It is a big park. It offers a lot of activities to do. They have 8 baseball fields, they have a volleyball area, basketball court and newly renovated kids playground. They have benches for picnics, enough bathroom facilities, water fountains and even a no tough hand sanitizer. It is a nice park for a walk. It offers a lot of shade. Parking is free.

PROS: My kids (8 and 4) really enjoyed this park. There are lots of different areas for a variety of ages. The colored panels are such a fun idea and look really neat in the sun. There are large grassy areas with beautiful green grass where we could play soccer/frisbee/tag, etc. There was a family having a picnic under the shade of one of the big trees. There is even a little scavenger hunt on the biggest play structure where kids can look for different little pictures that are hung up on various areas of the playground. Super cute idea! CONS: One slide on the large play structure is closed (it has wood over the opening), and there is orange netting (like you'd see around the edge of a construction site) over one of the areas that the kids can use to climb up a level. The only thing is that it's just hanging loosely and not secured, so plenty of kids were just pulling it back and climbing up anyway. There is also noticeable noise from the nearby highway that made it hard to hear what my kids were saying. Also keep in mind this is a large play area, and the nature of the structures makes it hard to see/keep track of where your kids are. Doesn't matter as much if your kids are older, but it was harder to make sure my younger kiddo was safe. It's a beautiful park. All in all we had a great time and will be back!

Always good clean park to come relax and do some sprints. They maintain it very well I never seen bad grass areas.

    Trees, baseball diamond.

Nice park. Very spacious. My 4-yo daughter enjoys the play structure. I've played softball here in the past. The baseball diamonds are well cared for, as is the park overall. Lots of big trees with plenty of shade. A few more picnic tables and benches would be nice, but there is still a good amount available.

Walking April, plenty of grassy areas...

I have only been to this park once since moving to California and I really enjoyed it. I never knew this was the park you can see from the 14 Freeway. There is an abundance of parking, plenty of restrooms, lots of picnic tables and BBQ grills in the park too. I believe there are concessions but I imagine that it is open for baseball games when they are being played (they were not open when I visited). I really liked that trash cans were everywhere so nobody will litter. I took my dogs for a walk and the placement of trash cans was really helpful for me. Seemed like a clean park and it was very well manicured. For sport activities the park has tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields and a playground for the kids. Lots of grassy areas and plenty of trees to relax under while managing to stay out of the sun. I'll definitely be coming here often.

Love this park. It's nice and shaded and quite large so great for getting a good walk in for dogs. I do wish they had an off leash area, but other than that one of my favorite parks. My pup enjoys our time spent here!

This is a great park! It has a really fun playground for kids, and awesome facilities. I don't live in Lancaster, but really enjoyed my visit.

Just a review for bark in the park. The last 2 years have been poor . Less local vendors. I love handmade soaps and lotions. There was a lady that made the coolest dog collar bandanas and she has been MIA. I am really disappointed to see less vendors and crafty things

Use to be able to play tennis on the weekends. They have tournaments all the time now and never any courts available. It's ridiculous.

Monday nights here are the best. Free music and about 10 food trucks. Free parking. Plenty of seating. Fun for the whole family.

Nice park, nice softball fields, no alcohol. Boo. Still a good place to take the family...but it is Lancaster, avoid it at night. Haha.

The playground has a large rocket which is at least 30 feet high! It includes two totally enclosed tube slides and another 2-4 lower slides. In fact it was so tall I was afraid my 2-4 yo's would be too scared to go up to top, but nope! It took them 2 to 3 times walking up the stairs to gather the courage, but once they did it trying to get them off the slide to put on jackets became more of an issue. We had a water gun fight, ate some snacks and they played til they were wore out. I heard this isn't the grandest neighborhood, although I didn't experience any issues, I am not familiar enough with the AV area to give a honest opinion: good or bad about that so know that my star rating is based solely on my experience inside the park not the neighborhood. The pluses for me was that they had a clean play area and the splash zone is right next to the two grounds. One set is for say 5 yo and up and a more milder toddler area all in same eye path, so you could easily watch two sets of kids. There is a lot of grass areas so you can camp out, have a picnic and make it a day trip with young ones. There is ample parking with a well lit lot. The soccer and other fields were brightly lit so you can play organized sports at night. What I did have a issue with is: The playground isn't lit up at night. (see pics below) which I truly don't understand. We waited thinking that the timer hadn't spring forward with time, but after looking around noticed two things the light structure is set for a dim yellow almost amber light while all the fields have super bright white lights and that one light was actually on so the other 2-3 lights just hadn't been maintained! Shame on parks and rec to not thinking of the safety of children especially during spring time when families are coming back out in larger groups. And next a question for parks and rec. Why does the playground where our most precious gems would play have the dimmest lights? You are putting children at risk of falling, being touched or hit inappropriately or worse (use your imagination!) This should be the brightest lights the park has not the darn soccer field. How is any mom and/or dad going to go let the little ones play while waiting for their older ones to finish up a practice or game with little to no lights? That needs to be addressed ASAP!!! and that is the reason my rating is only a 3 star, because I think that dusk time visits would be unsafe for most families.

There is one spot I think they missed a great tree spot to cover all the parental views, but that's just a small inconvenience. They would have earned 5 stars of there was a splash pad, water mister or something there! I just don't understand why every park in the AV doesn't have a water element as hot as it is here. Temps range 90+° as early as April until as late as October. (Since they can afford to water the fields mid-day in the summer the water and cost isn't a issue) I didn't visit restrooms so I can't comment on them, the park is clean and well maintained. I appreciate that the water fountain is clean and in working condition also that they have a doggie bowl for our family pets. That was well thought out Also it is kind of handicap accessible for kids that need extra assistance. They have ramps onto equipment and they have a rocking type ride that a child who was there in a chair was able to enjoy. It would be great if a swing for them could be added idk how but something that can lock in a chair and let them also enjoy that. But the fact it isn't sand means a lot for some kids I thought that was very well thought through. I will bring the baby back again she enjoyed herself
