I placed 4 calls the first day and only Dustin from Brothers returned my call almost immediatey. Within a day he had already researched the product I needed and was ready to schedule an installation. Although I was impressed with the attention to detail and responsiveness I was receiving, I still wanted to do my due diligence in researching other companies for products and pricing. In the end these guys turned out to be the clear front runners in all areas of concern. They completed our project at a competitive price and even gave us a follow-up call to ensure our satisfaction. We have a small 3 bedroom house and they charged us $15000. The workmanship seems poor like they rushed it. The refrigerant lines running into the house to the evaporator coil, run down into the middle of the utility room, then over to the duct work around chest height. Effectively cutting off the usefulness for our storage area behind them. They installed the condensate drain line so it runs across the floor to a drain on the other side of the room, when a drain was available next to the furnace. This unsecured PVC pipe now creates a tripping hazard, not to mention an obstacle to rolling heavy objects that we have stored behind it. I would not recommend this company.

Come heating season, and it turns out, the new thermostat they built in does not connect to the furnace. Made two phone calls during business hours and spoke with "Tessa" from their office twice. Nothing. Friday afternoon, I called again! Oh, did you know, they close at noon?! There's only their Atlanta-based answering service, and they can't do anything. With low temperatures in the 30s forecast for the weekend! Now it's Monday afternoon, and still, no call back, no technician, no attempt to fix the faulty hardware they installed. I'm fine though; I called *Five Star Plumbing Heating and Air* Friday night, and they came out within the hour, accurately diagnosed the issue, and replaced the faulty thermostat from MES. So if you need equipment or service, go with Five Star the first time; Mechanical Energy Systems is not able to back up their "ten-year warranty" that is still sticking on my equipment: Once the installation is done and paid for, they will nof return your call again.

Unexpectedly, the electrician who installed the thermostat discovered that our radon mitigation fan was not working. Tom and Brandon immediately went to work to resolve the situation, crawling into the attic least twice and checking the monitor several times to make sure it was working properly before they left. We are very grateful that they stayed to fix the problem, saving us from having to make another service call and, most importantly, improving the safety of our home. I contacted H&S Heating and A/C as an emergency on Sunday 7/12/26 based on their 24 hr service…read moreadvertising. The trip charge for an off their regular hrs service call is $250. for that my furnace air filter was changed (I had the new one) and a couple of components were tested and determined to be ok, the tek was here about 25 to 30 mins. I had turned the AC off when I realized it was blowing warm air prior to the service call, when the air filter was changed and the unit was turned back on, it did start to put out cool air again, it seemed ok, but it never fully came back it would work intermittently and never reached the temperature setting selected fully it always stayed warmer and was running continuously, then it just stopped putting out any cool air at all and so the problem was not a need for a new air filter the problem was not solved. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART! When I recontacted them to explain all of that, they wanted another $250 after hours charge to come back after 4 pm after my working hours to correctly diagnose the problem even though this did not happen in the original service call. Moral of the story. IF THEY DONT GET IT RIGHT THE 1ST TIME YOU WILL PAY FOR THE ERROR

He looked at the A/C and said itz a small leak (pound and 1/2 down), but that he could add refrigerant and it would buy us some time; at least through the remainder of this year. Im so happy I called Austin as he is saving me some money right now and he was honest with me. I feel like the other technician didn't even give this as a solution; they just want me to buy a new A/C now. We really appreciate Austin's honesty with us. We know it needs to be replaced in the near future, but Austin didn't push selling a new A/C right now. I appreciate an honest and hard working person. You won't go wrong with A&F Heating and Air.
