She was a bit prickly and indignant, saying she has done all manner of complicated sewing on bridal gowns for over 30 years, and "OF COURSE" she could do this! After she had had my fabric, etc. for OVER 6 MONTHS, and I had not heard from her, we called her. She only then said to come in for a fitting of a muslin 'mock up', setting the appointment for a week or two later. She did some pinning to the mock up at that time, complaining a bit about the complexity of the pattern directions. I again asked her if she could do this or not, and she INSISTED she could. Again, we never heard from her, and again we called after close to a YEAR went by! She had us come in again, and this time my husband went too. The muslin pattern she had made had not been touched, and she had not even started to make the actual jacket! IT WAS NOW A YEAR AND A HALF SINCE WE HAD GIVEN HER A DEPOSIT, AND THE FABRIC, THREAD, PATTERN, ETC.! In this time she of course worked for many other customers who came to her long after I did! Now, it is July of 2012. Brenda has had my fabric etc. FOR TWO YEARS! We have NEVER heard from her since we were there at our initiation about 6 months ago! I need my outfit. Enough is enough. I have a small business as well, and I have NEVER treated customers this way! In the two years this lady has had our fabric, and agreed to make the jacket, SHE HAS NEVER ONCE CALLED US; WE HAVE HAD TO CONTACT HER! Today, July 24, my husband went to her shop to pick up my pattern and fabric, telling her she could just keep the deposit. Now, we are back to square one, and must find someone else to make the jacket we thought we would have two years ago! We feel that all of this was just so unnecessary, and could and should have never happened. We are very disappointed in this woman's unprofessional and uncaring attitude, and we regretfully cannot recommend her to ANYONE. Save yourself a lot of grief and stress and go elsewhere.

Before my car when in, he was just finishing a Mustang and as I was picking us my car, he had started work on an old Mercedes SL. If you've ever wondered where you go to get a convertible top replaced, Gagnon's is the place. Next year I'll have to work on making the rest of the car look as good as the top! Quick update (10/21/16): The new top is great, no leaks and no problems. The only thing I didn't realize was that in the beginning, I'd have to gently help the plastic window to learn how to fold and I might have gotten it off to a bad start if I had known that. But it's late October in Maine so the top probably isn't coming down until next spring and I'll work on it then. I still love it.
