My family and I spent a day at the waterpark and I had a blast! I would recommend going as soon as the park opens which is 11am or even like 30min before because the line does get long to park and as well as the line to get inside! Park closes at 6pm, extended summer hours is 7pm. We went on a Tuesday and Tuesdays are the days they offer their deals. It's buy one get one free basically for $49.99 which I think it's a fair price since individual tickets are from I believe $30-$40. Parking is $5 and if you want to park upfront it's $10. We waited in line for almost an hour to get inside so be mindful if you have a lot of things to carry. Bring a cooler with wheels and a wagon! If you also have a baby stroller that is also allowed inside. The only thing they won't allow you to bring inside is anything glass, alcohol or knives so please precut your fruits and sandwiches beforehand. They do check coolers and bags upfront. We bought Costco pizzas, made pasta salad, charcuterie boards and other knick knack snacks for the kids as well to give you guys ideas on what to bring! Most of the time everyone's gonna be out swimming and on rides and not paying attention on eating lol If you have kids, please take them I recommend and apply sunscreen at all times! read more

Went to the Fresno Fright Night at the Island. I was not sure how it would be but I was down for the ride. We went through the first three mazes fairly quickly the first house we tried was a chemical plant. It was missing some actors in spots that really would have hit. I am a scare actor so I was kinda let down more people didn't jump at working this event or maybe could have had call offs or no shows. Either way the set designs were amazing! My fave being the pizza place with animatronics. I loved the kitchen and the ticket redeem counter sooo good! The sliders were good wish there were more. The other highlight of this event was the bayou boat ride! Yes ride I said that. The creative minds turned the lazy river into a swamp bayou. I loved it so much. The price for the entry was too high. $150.00 for three of us and there wasn't re-entry to mazes. Most haunts are cheaper so you can get more people wanting to come. Knott's scary farm is $60, if you have theme park prices there should be theme park type entertainment with scare actors photo ops with them and more scare zones. I decided with my summer to invest in the platinum season pass this summer. I saw the investment as the season pass had Free parking, Free entrance to the fireworks shows, and family nights. As well 15 15% off food and cabanas. I would say if you live within 15 minutes of the park, it is worth the investment. We have limited things to do here in Fresno. I think this is great for families and young adults. If you have the money, get a cabana. There are free tables for everyone, but people get there early to claim tables. The crowded table areas will be around the main entrance by the lazy river and the kids' area. The least crowded areas are by the wave pool and the slides. I want to say that it may be due to the lack of shade. But don't be afraid to get the edge of a table or half if there is space and no one is there. Usually it's my boyfriend and I, so we just eat, then swim. We have had one bad interaction where it was a lady and just her son trying to claim a whole table. We were on the edge, eating, and she was trying to lean her tube on the side where we were eating. I pushed it as it hit us. I nicely said she could move it to the poll. But be prepared to share and squeeze where you can. We had a great time overall, but the wait time isn't the greatest with the two most popular rides. I really wish they would add more rides, there is so much potential with the extra land they have. Overall, the staff here have been nice, and the lifeguards are doing great with the life jackets. I am truly shocked by how many parents let their 2 to 6-year-olds swim without it in the wave pool. I know some people get upset, but safety first! Overall, this is a great experience! Upon arrival, marijuana is a scene you will have to be accustomed with while attending. Lockers do not work. Point of sale and Credit systems were not working. They require cash for everything we needed, then those things did not work either. The danger to our son was the most important. At The Tsunami, they asked if there were any groups of two, people volunteered my son and his friend. They approached to discover two extraordinarily obese ladies already sitting beside each other. They sat our pre-teens across from them. When the ride slid down, the weight of the women hung our children off and over the side twice, to the point where our son and his friend agreed to jump off for their own safety. Quick fact: Just because there are friends on the ride does not omit the need to counterweight the patrons. Personally I love the Island Waterpark... We had lots of fun but there were so many people. With our platinum pass I think it will be better to go during the week. My son is 8 and still considered to be a little