This place was adorable, packed with so much for young kids to touch, see, experience, play with and play on and we were able to get through and do most of it. They loved the tree, the camp site, the plane, the kitchen, the waterfall area, the bunk beds, the fish, and fishing simulation, the driving simulations, this was a magical place for them. Since we had limited time and a big group, I did not get a chance to try the driving experiences, but it is only $5 admission. The only thing I wish they would have as a parent, and maybe this feasible for them would be to have a cafeteria where they actually sold food and drinks. You have to bring your own food and if you have a water bottle, they put it away for you since nothing is allowed on the attractions.

I thank my Yelp Bestie for an annual membership pass that she won for two people. I am truly grateful. This was a prime time to turn lemons into lemonade! We decided to check out the DaVinci special exhibition, shop the Museum Store and have lunch at the Plum Market Kitchen, too. The DaVinci exhibit was amazing. I had no idea of how many inventions Leonardo DaVinci made. I was only familiar with the Mona Lisa painting and the Safety Bridge. The Room of Mirrors was pretty cool. They have actual human bones and skulls, coffins, and lots of mortuary tools from different time periods. He was very knowledgeable and personable. The museum is beautiful, free for general admission to Genesee county residents- non residents so pay a small admission fee.. special attractions and installations do have a separate entry fee even for local residents, but the mini g displays are really lovely so it's worth it.. before the renovation I toured the Titanic display several years ago and it was brilliant!! They've put in new displays and cultural features and kept the old charm, too.. Lots of stuff for families particularly for children.. if you like local history, this charming museum is it! They have a nice gift shop and a Coffee Beanery and free wifi, too.. Centrally located in the heart of the city's cultural center so it's close to other local tourism spots and highlights like Whiting, FIA, the library, Flint Institute of Music, Buick Gallery, Flint Youth Theatre, Applewood and Longway Planetarium, and Whaley .
