I came to this shopping area for this shop, and enjoyed browsing around. It's a big shop and has a large variety of jewelry and Native American art pieces. Also a surprising number of taxidermy rattlesnakes. I was looking for a gift for a friend, and the one thing I didn't find here were any prices that felt like bargains. All the pieces I liked were out of my price range, but the quality did look really nice, and I can't fault them for that. It also seems like a pretty artsy, boutique-y area here, and I wondered how much that impacted pricing. The shop is clean and well organized. Staff seemed friendly and approachable. Being a fan of Native American jewelry, I absolutely loved this store. Everything there is high quality, made with careful craftsmanship and absolutely beautiful. The prices there reflect a wide range of work and materials used. The prices range from a $6 woven bracelet to high quality precious stone jewelry and decorations in the hundreds. I spent $30 for these earrings and get tons of compliments on them. I'm definitely coming back and buying more. One thing I will say is that this is not a shop you want to bring little kids because there's a lot of shiny breakable stuff they'll want to get their hands on. read more

This is the cutest old fashioned family owned business. One side of the store has Arizona related souvenirs. You can find t-shirts, shot glasses, local foods and crafts. The other side of the store has high end native jewelry and relics. Everyone there is so helpful! Would recommend it. read more

I casually browsed similar stores in the immediate area--I was in Scottsdale for work and did not have a car and it was 110 degrees out so I wasn't walking more than a mile or so in any direction. And while I found other shops to be either too expensive or too cheap (cheap as in poorly-made) I ended up purchasing something at Sewell's, as it had the best combination of quality and price. It was the momma bear of Scottsdale jewelry shops, if you will (this is a Goldilocks metaphor.) Also the salesman working at the time--I did not get his name, sadly--could not have been more kind, patient, and helpful. And he was pushy in no way. I would 100% recommend walking at a mile in unreasonably hot weather to check out this shop. You will purchase something here. And you will love it. read more

Customer service is an A++. Lacking ever-so-slightly, however, in the quality department. The boyfriend and I hit up Scottsdale in search of Native American matching inlaid rings. We had travelled to Canyon de Chelly and Tucson without finding rings that we truly fell in love with. Most places had a limited selection and none had rings that matched for male and female. Sewell's was a god-send. Their selection of sterling silver jewelry was impressive and their ring selection was just as expansive. We were treated like honored guests by the staff. They let us browse without any pressure and happily pulled out box after box of rings. We found a ring that both of us liked: a sterling silver band with serpentine inlay. My preference was for the light serpentine, while Jamie preferred the "Navajo Willow" pattern of dark and light serpentine. They offered, without hesitation, to special-order the matching ring for Jamie while I purchased mine today. There was no added-charge for the special order and they gave us a smoking deal for buying the two together; I remember that there was a 20% jewelry sale (which seems to be a perpetual sale, quite a deal), but they also gave us a discount from that. About 1 week after purchasing my ring, which I wore every day, but took off while showering and doing dishes, I noticed discoloration on my ring finger. Taking off the new sterling silver ring, I noticed that there was some oxidation around the edge of the band and on the inside of the band. I immediately called Sewell's back to discuss it. They happily obliged to evaluate the ring, if I mailed it back to them (I live out of town and bringing it in was out of the question). I did so, and they told me all it needed was a little polishing. I've never had that issue with any of my other sterling silver ring (disoloration or oxidation), but I love this ring so much, that I couldn't bear to just trade it in for something different. My boyfriend received his in the mail (he lives out of state) sometime later and is very happy with his ring as well. He also experience small spots of oxidation on his ring, but again, nothing that would discourage him (or I) from wearing it. Altogether, a great business for buying sterling silver and Native American jewelry. The customer service is legendary and unmatchable by any other jeweller I've been to. read more

I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this store. Not only does this family-owned business have a ton of wonderful jewelry (and even a whole section of gifts/souvenirs), but there is just a gentle kindness that resides here. The family member who I met today was Sadeem, and what a wonderful person. This is definitely an honest and caring business and as a first time visitor to Scottsdale, it has been a highlight. I will always stop here and support this business if I ever come back to the area. If you are in the downtown area, this store is a must. Especially in these times of stress, it is very nice to encounter businesses who value customers above all else. And they even size rings with very short turn around. I ended up lucking out and finding an inlay Richard Begay ring that actually fit my finger which is rare. So I will treasure it as well as a beautiful Raku heart stone that says "I Am Courage" on the back. I had just read something very profound the day before about courage and I happened to pick up the rock which happened to have that saying. So yes, there's magic here if you're open to it. read more
