Our class did cover the required curriculum but it was also educational in the reasons why NOT to shoot and how to carry defensively. A lot of technical information was covered during our eight hours, including the required practical shooting at the range (Mecklenburg Wildlife Club, not terribly far away). Dan's class is well organized and had plenty of interaction from the other students. Lots of "what if?" questions were answered in detail. For the class I took at Hyatt, there is a brief break for lunch. Try the Burger King across the street. You'll get a coupon for a discount on purchases at Hyatt.
