There is a kids playground area, a bench area, bathrooms, swings and musical area, basketball court, and baseball field. Lots of space, everything seems in good condition. I think my only complaint is about the bathrooms. They were mostly cleaned, but the soap dispensers all seemed broken and there were spitwads all over the ceiling. It's a bit of a trek for us but we will be back!!

While there we met nice people with friendly big dogs like ours who wanted to socialize. Nothing special about the dog park but there are two yards, poo bags, a dog water fountain, clean restrooms and good local crowds.

Zumwalt Park, on the South side of E. Tulare Ave between M St. and N St, was very quiet on a Sunday…read moreafternoon in February just past noon. There was one older man sitting on a bench enjoying the moderate weather, and another young man in his twenties rode his bike through the park, stopping at a fountain to refresh himself before riding on. There is plenty of grass beneath shady trees, though this time of year it is not at its greenest. There are cement walkways through the park which benches spaced along them at intervals for relaxing and enjoying the view. There are picnic tables scattered here and there around the glass, but no BBQ grills so you'll have to bring your own if you're planning a picnic. There is an octagonal pavilion on the Southern edge of the park that looks like the perfect place for summer concerts. Upon checking the website for the Tulare Parks and Recreation Department, it appears that they do hold a number of concerts in the park there each summer and even have family movie nights during which they project movies onto a 12' x 12' screen. It sounds like good wholesome fun! There are public restrooms which are very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap, but the paper towel machine was empty. There is a sign on the doors stating that due to vandalism the doors to the restrooms are only unlocked between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm daily. I saw no evidence of vandalism there, so maybe that's solved their problems. There is no play equipment for children, but Zumwalt is a very restful spot for adults to hang out and enjoy our California weather and it becomes a lot more active in the summer with planned activities. Valley animal center Vaccine clinic is in the same parking lot so it's pretty easy to do it all on one place. Our doggie Zoey has made so many friends here and the staff is so friendly. Clean restrooms for the parents and vending machines for drinks.

5 Stars A Dog Lover's Dream in Fresno!…read more Between the dogs I've had over the last 10 years, this park has been a part of our weekly routine--and it's hands-down one of the best decisions I've made for my pups! The park is about 1.5 acres and separated into large and small dog areas, which makes for a safe and stress-free environment. There's a small agility course to mix things up, plenty of shade for those sunny days, and a pool with beach entry that's a MUST for cooling off in the Fresno heat! It's membership-only ($20/month, month-to-month--super easy) and totally worth it. The park is gated and locked, and members receive a key card for secure access. It's always clean, well-maintained, and never overcrowded. There are restrooms on-site too, which is a nice bonus for us humans. Dogs need to be neutered (if over 6 months), pass a quick temperament test, and be up to date on vaccinations. There's also a minimum age requirement, so definitely check their website for the full vaccine list, age rules, and how to apply. This place has brought so much joy, exercise, and social time to all of my dogs over the years. If you're a Fresno dog parent, don't wait--join today!

I was told that they had to have RABIES VACCINE PROOF. THIS WAS NEVER STATED ON THE WEBSITE. This was a huge waste of my time as I drove from afar with three small children and three cats in carriers. I have recently fostered and adopted from here two months ago. The clinic needs to do better. IF PROOF OF RABIES VACCINE WAS REQUIRED, THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN POSTED ON WALK-IN CLINIC INFORMATION PAGE OR ANYWHERE. Also, I was told that I might not get seen because 10 puppies were just brought in. It's like they were looking for an excuse to turn me away. There's a walk-in clinic right up the street. I'll be taking my services there from here on out. Lastly, this is no way to treat your fosters and adopters let alone anyone!

We took are small dog because she was having trouble peeing. We paid for an ultrasound and urine…read moretest and the determined she has a UTI and prescribed antibiotics and sent us in our merry way. Fast forward a week and she's crying and struggling to go to the bathroom. We thought constipation. After a whole night of pain we called VAC and they said they had no appointments for follow up, it wasn't the antibiotics and to go to urgent care. We ended up at a different vet who first thing palpated her bladder and felt a mass. Then took a simple xray which showed 3 large bladder stones, one of which was blocking her from going pee. I'm no Dr, but wouldn't the original ultrasound from VAC show this? Wasn't that the point of the ultrasound? Even the 2nd vet was baffled that they didn't detect 3 cheese ball sized bladder stones via ultrasound, which I hear provides more detailed information than an X-ray. Anyway, I find that surprisingly incompetent. And even if they couldn't provide the necessary treatment (surgery), I would assume they would have spotted something so obvious and offered a treatment plan. Maybe they didn't even do the ultrasound? But they certainly billed for it. Anyway, boo on you VAC. Don't go here, they messed up big time.
