Friendly staff, fresh chips and salsa, and a variety of bowls, tacos, burritos, and more. They have a bar, neatly designed dining room, and an outdoor patio. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we ate our lunch outside. I ordered the California Burrito, a vegetarian option, that was filled with many sautéed veggies including broccoli and squash. I really enjoyed my burrito because it has a lot of flavor, cheesy, and I liked the tomatillo sauce that was on top. I know I will be returning back soon. read more

On August 9, 2026 we decided to try this Senior Ponchos. So glad we did. We split the dinner portion of a combo fajita plate (they only do dinner portions on Sunday). Asked for a side of lettuce and cheese. It arrived sizzling hot, and the portion size could easily have fed three adults.. The meat while being fork tender needed more spices as was pretty bland. How cute is the entry way at this restaurant!? We started with the chips and salsa and some margaritas. There is a weekday happy hour with drink and food specials. There is also a full menu. We were to excited to eat, so we forgot pictures. However, I had the grilled chicken quesadilla and my guest had the chicken al pastor tacos. The food and flavors never disappoint at Panchos. The manager is shameless. We proved the food was spoiled. His reply: "If you think that way, nothing I can do." Then he faked a refund--just for show. Meanwhile, I ended up suffering days of stomach pain and week long of swollen lymph nodes--an infection I never asked for, while juggling important things. But in his small, shallow mind, he truly believes we're putting on all this act to score "free food", dismissing us with that 'people like you' disgust. This place is really close and we've eaten there or have gotten take out from time to time over the years. It's always been okay but not always our top choice for Mexican. I wonder if they have a new cook because the last few times we noticed the food has gotten much better...both the taste and the presentation. It was a nice day so we ate outside as they have a pretty patio which is fairly large. I had carnitas tacos and my husband had carne asada tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. Service was great. This is a must go to place. Bring a date enjoy Mexican food under the backyard romantic lights. There is backyard games, plenty of seating, and some tranquility. Indoors you are welcomed to plenty of tables to sit for a large party. The decor is very nice and has child seats for the little ones. The bar is great to watch some sports while enjoying some margaritas which are made perfectly. The food is super delicious and plentiful. I would recommend the rice bowls but it's hard to say no to the other food. So that just means to you need to come back for more. Did I mention they have Chimichangas!? That had me sold of course. May have been the best I have had this year. We ordered cheese dip, empañadas, bean and plantain street tacos and the enchiladas bandera. All very good. The mole sauce was fantastic! Didn't get 5 stars because the service was a bit underwhelming. Great service for me means my drink and chips stay full, good service is when I am asked if I'd like a refill. One of my friends raves about this place, and I now understand why! It's a wonderful restaurant!! Senor Panchos has a huge outdoor dining area, as well as a nice interior. My husband and I received prompt and friendly service from the moment we arrived. We dined outside, and the atmosphere was lovely. We enjoyed the chips and salsa, as well as some guacamole and frozen passion fruit margaritas. For entrees, we had the blackened chicken rice bowl and the chef's combo. Every single dish we ate was delicious! The blackened chicken was some of the best I've had. We had 2 rounds of margaritas, and they were fabulous as well. I go in on a Saturday night and it is not busy. I placed a to go order. All I got were some chicken nachos and 2 chimichanga orders. Lets start witht he nachos. We asked for guac on the side and they threw it on top. We asked for chicken and sour cream and they didnt give us any of that. The chimichang were the big issue. One meal looked completly different from the other. Not to mention one was under cooked and neither got sour cream or any sauce with it. We've been coming here for years and never reviewed it so here goes!! First let me say that their salsa is the best anywhere! And their chips, warm and salty just as they should be! The food is consistent and always good. The service varies depending on the day, it has been amazing and also sometimes mediocre. Today was amazing with pretty much every server in the place filling our drinks, refilling salsa and chips without asking. Our main server, Kyle, is always friendly and on top of things, but today was the best service we've ever had here! The food, as I said was perfect, we had chicken fajitas (substituting broccoli for the peppers and onions), enchiladas, the El Grande (hard shell beef taco, cheese enchilada, chicken chimichanga and beef burrito, with rice and beans and I had the street tacos - one each of tilapia, Cajun shrimp and chicken - all of which had their own unique and complementary sauces and veggies with a side of rice and beans. The food arrived fast and although the street tacos were not quite hot, everything else was perfect temperature. Ok. This place is almost walking distance to my daughter's house. We sneak in here whenever we come to CT. We frequently sit and eat in the bar. It clearly recently changed hands. Disclaimer! I'm pretty picky about Mexican food. I will focus on tonight's visit. I judge all Mexican restaurants by salsa and margaritas.. just basic Mexican restaurants stuff. BOTH of those changed... and not for the better. They still have the margarita machine (essential for a decent margarita) but it is a little sweeter and not served in margarita glass (big point loss for that) the salsa before was not the best but certainly a 7 or an 8. Tonight it is the wrong color (not red enough) and flavor is less tomato. A 6 at best. Chips are same as before so those are fine. We ordered tacos (as it's taco Tuesday) I ordered corn and got flour. Hubby's looked fine. Overall, they were ok but not as good as before. A little disappointing. To save time and effort, I am posting a copy of a review used elsewhere: I regret having to write this review: We have patronized Senor Panchos once or twice month for an extended period of time. We have enjoyed the food and service. However, the business has now been sold (the restaurant part, not the catering), and it shows. The food is not prepared as well as before; that alone might be enough to not return. However, the new "owners" have little concern for their guests. We let our waitress know, three times, that all was not well. There was no response from the kitchen or whomever was managing at the time. That was inexcusable. There is a lesson to be learned: the family/owner that built the reputation of this establishment did so over a number of years. I respect those efforts. However, that goodwill can be extinguished in a few months by those who simply do not care. read more
