To her horror (yes, I will say horror as it was five days before the big day), her initial gown was a disaster. They were supposed to make a sweetheart line and bring in the dress to fit her very small frame. Needless to say, the neckline was clearly not even and the dress hung off her. To top it off, the store said they could not alter her dress again in time for her wedding that Saturday. While that is a separate issue... she realized the only option was to quickly search for an inexpensive gown elsewhere. It was a Monday that she walked into Seams Sew Fine (an emotional mess) and fell in love with the staff and a gorgeous strapless champagne colored dress. When I went with her on Thursday to pick up the dress it fit like a glove, the bride was glowing and the entire room teared up. She literally went from tears of horror to tears of joy just a few days before her wedding, something NO bride she ever have to experience. The staff at Seams Sew Fine didn't just save the day, they saved the wedding. The team made dramatic alterations to the dress (it was a 12, she was a 6) in just days. Not only did family and friends notice their dedication to make this dress work in a crunch, but we noted they did it with a smile and phenomenal customer service... because they knew how important it was to help a bride and ensure she felt beautiful... even though they had only known her for a matter of days. Fast forward to Saturday, the wedding day, and I can only describe the bride as an angel. When she walked down the aisle and later talked with her 250+ guests, everyone commented on her natural glow and how stunning she looked. I can't imagine what we would have done without SSF. Apparently the policy of the store when speaking to the store owner is that the Tux must be returned to the store the following day of prom (Sunday) or returned to the high school on Monday. Our son returned the Tux on Monday in person at the store. He was charged $40 for this. When speaking with the store owner (Kathy) she said "I'm sorry that your son is not able to read" and was quite rude and not willing to work with us at all. How rude is it to insult someones child when receiving a customer complaint? Especially when the parents are asking them to be understanding since the Tux was still returned the same day the high school students returned their clothes to the school. It is crazy how important $40 is to a store and their willingness to loose a client instead of providing good customer service and be more understanding of high school age students not fully understanding what all the policies are. If I were you, I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This is not a matter of $40 as much as it about poor customer service and the principles of the owner.

After picking up my dress to begin alterations we noticed a stain that was not there when the dress was bought. The dress was bought in LaCrosse but when the Eau Claire location was closer they took the dress in and cleaned it better than it looked before. They gave me a handwritten apology for the inconvenience and thanking for trusting them to make it right and be a part of my day. They even went so far as to give a gas card for our extra drive time.
