I took him there on Feb. 7 for them to do a routine neuter operation. 3 days later he was dead. I began getting concerned the evening of Feb 8 because he was vomiting and wasn't making urine. He would want to go out and would strain and push but nothing was coming out. After taking him back to my vet on the 9th and getting no relief, we headed down to a specialist in Towson, MD who did an exploratory surgery. You can read his findings within the attached letter, but basically his urinary system had been sutured closed in 2 places, had a hole in the neck of his bladder and unrepairable tissue damage. To add insult to injury, the testicle, that was the point of the initial procedure, had been left inside him. So I guess she removed something else? I don't know. The surgeon in Towson said he couldn't locate the prostate and the urethra wasn't located where it was supposed to be. I want to complement the specialist in Towson, however, because he and the entire facility and staff couldn't have been more considerate and professional. It was startling to contrast them against the incompetence and apathy I received from my vet at VCA. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH YOUR FRIENDS. I made it public on purpose. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the pain and loss Oze and I have had to endure. This is just the beginning of my campaign to make sure that everyone possible hears our story.

They somehow messed the paperwork up and linked the two charts together and when I tried to get it straightened out, they told me they could not do anything until they get "permission" from the ex-wife, as she is the primary person on the chart. The ex wife has never even met my puppy, nor myself. The office had no problem doing office visits and accepting payments without a phone call to the ex-wife over the past however long from my boyfriend or myself when we bring the older dog in but now we can't make an appointment for our puppy without having to talk to the ex-wife first. When I told them OK then I will cancel my appointment and take her somewhere else, they had no issue with losing a customer. In fact they were pretty rude when hanging up. You definitely won't catch me bringing either dog back into this office.

First words out of her mouth were, "WHAT are you here for?" You and I both know that a receptionists first phrase should have "hello" and "help you" in it. Not to mention the gentleman behind rolling his eyes with me at her. Then his eyes got as big as plates because of what she did. Your receptionist and another lady came to make excuses and blame comcast for them not answering calls while I was sitting in your parking lot. The two of them came back out again to tell me that Rick was not coming out. My reply was, "who is Rick, I didn't have a appointment with Rick, I have an appointment with the owner." Your receptionist replied," Ohh, dr Dan is not here today." Great, your receptionist who made the appointment(5/7/25@11:37a) with you is now telling me you are not here. My reply after all of that was, "well, you better find someone who is." I next watched your manager, front manager who came out to tell me that she can make an appointment with you and that she, "isn't a doctor." I said, "that's obvious, you're not wearing the right clothes." She then defended bad actions and doesn't want me harassing her receptionist. My reply, "You go ahead and make that appointment and I'll contact him(you) about this." The front manager then said she knows the truth about comcast and I'm the one lying. I laughed at her, "so you know that Daniel wanted a place to park in the shade so he bought the building next door." The building next door that comcast, back when comcast was a phone company that covered Dover, signed a deal with the ower of that building so comcast can't be kicked out of Dover. To all the doubters out there. I can say it because I was there. I watched Daniel park in the shade by the building and asked if he wasn't worried about getting towed. He replied, no, I'm not! For you to not be worried then you'd have to own it..... He got a smile from ear to ear. That is when their(Dover Area Animal Hospital) phone problems started, and have continued for over two decades! They knew it would be a problem and did it anyway. Their excuses are exactly that, excuses. I see you and only you, outside, because of those two and there constant problem causing. Maybe David, in a pinch. When I'm at Sunday's I hear good things about David and you. Your receptionists and their manager, people have a lot to say about them. I don't care if it's a woman or a man or something in between, as long as they do their job correctly. I miss your mother being there. This would never have happened. Our first experience with the company was in the early 80's, for our goats. David and you have a great reputation around here. The level of expertise shown for the exotic community which includes rabbits, snakes, other reptiles, birds and guinea pigs is outstanding. The logistics were a bit odd because I live out of state (but was coming back to ensure I was there) and we were having him euthanized at my parents' home. Dr. Mary came out, explained the process, was patient and gave me all the time I needed. It was far more peaceful than I expected, and both she and the gentleman who did the transport were immensely kind and gentle with my sweet boy. I have nothing but great things to say about the service and compassion given by Peaceful Pet Passage. I feel lucky to have found folks who helped me give Brody this last kindness.