kid... I had to be practically next to him the whole time but it made it so hard with all the tubes and sooo many people there. I read that you are not allowed to take tents in or chairs and I seen quite a few tents as well as chair people brought. We are not too familiar with the park so we had a heck of a time looking for a good place to sit. We ended up sitting next to another family at the same table but it worked out okay at the end... TIP: They do not allow glass of any kind. Don't bring it; you'll either have to throw it away or take it back to your car! Anyway... I love Island but it is suuuuuper overpriced-- so we got the platinum card so we wouldn't have to pay the $40 per person each visit. It just seems like a better deal if you plan to come often. Parking is $5 if you don't have a membership card! CASH! As a safety precaution, tubes are no longer allowed in the wave pool. Purchasing a tube for I think $12 isn't really worth it if you're only going to use it for a couple slides and the lazy river. Lockers are $8. They're really easy to set up. Unlimited drinks are around $10 a person. You get a wristband so you can come back to the fountain drinks anytime and they'll give you a small cup. You can bring food in, or purchase it there! When you walk in, if you go to the right, past the lockers, there's a spot to buy pizza along with other things. If you forgot sandals, goggles, towels, whatever-- there's a small shop to the right of the entrance. They even have little plastic containers to protect your phone if you choose to bring it with you. I would say that the location is a bit sad; when you're on top of the slides looking down the park is surrounded by dead grass (their unused land) and on the other side, the freeway. SUMMARY: Here's a rough breakdown of what to expect if you go. Parking: (CASH) $5 Per Person: $40 (I believe they do have some deals if you come later in the day) Lockers: $8 (optional.. but recommended) Total: $53 for one person. $93 for two people. $133 for three people etc. (OPTIONAL) Two-person tube: $12 (optional of course, and you get a couple dollars back if you return it). Our first time here and it was 2 for Tuesday. That was a nice saving for my daughter and I. I was iffy with the reviews but decided to see for myself. We arrived at 10:30, there was a line already.Gates open at 11 AM. They do check bags and coolers. Didn't know what to expect but I know for sure once we got inside I needed to find a good spot to set up. So it's good to arrive early. The lifeguards were extremely nice. I didn't realize the kids / teenagers put beer in there for me , nice gesture for them to think of me when I said get a mix of drinks for everyone and snacks for ice chest . Haven't been to a water park ever since my high school days in Bay Area. That ended up being a traumatic experience . Much much better this time around . Some things really do improve with age lol. I'm all about safety and protection, but even with my limited durability I ended up having a fun good time. The music was very wholesome , really nice. There was a variety , I think there were some songs that weren't even in English so that was an interesting variety they had in the music . Sadly a friend of mine pressured me to get into a ride , where I ended up going down a tunnel. I somehow ended up getting bloody scrapes on top of my foot, right elbow, and left elbow. Never ever doing that again.. they didn't get injured but I did. The wave pool , tsunami , and lazy river were my favorite rides. If you don't want to encounter the waves, just do what I did. They had varying depths up to i think 7 foot. So I only went to like 4' depth and returned back to shore , when I felt the waves were returning. Regarding tsunami, we could ride on a provided raft and at the end we only got lightly splashed. Two thumbs up . Yeah i don't like getting wet generally, outside of a clean indoor bathroom . Anyway if you want a lot of control, are not durable, new or not too familiar with water parks , or dislike getting too wet - I highly recommend those three rides. Get ready to face some height at tsunami though ! In that case, bring at least one person who's experienced with that ride. A good start to the water park , is the wave pool to get yourself accustomed to water temperature . It a was on the cooler side so I guess It was around 60-65 degrees. Slowly get in and your body would get accustomed . the temperature was noticeably cooler at entry and exit points , compared to the center of the rides - not a big variation but noticeable and really nice. I'm not about to be staying in cold water the whole time that's why lol. read more

