The fact that this location has been operating for decades locally here in the Myrtle Beach area is…read morea huge accomplishment on its own but it s not the reason I chose to do business with them. What the deciding factor was the fact that they are very community focused. I see them everywhere, from the festivals where they help dogs get adopted to the news in the morning helping animals and even recently I came across an article online about their Creating Hope program. They are helping disabled people in Horry and Georgetown Counties with living conditions and easing the everyday struggles healthy people take for granted. That is why they will always get my business, whether its a simple carpet cleaning, my office gets invaded by mold, the pipes freeze and burst this winter or my Christmas tree causes a huge house fire they will get my business because I will know that indirectly Im helping my community too! (PS I hope none of that stuff happens to me anytime soon haha)

So I resubmit this to the insurance company. Obviously the unit owners insurance company was NOT…read morehappy. Tge insurance adjuster contacts ServPro. I was then essentially accused of lying by the insurance adjuster of asking them to pad the price! Like what?!!! I had no idea what needed to be done to fix my issues nor did I have any affiliation with anyone at ServPro! The insurance adjuster reply to insurance company in regards to quotes Hi X, I was able to speak with Kelly at Serv Pro of Myrtle Beach today. We have been playing phone tag for more than two weeks. Kelly indicated that they are not aware of any estimate or scope for this address or claimant. They have not completed any scope of work at the loss location and have no service agreement with Lauren Meader or (2nd fl unit owner) Kelly also indicated that they would not stand behind any estimate provided by David Brothers or any bid lacking a service agreement. As we knew previously, the estimator, David Brothers is no longer working for Serv Pro. The contested items within the estimate provided by Mr. Brothers are abundant. The scope of work suggested is more in-line with damages from a CAT-3 water loss which would include contaminated water and the risk of possible organic growth. The water that caused this loss is from the supply line for the toilet in the unit above. The leak was from the supply line and never entered the toilet; furthermore, there is no reported sewage back-up. This would be a CAT-1 water loss with no contaminants. The incorrect scope continues with misidentified ceiling texture, over scoping of repairs and an unnecessary/exorbitant pack out. The estimate received from David Brothers reads more like a requested scope of work with instructions from the claimant." So thanks "KELLY" whoever you are. Accusing ME of influencing YOUR WORKERS? Holy hell...WHO is Kelly? And how can you not stand behind your own company estimates? AND there was never a question of it being Category 3 water. Keep in mind I had a 2nd estimate from Daniel Crosson at ServPro...a CURRENT employee and he copied like 6 people at ServPro! So I had an UPDATED estimate that was HIGHER than David Brothers. Servpro ignored any further requests or communication from the insurance company. I had to fight and prove scope of work and damage and basically say regardless of whatever the fuck drama is going on at ServPro their miscommunication and blatant lies and denials THEY PROVIDED UP TO DATE ESTIMATES! I DO EXIST! I sent screen shots of texts, phone call log, emails proving everything. Their inaccurate response and interaction with the insurance caused me added stress and arguments with the insurance company! To claim I dont exist yet I have quotes then to not stand behind them unless and until I sign a contract? That is so sketchy! I had other quotes from other contractors and it took months to argue my issues and get it settled with the insurance. For a top rated company, the behavior and treatment (with the exception of Daniel Crosson who was the only nice and comminicative one in the company) was DISGUSTING! Thank GOD for paper trails and my diligence and communication but to deal with this for 7 months was CRAZY! I did get my issues mitigated PROFESSIONALLY by Restoration 1 They were outstanding and did an impressive job. They communicated well. Worked clean. Came in less than they quoted me and were honest. They worked around my pets. Returned calls and were never RUDE. Very happy customer of them. Daniel Crosson if you see this, maybe switch companies! You deserve to work for better people. I do appreciate your help when we were in contact

I contracted Servpro to pump out my Dad's basement on 01/08/2020. Although the team they sent was…read morevery nice they clearly didn't understand what they were doing and the work ultimately took 2.5 hours longer that needed. Upon arrival the team estimated that the project would take approximately 1 hour. 2 hours late there had been minimal progress and they assured me it would only take an hour more. After another hour and a half I checked on them again to find that half of the water still remained and that the team had not been monitoring the hose allowing it to flow only 1/3 submerged and thus not pumping at full capacity. At this time I when into the basement with the hose and full submerged it by the sunk-pump. Within an hour the remaining half of the water was drained. Servpro charged me a total of 5 hours for the job despite the fact that I had to instruct their team and perform 1/2 of the work myself. I requested that they only charge 2.5 hours give the lack of quality form the crew and the fact that I had to perform 1/2 the work myself. Servpro said their charges were fair and that they had to empty their water tank over 100 times (as documented via email). This is illogical as it takes approx 5-10 minuets to empty the tank which would mean the spend between 8 - 16 hours to empty the tank and the team was onsite only 5 hours. I'll be filling an additional complaint with their Corporate office as well as the better business bureau. I personally have no problem paying for the 2.5 hours it should have taken for their services, I have a problem paying for their lack of training and for work I did myself.

They came the day they were called to start & returned my belongings on the date requested. Everything was well packed and put back in place. I did not use them for the water abatement, but will if I ever need help again!
