Air Duct Cleaning Near Me

I hired this company to clean my air ducts. The technician told me I had mold and bacteria in my AC…read moreunit and recommended that I purchase UV lights from them. I chose to get a second opinion. The other company noted (see photos) that the area around the vent was still dirty, and at least one of the vents (which had recently been painted and had unbroken paint on the screws) looked like it hadn't been opened. When I brought this up to the company and requested a refund, I was told that I had paid for a basic cleaning, which covered the interior of the duct lines but didn't include vents and covers, and that those were covered under a deep cleaning service. I was not informed that there was a difference in cleaning types when setting up the service, and I noted that their website didn't specify this, either. Specifically, their website states, "Utilizing advanced equipment and industry-approved techniques, our skilled technicians meticulously clean all components of your duct system. This includes the supply and return ducts, registers, grills, diffusers, and associated parts." Their website also uses the phrase "beyond basic cleaning" to describe their sanitation and deodorization services--not their register/grille cleaning. After I pointed out via text that their website doesn't distinguish between basic and deep cleaning, I was ghosted. If you're going to pay for this, be aware of what you're getting.

Then, they rescheduled for Sun, 2-4. At 2:05 I called them to confirm apt, again being told they needed to reschedule, in the meantime thats 4 days of laundry being backed up! I complained to the owner how horrible their business practices were & I contacted AirDuctCleaning & was able to book an immediate appt. Ami, the technician was able to clean my dryer vent AND replace the aluminum tubing in a very short time! I WISH I'd have called them First! THIS is excellent customer service! And the cost was less than what I was expecting quoted for the initial visit from the other business! Very appreciative of the speedy quality service!

I have American Home Shield and they sent Complete Air Mechanical of Central Florida to service our…read moreA/C. We had a good first interaction and they ended up recommending a new A/C though a replacement program with American Home Shield. They had us select the unit and financing and scheduled an install date. I asked repeatedly if there was anything I needed to do on my end and if everything was included in the quote. Our old air conditioner had a damaged metal housing going into the house which I was calling the ductwork and later found out they refer to this in A/C terms as a doghouse. We had two pieces of corrugated metal covering the hole and a brick on top of it to hold it down. (long story) but they took a picture of that and said it looked.... fine... perfect... and did not need to be replaced. LOL. I repeatedly asked if the new AC unit (which was 8K) came with a new pad and a new metal ductwork into the house. I was reassured that everything was included. Install day comes and they do install a new pad but they also reinstall the old rusty doghouse with hole it in which is just not acceptable for a new unit. I was reassured that they had more than 20 years experience and that they did not notice anything wrong with the doghouse so it was reinstalled... I called AHS and was told that the doghouse should have been replaced and they reopened a service ticket to have it done. I was told I would need to measure the existing doghouse and one would be made at our cost. (AHS already told me this should be covered and that they will cover it but only if Complete Air Mechanical of Central Florida will measure it so that its done correctly.... at this point I am still waiting to hear back and plan to follow up with AHS and if needed the Better Business Bureau. As I started looking into the whole process, I also noticed that a permit was never filed with the City of Cape Coral for the A/C replacement, so I am following up with the city and county. It is a code violation to do any work before a permit has been issued. When I asked about the permit, saying I did not see that one had been filed the response was... You wanted a permit?! That will be $150 and we can file it for you. I definitely want a permit, but I am wondering why Complete Air Mechanical of Central Florida is able to do work in Cape Coral or Lee County if they are not getting permits for the work they are doing? Still waiting to hear back from Complete Air Mechanical of Central Florida on this one too. I want a permit, and of course I want the work inspected. So frustrating and unprofessional. On the brighter side of things, the technician they sent to the house (Jivanny) was very polite and professional. The work seems to have been done with a lot of attention, so that is one good side to this experience.