I normally take my kids to Wild Water Adventure, but had a little issue with their online payment system this summer, so I decided to try out a new location.. This landed us at Island Waterpark, and I sure am glad it did! Just like any waterpark or amusement park, it can get pricey pretty quickly, but they do have many options that can help reduce costs and keep it affordable. For example, come during the week! They have half price Wednesdays which really helped out the wallet! Plus, they let you bring your own ice chest, food, and drinks! They do NOT allow you to bring in glass or alcohol (Be sure to check their FAQ section on their website to make sure you are only bringing in items they allow!) The park offers covered cabanas for a fee, but -if you get there early enough - there are many covered tables that are free to use for the day! They did fill up fast and people were not quick to leave, so don't rely on this option unless you can get there at opening to snag a spot.. This park has a relaxing lazy river, a wave pool, a kiddie section for the littles, and several large slides and attractions for the big kids and kids at heart! You can rent an innertube for the lazy river, but you are not allowed to bring in your own floatation devices. They also have a little restaurant window, ice cream and funnel cakes, and even a bar! It does get pricey quickly, but they offer lots of fun little treats for a hot day. My biggest complaint with the park as a whole was that the lifeguards were just incredibly pushy.. They were blowing their whistles all day in the kiddie pool! Plus, my daughter is 3 years old and can keep herself above water just fine, but the lifeguards wouldn't let her in the wave pool without a life vest, which really limited her range of motion and made her panic, so we had to get out. (Plus side of this, I should mention for fairness- the life vests are free and readily available to all). Parking was $5, and all spots were relatively close to the park entrance, so I wouldn't recommend upgrading to premium parking.. I will be back next summer, because the pros definitely outweigh the cons! read more

I went with my family and friends. We are all over 55. I had purchased our tickets and rented a cabana online ahead of time so that made check in quicker. They had a worker take us to our cabana and she even helped carry our tube rentals. We were only interested in the lazy river so that's all we did. Unfortunately, they shut down the river 3 times. I don't know if they do that every time but they should make it part of their policy so that everyone knows. The lifeguards put up with a lot of people and some of them expect pushback so a couple of them are a little cranky. My advice: just listen to them and do what you're told. Overall: the park well-organized, clean, and not cheap. But it is worth it paying extra to get those perks. read more

Last minute we decided to take the kids to the island on 7-24-23. We arrived right after 3pm so they have a deal that general admission is $25.00 each unless kids are 2 years or younger. They allow outside food and drinks...just no alcohol or flammable bbq grills. All the cabanas were already taken and looked like fun. We got a table under the tarp, it was okay just the sun was radiating through. Kids had a really nice time. I purchased a 24 oz draft beer for $14.00 which was on the pricier side but sure did hit the spot. Next time around I would rent a cabana and take a lot more snacks. Definitely recommend ! read more

We rented a cabana for 8/3/24, spent $369 for a big cabana for our extended family. Unfortunately, their pumps weren't working and they didn't open the park. The customer service lady called me and said they don't approve refunds, but they can give me a gift card in the amount of my purchase. I said that's fine, because we're going to book a smaller cabana in the near future. I just received the gift card, and back of the card it says it's only for food purchases admission and merchandise. So I called the park and spoke with a lady and I was told that you cannot use the gift card to book a cabana. She even spoke with her supervisor to confirm this is accurate information, and the supervisor did indeed confirm this is true. The only way I can use the gift card to book a cabana is if I do it in person the day of my visit. Which wouldn't be a problem except the fact that cabanas are usually all booked before you even get there. So now I have a gift card of $369 that I can't Even use on what it was intended for, booking a cabana. I wouldn't recommend this place! If it wasn't for the gift card I wouldn't even be going back. Once I've used the whole gift card, I will be going to a different water park, from there on out. I'm absolutely pissed! Because their pumps were malfunctioning and weren't able to filter out the water, they weren't allowing people to go on which I totally understand. However they should give refunds on Cabana rentals if the gift cards can't be used to reserve a cabana ahead of time, when the reservation has to be canceled due to the park shutting down. Don't waste your money! The park has special rules and regulations where they don't have to refund you, and the money that you do have you can't even use it for a cabana rental if that's what it was originally intended for. read more

