible. Large format to regular size prints. They have more industrial photo equipment on the other side of the facility. Now back to the jail scenario. They can not tell you who does or who does not have a record. You have to be careful in some regard especially if you are a black male you have to be careful because you do not want them to accuse you of being in that category. You do not have a criminal record at all. Now everyone deserves another chance but still. Just be on your P and Qs. I talked to one guy in the back and he told me never take off if you can. That is at most jobs but it is just the nature of business period unless you have passive income. If you do that is great. Also everyone makes boxes! If you have to box anything or wrap anything make sure to tape it like crazy. Package it nice but tape it like crazy. Also on the computers make sure to sign out and sign in properly. They have one IT guy but also an engineer who helps run the equipment. He is not the only one because supervisors have to know as well. The engineer has to make sure all the photo equipment is ran properly. They have like one converyor belt but have print machine that cuts the photos all different sizes at once. I think that is cool. They also have frames as well. So you have to be very careful framing because of glass, metal, and the hanging clips on the back of the photo. Wrap the frames. They have a canvas machine as well and that is a whole other subject by itself. You have to be careful with that. I worked with some nice people but I also worked with some characters as well. I would say if you apply there directly fully research the place. This goes for any job. Also if you have any other things you need to wear just make sure they know in the beginning so there is no things said about you that are not true. Let management know in the beginning. Also if you are not a smoker like me then you must brace yourself. A lot of people there smoke. I hate cigarette and electronic cigarette smoke. Most people smoke away from the place but still it may linger in the air. So just be on your guard. Funny thing is I met a guy who complained about not working with certain people on the job. I'm like you do not even know these people. You have to give someone a chance. He quit in the middle of a busy season. A few other folks did it too. Unless the person is really out there you do not want to let good people go. I did not quit but I went through enough there and learned what I needed to know. The ones who want to help a company are the ones you want to keep but if anything I learned how they operate. That gave me some insight how large printing places operate. I stayed, learned a great deal, and gained valuable insight into how a large commercial printing operation functions. Overall, I came away with a much better understanding of high-volume photo printing, packaging, shipping, framing, and production workflows. One thing I appreciated was that the company often provided food and snacks for employees, which was a nice benefit. Anyone considering this type of work should know that it is physically demanding. Photography production, printing, framing, packaging, and shipping all require you to stay on your feet for most of the day and remain active throughout your shift. I was greatful for the income but you have to be careful. Also temp employees are not paid for time off and that includes holidays. Permanent employees are paid.

Gregg Landry and his Baltimore County-based businesses -- Bluerock Productions and Towson Transfer…read more-- were recommended to me by the engineer who headed the BO&E department of CBS TV affiliate WJZ-TV. CBS had been a client for many years and I needed boxes and boxes of old VHS tapes converted to digital. Gregg went above and beyond. He quoted a price (Towson Transfers) , but then made the effort to weed out duplicates and tapes too badly decomposed to produce any good digital images and the result was a reduced bill and a body of work worth viewing. He also helped me cart the whole pile up to his office. But wait! It doesn't stop there! I also used his other company, Bluerock Productions, which offers video and photography filming services, editing and more and wow! Did he sure deliver on the "more!" On Christmas Eve I got a last-minute call from a big casting director looking to insert me into a Hallmark Film where the other actress had to drop out. I needed to do an audition ASAP; have the video production quality GREAT and have a "reader." Gregg answered his phone on Christmas Eve and agreed to come into the office the day after Christmas to help me film the audition. He was a great reader, and the quality of the video was superb. As I had just moved, all of my equipment was in storage, not accessible and not many people are willing to be a reader "at the last minute" anyway. What a super all-round great guy, great companies, great work.
