When we started our home-based business in 2002, PC & MacHelp Center (Greensboro) set up our…read morenetwork system including our server and all software, etc. This has all been reconfigured a few times since 2002 by PC & MacHelp Center. We were encouraged by the IT person to set up our own .com e-mail addresses and run them through our own server and switch from Earthlink, which we did. He walked us through that process and set everything up. He required us to have 5 Static IP addresses through our internet provider. He recommended using a Mac Mini for our server, and at that time he installed Kerio on the server. He is the ONLY person who understands the set-up he recommended and installed. In 2024, he abruptly ended his service to our home-based business with no indication as to why. I contacted him for help, and he ignored me. He ignored our pleas to help us transition to a set-up someone else understands. We've called in a couple of other IT people who have absolutely NO idea how he has things set up. NO ONE understands Kerio, but if we don't renew it every year through a company in Durham we have no access to our business e-mails. The company in Durham admitted they don't even understand Kerio. They just sell licenses. Our entire livelihood runs off the conglomeration of hardware and software PC & MacHelp Center set up, and the Greensboro IT person decided he wasn't going to help us anymore apparently because we are a home based business, and he was doing us a favor. I didn't realize that PC MacHelp Center didn't help home based businesses since he jumped at the chance to help us from the time we started our business until 2024. He should have said that from the beginning and allowed us to work with someone who does help home based businesses. We've paid ALL of our invoices upon receipt. His decision to leave us stranded was out of the clear blue. All we need from PC & MacHelp Center is to get out of what they set up for our business and help us transition to another IT company, but they don't care. I do NOT recommend them at all!

Still in great cosmetic and operating condition, I noticed that the touchpad was starting to raise and the mouse click options were slowly no longer working consistently. Until finally, they stopped working altogether. In calling HP support, they did not have a local tech office and were going to send me a shipping box to send pack up my laptop and send off to them for repairs with an expected turnaround time of 3 weeks. Given that I work for myself and this laptop is my livelihood, that was not an option. After doing some searching around and reading reviews, I called Trox Tech and explained what the issue with my laptop was. They identified it right on the phone and it matched up to what I found on google to be the issue, essentially, as the battery gets old, it overheats and expands. Since the batter is mounted under the touchpad it begins to interfere with the function of the touchpad. Trox Tech ordered the parts (without me requiring to pay for the parts in advance) and called me when they came in. I drove down to drop off my laptop (although they offered to pick it up and deliver back to me) and they had it fixed and ready within 3 hours. Fixed and repaired in 3 hours, not 3 weeks, and for $100 less than what Hewlet Packard Support was going to charge me!!! The location is a bit of a trek from Charlotte, but well worth the drive. Yet, they do offer pickup and delivery... so take them up on that. They're very professional and friendly, nicely setup inside, and more than reasonable for the repair.

They lie, cut corners, treat employees like crap. Have seen the owner degrade every employee there--and customers too. I dont know why anyone would trust them to handle their IT needs.. I wouldn't trust them with a thumb drive. Their solution to everything : Turn it off and back on. Lazy, incompetent and untrustworthy.

I have an old MacBook Pro laptop with a battery that was fast depleting, and a fan blower that was…read morein dire need of cleaning. Though I thought it might be time to buy a new computer altogether, decided to put it off for another year or so (since Apple store hours and services were limited at this time). Instead, I just bought a new compatible battery (thru Amazon) that could be replaced by Apple, or an Apple-authorized repair shop. After googling some reviews online, decided to call this repair shop. I was able to speak with Nick right away, and he made the whole process seem so easy and hassle-free...and said that they can usually do it within the same day. He also gave me a quote for the repairs. Not only friendly, but very helpful! Although I happened to visit the shop on a busy Wednesday afternoon, Nick managed to get my laptop battery replaced and the fan blower (?) cleaned within a few hours. He was even willing to work past their store hours to get it completed if necessary! Whew...I was SO relieved to hear that, as I would have hated to leave my personal laptop with them overnight. Not only was this process hassle-free and expedient, it costed under 100 bucks!! By now, I've tested my new battery strength, and it has improved tremendously. Also, the fan blower isn't as loud (almost scary). So overall, am very satisfied with the service and repairs...and I would highly recommend this place for anyone with any PC issues!