We received a discount thanks to my cousins active duty military but still. Kids should be $15 adults max $25. We would go a lot more if that was the case. I really want to give thanks to a lifeguard that found my phone. Me and my cousin were in the water when I did a handstand underwater . It just so happened that it dropped when I did it. Me and my cousin then left to our spot realizing I didn't have my phone. The waves were abt to happen. I went to the lifeguard and asked " Could you please stop the waves? I dropped my phone" he said "Is this your phone?" And showed me my phone. I really want to thank him. He had green and blue sports glasses and was first life guard to the left in the wave pool, and he worked from the hours from 3:00-7:00. I didn't get his name. If you do go on the discounted price make sure that you come early cuz the line gets really long. You do have to pay for parking BUT you can bring your OWN food and drinks!! No alcohol. You can reserve cabanas or just get there early to find good seating and there so much! Different parts of the park have seating. There's like 10 eateries slides and two on them have tubes which are so much fun! They have a kiddie section where the kids will enjoy they have the wave pool which is a lot of fun and they have a lazy river which is one of my favorites. They do serve food but just bring your own. We had tried the pizza and ice cream and it was good. They have a shop that sells anything you might have forget. Been here twice, both times I was fortunate to have my girlfriend or her friends purchased a returning ticket for $12 for us.. regular price is $34 think? During this visits we brought along our hubbies and need less to say the wives ideas about spending a Sunday cheaply was out the door. Now mind you the wives made food from home/ drinks and fruits and snacks in a cooler . So once the 3 hubbies saw a cabana they decided to set claim. Not knowing it's going to costs us some pretty pennies. So with us wives trying to persuade them other wise to let's go find a free table and chairs under some shade . Nope!!! $265 dollars later the premium cabana ;( rental for all day. With 2 recliners , 4 chairs and a table .. and a waitress stopping by often with a menu to see if we like to order food and will deliver. Of course cabana rentals varies in size and prices and placed in different locations. I recall the least expensive canopy/ cabana is $65 a day( don't quote me on that) The most expensive was ours $265 .. Double tube rentals $12, at the end of the day can return for $2 back or ice popsicles. Can bring inside the water park your own food/ drinks and a cooler. Just no sharp objects, glasses or knives etc. There are plenty of cafeteria style tables/ benches available under a net for some shade. Or peruse around to find one under a shade tree . Overall kids had a great time . We moved here in 2015 from San Diego and one big reason we picked our house was based on its location to The Island Waterpark and the affordable prices they were offering. We had season passes for my wife and I and our two kids from the summer of 2015 until summer of 2021. We were there daily for many weeks at a time. We bought food, drinks, and rented tubes frequently. The park got better every year 2015-2019 then in 2020, the prices started getting dumb. The season pass prices went way up and weren't sold at Costco anymore and they stopped giving discounts for season pass holders and the food prices got out of hand. This year they are on par with Disneyland and Magic Mt with food and there have been no noticeable changes to anything but the now over-priced cabanas. And this year- no more splash back passes! Wow guys. Awesome job. It's a bummer. They seem to be getting too big for their britches and a lot of the people in this mostly middle class town are now unable to afford to take their families. Ourselves and many of our friends opted out of season passes because the price is just too much now. And by looking at the attendance while I drive by, so did a lot of other people. It's really hot and the park is near empty! You guys need to fire the person in charge of that and bring the prices back down so families can come back on the season passes! You are not a destination water park- you're a community water park. You can make a lot more money by having more people IN the park. DO NOT BUY THE SEASON PASS. THE MANAGERS ARE IGNORANT LIARS AND SCAMMERS. THEY'RE RUDE AND HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'D GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF I COULD. My family purchased 7 season passes that cost a total of $700 IN PERSON at their admission booth. I made sure to call ahead as well as email them to get a full copy of the terms and conditions & perks that come with the season pass before buying it because this information could not be seen on their website or their instagram/Facebook account. We were given a flier that stated we get Unlimited enterance including July 4th, 1 FREE buddy pass MON-THUR, two 50% off buddy pass TUES only, retail/food/drinks 25% off not including dippin dots. The first time we used the season pass was Tuesday, June 13th, more than 2 weeks after their