Today I made a field trip to centerville, oh to this shop. They sell Bernina sewing machines. I lost my button hole attachment. There is a confusion with my model number. I was a dedicated patron for a couple of years. Took my sewing machine in for maintenance, (thread knotting up in one place preventing the machine from advancing the fabric). I was charged $125.00. They also charged me another $10.00 for a new thread cutter, (which I did not ask for). When I asked what was the problem with the machine, I was told "nothing". I asked her, "so I paid $135.00 for maintenance on a machine that had nothing wrong with it)? The sales clerk responded with a blank stare, and remained speechless. I recently asked if Sew-A-Lot would consider carrying a fabric that l had only seen in photos. The owner used a small paper to write down my request so l had my doubts. Well, in less than a week, the store called and they had the fabric in and even had it in five different colors. I was really happy! I also think they are great about answering my questions about my sewing machine. My machine likes to jam up in the middle of a big project, and l can always count on them to help me.
