Not Impressed at all. I read a lot of good reviews about this place but I just left after I receiving a gold level car wash. I can see spots all over my glass, streaky leather seats, dusty compartments still....and they took 30 mins to do this, I don't get it. All that time and my car just looks "basically " cleaned. read more

I've been told to not go to this car wash and wish I listened. Just spent about 40$ on an interior and exterior wash for my car. When they called me over because it was ready there was still dirt streaks, bird poop, and sap all over my car. I pointed it out to them and 2 of them men working cleaned what I pointed out off. Another guy came over and was like where is all this stuff ur talking about and I told him the other guys already cleaned it off but he kept asking me where it was. After I put everything back in my center console that was just thrown and left on the seat of my car, I left. When I got home I took these photos. ITS STILL DIRTY!! For the price I just paid for this, this is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to tell people how to do their job. The sap marks in these photos easily come off with my nail so I don't understand how they couldn't have gotten them off at the car wash which I paid them to do. Wish I could take back the tip I left in the box before seeing that my car was still dirty. The only reason I've ever came here is because it's the closest one to my house. From now on I will be going to the car wash in Centereach where they are a lot nicer and actually care about doing their job rather than doing a half ass job and sending you on your way. read more

I have a collector car and it sat in storage over the winter. This year, for whatever reason, the car interior was covered in green mold, What. The. Eff!!! This car is my pride and joy, It brings me back to my youth! I brought it straight to the owner and he said, no worries. We'll hook you up and make it clean again. Sure enough, he charged a fair price for detailing and cleaned up my car, it's like it new again! This is the first time I went to this car wash. In the middle of my car being cleaned I had an appointment and had to leave my car there. I spoke to the Jeff who was nice enough to allow it and parked it out of the way. I came back 40 minutes later. I couldn't be happier. It was so clean and what surprised me is the gentleman who was cleaning my car found my daughter's ring. I had no idea until I got home and saw it in the cup holder. I have been here twice and I can safely say I will never be back. The first time I was here with my old car which had some scratches on the paint and the interior had seen better days so it was hard to gauge the full extent of the cleaning job done on the car. I wasn't super impressed compared to other places in the area but I figured I would give them another try. I have a new car which is only 3 weeks old so it was really easy to see areas where they did a crap job. My first issue is that I paid for a gold wash which is supposed to include foam wax, but I watched my car run through and the foam wax equipment never went on or dispensed. This wash level is supposed to also come with a special tire scrub which I noticed was never done either. As I sat and waited I watched the cars running through the tunnel and never once did the equipment for the add ons like foam wax ever turn on, even if the person paid for a gold or platinum wash. SCAM. Also, I watched them working on finishing the cars and they do the exact same procedure on every vehicle, so you might as well just get the Silver wax since you're only getting it anyway no matter what you pay for. They did an ok job of vacuuming, there wasn't much to clean since my car is only weeks old, but they did a horrible job on my windows. My windows left more streaky and smudgy than before the wash and I had to go in and clean them again when I got home. There were areas on my paint that were also smudged and looked worse than before the wash. They also use a sprayer to apply the tire shine and it splattered greasy spots of tire shine all over my paint and the plastic trim around the wheels and bottom of my car, which I had to then go in and clean up as well and it has left stains on the plastic which I hope eventually come out otherwise I am going to be majorly pissed. I suggest you take your car elsewhere, I'm sticking with Eager Beaver from now on, they do a better job and actually do the wash you pay for. Just to clarify, it was the foam wax arch that didn't light up, not the hot wax... they are clearly marked with what they are and I can read. They also say they will light up when being applied, nothing lit up or dispensed from the foam wax for my car or any other car that went through. I shouldn't have to ask for a manager to get the service I paid for, ridiculous... and I'm not the only one who paid for a gold wash and didn't get any wax. Another reviewer made the same complaint, clearly this is common practice. read more

The quality and care that went into the thorough cleaning of my work vehicle was top notch. I left this establishment with an extremely positive impression. I will be bringing my personal vehicle here in the near future. I had some concerns with height restrictions (as I could not get my Ford Transit cleaned here) for the Chevy Tahoe, but they were able to clear it well into the facility. The wash did the car some good and the follow-up by the attendant afterwards was very personal - as if he treated the car as his own. The car looked absolutely mint on the inside and out. The attendant even cleaned the Weather-tech floor mats to be spotless. I have not yet experienced such top notch service for a service contract. See you soon! read more

I just brought my work Jeep in for a platinum package wash. I can't believe that I haven't brought my vehicle here before!! They're extremely busy but the finishing/detailing area in the back had a dozen stations & 15guys hustling their asses off in the heat. I didn't expect the quality I received for $25 & in the future will most definitely be returning. In fact I think I'm going to come back in 2 weeks for "the works" in which I'll need to completely remove my tools so they can get every square inch. They don't do detailing but "the works" package is an hour & a half process that returns your vehicle to factory like condition. You need to go first thing in the morning though or they won't do it when thry get too busy. Get there at 730am with coffee & a good book. Next door has a great bagel place in the shopping center wgere you can chill while your car is being finished! read more

