I've always been nervous about chiropractors because of bad past experiences where I felt uncomfortable and even a bit violated. The few times I went, it was all cracking, too much equipment, and nothing explained--I left more uneasy than helped. Because of that, I avoided chiropractors for years even though I've had lower back problems for over a decade. When I finally called Cameron, I was in a lot of pain and honestly a little apprehensive. From the start, he was different. He took time to really listen, was extremely understanding, and made me feel at ease. Before doing any major adjustments, he had me get an X-ray just to be safe and to better understand what was going on. That alone gave me confidence--no one had ever taken that step with me before. The X-ray showed that my hips had been out of place for a long time, likely from years of skateboarding injuries. What I appreciate most about Cameron is how respectful and transparent he is. Boy oh boy are my wife and I lucky we found Cameron. My wife had just delivered our first kiddo and she was suffering from some of the worst sciatica pain I'd ever seen. She came across Cameron, called him on the phone and from that moment on we knew he was the right person for us. He instantly calmed her by reassuring her and took the time to hear her out, validate her, and get her an appointment set. She went to see him and the relief was nearly instant. Obviously, she would need more than one appointment but one thing that Cameron did that I've not seen from any other chiropractors is that he taught her different stretches and motions she could do to help strengthen her muscles to help keep his fixes in place. His goal is not to sell you but to genuinely heal you. Cameron is not the "churn em and burn em" type. He takes his time with you. Long story short: Three months ago I couldn't walk from pain, and after 5 sessions with Cameron, I'm pain-free. In December, my lower back pain had flared up so much I could barely get in and out of a car. I met with physical therapists, an orthopedist, and others... Nothing worked. But Cameron figured it out. In our first appointment he realized my L4 and L5 vertebrae were out of place (the first doctor to notice). He set me up with a 5-session plan of adjustments. Cameron is a step above the rest! I've been to numerous chiropractors in the Bay Area since moving here a few years ago - suffering from on an off neck and low back pain. Cameron has been the first chiropractor to thoroughly listen to my complaints and concerns, and use that knowledge (which included my history with chiropractors and PTs) to adjust me in a way that I was comfortable with. I prefer more manual adjustments rather than a bunch of tools, and Cameron does an excellent job at balancing both of these options for a thorough adjustment with every visit. I initially called Dr. Cameron for my 11 year old daughter who is a dancer and gymnast and had sustained an injury in her lower back that progressively got worse. The day I called she could barely walk. He made room for us and we saw him the same day. He's thoughtful, inquisitive, respectful, comforting, and assuring. Within 4 visits my daughter was out of pain completely and he's developed a treatment approach (maintenance - 1x/month) since she's in such physical activities 4-5 days a week. After I saw how he worked I couldn't wait to see him. I've had 3 very good chiropractors over the last 27 years and hadn't seen my last chiropractor in over a year bc it was too over stimulating and difficult me to relax. (The treatment room wasn't private which is important for me.) Cameron would be my 4th and has blown me away with the level of detail, honesty, follow up, and interest in really understanding what the problem might be. He is by far the best chiropractor I've had. He's direct and conservative in his approach but as I mentioned earlier, warm and thoughtful. His treatment room is private and you can speak freely about other life events and how they are affecting your body. I trust him with my child and with me. I've never felt healthier. As a former dancer with a sacrum injury and some SI stuff - I believe I'll dance again at some point. I'm down to 2 times per month and I'm no longer suffering from chronic pain and on a plan with him to not just be pain free for 'now' but to try to make some real changes in my alignment. Of course it involves lots of core work outside of his time with me - but he makes great suggestions. He's trained in both adult and child chiropractic care and isn't afraid to ask for help. With my daughter, we required an x-ray to be as careful and thoughtful as possible. He reviewed it but had a colleague confirm the issue which made me feel so safe.
