She won't return emails or phone calls and when/if you do finally get a hold of her she lies to you and says she will speak to her accountant and get the money back to you (no money received) or that she sent the check in the mail (again no mail received). Their Concord location shut down because the entire staff quit and instead of informing parents of staff quitting, she had parents all show up to drop their kids off and walk up to a locked empty school. After speaking to the teachers, they quit because they weren't being paid by her!!!! So not only was she taking money from families, she wasn't paying her staff!!! She is a horrible person and someone I would never trust my child with. We paid for curriculum books and my child never received anything. She runs it like a daycare instead of an actual school. They have a large communal library where members can borrow books to research a particular opening or tactic. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Peter, the owner patiently talks students through game analysis and makes sure to answer every students questions. They offer a discount for visitors, and members have access to free open play, weekly rated games, and access to periodic guest lectures. There is ample parking available.