Waste of $$$$.Got the Silver package, nearly $30.00 . Outside was washed properly(of course) machine washed it. Inside had minor sand and grass from a trip to the beach. I just noticed they posted signs they are not responsible for damage to rear windshield wipers. So if you have an SUV, you had better go to Eager Beaver on rte 347. Never had an issue at Eager Beaver, but this past Saturday Setauket Car wash tore my rear wiper off. Never again. read more

They do a great job here. I got the titanium wash for my Honda Accord and it was in desperate need of some cleaning up inside and out. They managed to get off this hardened dirt stain right on the passenger side door that's been bugging me for awhile now. As far as interior, they vaccummed it up nicely and cleaned the windows well, too. This isn't to say that it was spotless; there's some small stains near the stick that got missed and the bumper had some stuff left on it. But, I didn't pay for super fine detailing. For ~38 dollars after tax, they brought my rather dirty car back to a rather clean condition. Overall, it's not that bad of a wait and I think the service matches the price. I'd suggest going early in the morning. The line wasn't that bad. read more

The woman was extremely rude on the phone, left us on hold and forgot about it while trying to make a detailing appointment, came in and she gave us a nasty look, couldnt be bothered with us, told us she would call us when it was done. 7 hours go by, no word on my car. We call the place. She picks up the phone with no greeting and when we ask if it's done she says yes and hangs up. We come by, and after paying almost 200 dollars we find out they've drained our battery and our car will not start. They were unapologetic and blamed the bad battery on us, but seeing as the car is less than 3 years old and lightly used I do not see that being possible. I will never come back. I know it's my fault my car wasn't pristine but that's why you get it cleaned. I payed for the highest package and it still came out with hardened wax drops all over it that I don't know how to take off, black dirt marks all over the exterior that could have and should have been wiped off following the manual drive through wash and towel dry (not sure how it didn't come off), car mat still had a stickiness stain that could have been washed off, the gas cap compartment was completely untouched and there were still marks on my interior doors that were still there- even my windows needed to be washed again. I had to remove the stains and do it on my own when I got home. I know it can't be perfect but it was far far far from it and I paid a lot of money to get it cleaned "professionally." Funny thing is, it looked like the woman doing it was working up a sweat and getting through with her job like it was a big performance. I was really excited for my car to feel fresh. It was really disappointing- won't be going back or recommending it to anyone. read more

Hands down- the best car wash on Long Island. They never rush through the cleaning- and they always do a phenomenal job. I have always raved about them. What prompted me to write this review was that someone had scratched my brand new car (not at the car wash) and I tried to remove the scratch myself and I ended up damaging the paint. When I was getting my car cleaned today I was telling the workers how I ruined the paint and they offered to compound it out for me. So I said sure. End result- it looks stunning and they removed the damage I had done to it. They made my day. And they didn't charge me and wouldn't accept a tip. I highly recommend this car wash. I visited Setauket car wash after driving to Don's Car Wash in Smithtown where the line was outrageous. I was disappointed when I arrived to SCW to find that the line was about the same, but decided to wait it out based on previous reviews. I did the Silver package (the cheapest of the interior/exterior washes). I won't be visiting SCW anytime soon and here's why: Don's Car Wash and Touch of Class in Smithown are wayyyyyy better and a tad bit less expensive than SCW. Even on busy Saturday mornings Dons and Touch of Class deliver a high quality cleaning. Totally worth the wait.....SCW not so much. Exterior was just OK. Maybe a 3.5. Interior was a total disaster....2 at best. Crumbs were everyone.....and I'm not talking about the hard to reach places. The windows in the interior were dirty. But worst than anything, my morning coffee spills were still in my cup holders. I'll stick to dons or touch of class even though SCW is much more convenient. Too bad :( read more

The car was is not the best ever, but good. I would complain about them being sneaky with a credit card service charge. I paid my $39 bill with a Visa, only to find out (without letting me know) that they charged me an additional $1.56. That's 4% charge. I would have paid cash, but it is not clear until after and you must ask for a receipt, because they won't tell you. I thought something was funny when she typed in the numbers after scanning my card, so I asked for a receipt. It appears that you will pay a percentage if you use a credit card, and not just for charges under $5...All Charges. Don't bother with using a 1% back card...You lose money with this carwash. There are other car washes around that do the same thing and they don't charge you extra for using a card. I won't go there again, out of principle, not because it will hurt them. read more

I found the owner to be pleasant, thoughtful and engaging. His team worked on my newer car, and on my1967 Mercedes that required special attention. In the end, he did a superb job and his prices were exceptionally fair. He did not keep jacking up the price, as others do, because my older car required special attention. I believe the Setauket Car Wash offers excellent service at fair prices, and that their owner is fair and honest. read more
