I have been seeing Doctor Raymond Pulmano, Receiving chiropractic care for my first time & the doctor has been very supportive in my questions, explaining the treatment & exercises for me to understand what muscle groups we are targeting and why. I presented with was lower neck pain and tension in my right shoulder, I work at a desk job so most of the time of my day I am spent in front of a computer. Started coming to SF Custom and seeing Dr. Ray Pulmano at the Fidi location throughout 2019 and then in my neighborhood in Mission Bay during the duration of the pandemic (whenever things were allowed open again). His bubbly, friendly, and humorous personality is one that brightens any day and gets you to fleetingly forget some of the stressors of life while in the office. Dr. Pulmano as always provides great service and we always have fun conversations around travel, work, catching up on all things with life (and my dog). I always feel more energized and more relaxed after our short sessions for 15-30min. Just last year, Dr. Pulmano helped work on a really badly rolled ankle where it was on and off swollen for 6-8 months prior to his office re-opening and after I got back from a long trip southbound for 4-5 weeks last summer. I did not take care of the injury properly, but within 2-3 sessions, I saw significant improvement. I think my ankle was able to improve not just with the sessions with Dr. Pulmano, but also with his "prescribed" exercises that he instructed me to do every morning and night to work on the mobility of my injured ankle. I'd say a year and some change months after we worked on my ankle, I'm about 95% back to how I was prior to the terrible injury. 10/10 would recommend seeing Dr. Pulmano!! FYI and highly recommend this - I always do the warmup stretches on the electronic tables before starting my session with Dr. Pulmano, it is definitely worth a visit here if you've recently been injured or just need to fix a few kinks in your neck, back, or anything on your body. Not me wanting to gatekeep this place! I injured my shoulder (rotator cuff) a while back, rehabbed it and injured it again. I've had low back pain issues for years and decided to check out SF Custom Chiropractic for acupuncture and chiropractic care. It was my first time trying acupuncture and Dr. Willis was great at explaining everything and answered all my questions during my initial treatment. I was a little apprehensive at first because I've never had any adjustments done before but Dr. Pulmano is confident, reassuring, and really took the time to understand my pain. SF custom Chiropractic saved my legs. A bit of background, I had surgery on my left Achilles tendon way back in 2021 and I developed Achilles tendinitis on my right leg. Legs made of wood basically. Dr Pulmano has worked magic to get me feeling closer to what I was before 2021 in a short amount of time, and for that I'm super grateful. If anyone needs a knot massaged away, or a lingering tightness to disappear, this is the place to go. I love this place, but the only downside is the price! In February of 2022, I was involved in a vehicle accident and looked for chiropractic care for my lower back and neck discomforts I had been feeling from the aftermath. I immediately thought of Dr. Ray Pulmano. My former Chiro no longer had an office and I was hesitant to go to someone I didn't know or was familiar with. Immediately, I thought of Dr. Pulmano, who I knew from common friends. My first visit with him went very smoothly and he assessed my problem areas and set up a plan to correct the issues. He explained exactly what he was doing and provided at home exercises to help with the care. He was very knowledgeable of his profession and made the whole process a great experience. He is easy to get a long with and has an amazing personality! Many many laughs were shared after the adjustments due to my reactions which made it an easy going experience. I'm pretty sure the whole office knew I when I was in during my visits! For part of my care I also had massage therapy after my chiro appointments. I had these sessions with Dominic! I loved these sessions especially when scheduled on Monday's to just end a long first day of the week with some deep tissue massage and relaxation. Dominic was so easy to talk to and he made my experience very comforting. I'm quite a talker and he always made conversation so easy. After a long day at work or after the long week and weekend before it was good to just chit chat and talk about life. We literally could chat about anything, which made it a nice experience. I am sure some combination of them assisted me. Then I heard about Active Release Therapy and met Doctor Raymond Pulmano who specializes in Active Release Therapy. I have always responded best to Chiropractics and when I read this was a type of specific Chiropractic treatment I decided to try it. I admit I had to give it some time and in retrospect I see that my body needed to heal which is no quick fix. I see that as a good thing. Dr. Pulmano knows the mechanics of human body and is a WIZARD at his craft. Equally important is that he has a huge heart and truly cares about the progress and health of his clients. He assists with humor, dedication and gives helpful tips to work on between visits. I have also seen Dr. Jacobs in the same office who is patient, thorough, holistic and extremely kind. You can opt to do Active Release Therapy in combination with Acupuncture and Massage at their office. My favorite is the traction table you can opt to use while awaiting your appointment with the therapists doing some pre stretching. They do take insurance if you are lucky enough to be covered but after all the bits and pieces and moving parts, I am keenly aware of how priceless good health and mobility is! I am so grateful to Dr. Pulmano and his team for the Deluxe Care and Relief. A few months ago I could barely walk and in July I was happily climbing the ruins in Mexico City. A milestone was reached recently when I could begin to go down stairs for the first time since January 2022.
