Was out of town and came home to A/C not working last night. Today I called the on-call tech (Michael) who promptly returned a call to me after I left a voicemail. He talked me through a troubleshoot. He said that he would call me later-after he finished the call that he was currently on to see how the troubleshoot went for me- which he did! Sadly, I thought since I bought a five thousand dollar unit from them 5 years ago they would be the best people to call, I couldn't have been more wrong! My wife called me and said her A/C wasn't working in her Orlando home. I found Matthew Roberts on a Yelp review, and after reading several of them I told my wife to call Matthew Roberts. The tech showed up fairly quickly, and identified the problem. He told my wife that depending on part availability, they would let her know when it could be fixed. They got the the part and had it installed and working late that afternoon. My wife said the tech was friendly and knowledgeable, and very respectful. There were a couple of things I was concerned about, but after ranting on with with Kevin ( I'm old with nothing better to do), he resolved them in a professional, understanding and caring manner. Liars!!! They came to do maintenance at my home charge me for it and while the technician was writing the receipt he wrote that he had checked the pipes and pour treatment that I guess is supposed to be bleach he never did that. In fact he didn't even bring anything with him when he went to the attic where the furnace is located. Three weeks later the pipes had clogged because he did not do the maintenance. Don't bother to call if anything happens to your AC after they come in because they will not take any accountability for it. There are other companies that are more reliable, caring and honest for less. read more

We had Matthew Roberts AC come out to do a check up on our AC after purchasing our home. The unit itself is about 13 years old so we expected something would need to be replaced or repaired. Michael came out and was very professional. He wore a mask the entire visit and cleaned/inspected the unit. He didn't find anything wrong with it other than the regular maintenance needed. He didn't try to sell us on anything (which admittedly, would have probably been easy to do with such an old unit). The price for the visit was very reasonable. Michael had already driven away when we realized he had called and he graciously came back without complaint. He mentioned they DO NOT work on any kind of commission which we felt allowed him to be honest with us. We will continue using Matthew Roberts AC for our future needs! read more

Finished remodeling and needed an extra Air Duct. Luke estimated the work, and provided me with a very reasonable price and scope of work. Technicians showed up on time, and did an excellent job. Out attic is very tight, but they were able to crawl the attic and correct several other issues. They also serviced my unit, and it has never ran better. read more

We just had an A/C system installed by Matthew Roberts A/C. The installers were some of the most friendly and professional folks we've had the pleasure dealing with. They took their time and made sure the entire installation was correct the first time, they even discovered an issue with two of the breakers (breakers were the incorrect size and mislabeled) and fixed the issue, no questions asked. I've used Matthew Roberts for 2 issues in the last 6 months and they are about as genuine and trustworthy as you can get. We had one big issue and they didn't beat around the bush...they were very knowledgeable and provided us with our options. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and that you fully understand the issue. We have a new baby so the last thing we need is a hot house and for both problems, they were at our house so fast, which I really appreciate. We requested service on a Friday and so surprised that they could come out that day. First one technician came out and was very nice, however, shortly after he left, we saw the problem had returned. But they were so great and sent another technician (Michael) out a few hours later. He was able to fully resolve the issue and we were very happy with the service, the cost was reasonable, and both employees were professional, friendly and likeable. A fantastic, trust worthy company. Found them after extensive online research. They did not have one single bad review anywhere and ZERO complaints with the BBB in 3 years. My online research said the capacitor was likely broken because the fan wasn't moving. When I called and asked questions, they scheduler passed me to a technician to answer all my questions, tell me possible issues, and even give a "guesstimate" of the total cost if it was the capacitor, like I thought. He said likely not over $200. They required $90 hold on my credit card to schedule service. This made me slightly uneasy, but given the good reviews (and having slept in 87' the night before because I didn't want to pay for Sunday service), I scheduled them. They were there by noon (3 hrs after I called) and it was the capacitor. The guy was nice and honest. He fixed my ac and even cleaned the coils and replaced some bad wiring for free. The total was $150. I was very happy with their service and honesty. Will do business with them again! read more

Our air conditioning went out in January of this year and the company we had gotten it from no longer existed so we had to find a new company. We looked around and asked a few people we knew who they were with. One of them mentioned Matthew Roberts and gave them a great referral. We were a little hesitant but decided to give them a try. The tech who came out to give us a figure was AWESOME! He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and was really patient with us as we asked a ton of questions to figure out where we wanted to go since we currently had no A/C. They worked up a quote with a couple different options. We decided that our system was old enough it was time to replace. The install went smoothly and even with some needed "tweaks". This company has the best customer service and well trained technicians. My air-conditioning was not working at all, in the middle of summer! They answered the phone right away and came out that day. Jose spent hours working on my air-conditioning ,got it working and then came back the next day to finish the job. They found a different problem than was originally diagnosed with a company that left me hanging for a week until they could do a repair. The original company was completely wrong, so glad they didn't come back! We used Matthew Roberts A/C for years in the past, and they were great. However, we recently had our drain clogged, which caused a joint to leak. The tech wanted to rip our entire ceiling out, and made an unnecessarily large hole. The tech persisted that there was a hole on the top side of the pipe. Had three other companies come out, and confirmed that the leak was just because the clog, and it was all fixed. There was no leak, especially since it was a PVC pipe! He took unnecessarily long unclogging the drain, so he can charge us for 3 hours with weekend rates. Later on, the tech called saying he was on his way back to rip up the ceiling, although we did not even make an appointment! The insurance company won't even cover the price of the hole because it did not need to be that large, which damaged the wall. I would not recommend Matthew Roberts to anyone!! Crooks who only care about their wallet! Additionally, he was trying to sell us a new unit due to rusty coils, while the other three companies said we have at least 3 years min left on the units!! read more