opening day. We used 1 Free buddy pass as well as four 50% ticket. My cousin purchased a swimsuit from the gift shop and tried giving the cashier our season pas for the 25% discount & she said that they don't accept the season pass. The same thing happened when she bought funnel cake. I wasn't present during either transaction so I wasn't able to speak up for her. When I bought my own funnel cake, the cashiers couldn't figure out how to scan the season pass to give me the discount. The other attend told the cashier "well if you can't scan it, then we can't give her the discount." I showed the cashier the flier and waited for her to figure out how to scan it or I told her to go get a manager. She eventually figured it out. At the end of the day, we went to the info booth/admission booth to complain/inquire about the discounts. The manager, a lady named Fran was telling us how this is the first year Island Waterpark has included perks to their season pass and many employees aren't aware of the new discounts. That seems like horrible customer service if they aren't properly training their employees. So Fran asks if we bought the passes online or in person because she said the discounts hasn't been activated on 3 out of 7 of our passes. We bought these in person at the admission booth. They messed up big time So to make up for their mistakes, she scanned all the passes to "add the discounts in". In her words, she said "I've added the discounts so now all these cards should work when purchasing food, drinks, anything at our gift shop as well as redeeming the 1 free buddy pass, two 50% off buddy passes and you're all set." Keep in mind we've already used up 1 free ticket and four 50% off buddy pass. The second day we've used our season pass was on a Saturday June 17th. Keep in mind that 1 Free Tickets & 50% off buddy passes are not valid on Fri-Sun. The next day we return is Wednesday, June 28. It's my sisters birthday and we still have 6/7 Free entrance tickets. When trying to redeem these 6 free entry tickets the manager, Alexis, is being rude to my mother while also telling her we've used up all of our free tickets?? Which is impossible because we've only used ONE free ticket. And when my mom tried showing her the receipts for the four 50% off ticket she bought previously, Alexis was waving her off and not even looking. My mother was asking her if there's any proof in the computer that we've redeemed those free tickets with the date stamp. Alexis could not provide us with any proof other than the words out of her mouth. It was just a glitch in their system because there's no way we could have used those other 6 free tickets if we have the receipts for the 50% off buddy passes we BOUGHT on a Tuesday & the second day we came, it was a Saturday (free/discounted tickets are not valid). Where did our money go if we "redeemed our free passes" My mom was asking Alexis to let her speak to Fran because they've spoken before and she was the one who scanned ALL of our passes to "add in our discounts". She saw Fran in the back of the office and when they made eye contact while my mom tried to call her over, she just turned around and left! After about 15 minutes of frustration, my mom decided to just pay for the extra tickets and leave instead of wasting her time speaking to an airhead of a manager who was too rude to hear my mom out considering it was my sisters birthday and she didn't want to make a scene on her special day so we took the high road and just paid. Moral of the story, don't buy season passes from Island Waterpark because the managers are liars and scammers. We will not be buying a season pass in 2024+ read more

This was the first time taking the whole family here. We got there before they opened and left at closing. Not only did the kids live it, but so did us adults! Pros: even on a holiday weekend, the majority if the lines were relatively short. There is a great variety of attractions which kept everyone happy. It certainly was a bonus that we could sip a beer and watch the kids play! Cons: the main issue was raft/tube management. For starters, the family raft attraction only had a rotation of 4 rafts available. I counted them 3x during the day. This led to very long lines. As such, we only did this once. Also, the other tube rides did not have enough single tubes. Since riders were not required to pass on their tube to whoever was waiting, it led to long wait times for some, while others got to go time and time again. I would certainly recommend a policy where riders go once, pass on their tube, then wait for the next available. All in all it was a fantastic experience and we're already excited to go next year!! read more

If I could give a negative I would. I went on July 6 2024 and they kicked us out without a refund. Since we got to the park everything was not work then they just kicked us out. They said that we could return but what guarantee no tickets no email no nothing. I emailed them and have not got a reply. I called them and they said they don't have time to respond to every email.
