Love this park. The host Monday night Bites and the Juneteenth festival yearly- which are my favorite events.

Playground looked damaged especially around the turn about slides. There were large wooden boards blocking children from going to the top but it wasn't properly barricaded because children were able to enter the fenced off slides. The tall towered play area could use some repairs and some areas such as the toddler are could use an update. The upside is there is plenty of shaded areas to sit and picnic but as far as the safety of it, I don't feel safe taking my children there because of the conditions of the play area. read more

This park has a lot of hidden dangers. My husband got slammed on his lip and his wrist with the heavy yellow swing protection part of the swing, which came down to hit him when he was putting my daughter into the swing and when he was trying to take her out. In addition, baby swing is hung so high that it's difficult to even place the baby/children into the swing. Maybe it's intended for teenagers. Another reason is, there's a lot of broken parts of the playground slide, which is not maintained for safety. Lastly, there's parts of the part that is not completed or us missingparts. read more

It is a big park. It offers a lot of activities to do. They have 8 baseball fields, they have a volleyball area, basketball court and newly renovated kids playground. They have benches for picnics, enough bathroom facilities, water fountains and even a no tough hand sanitizer. It is a nice park for a walk. It offers a lot of shade. Parking is free. read more

This is such a Fun Park! Ample free parking for normal days. Any events, arrive early for a parking spot. Very Clean! So much room for the little ones to run around :) read more

It's really fun for kids my child loves the slides and swings it has a lot of activities

PROS: My kids (8 and 4) really enjoyed this park. There are lots of different areas for a variety of ages. The colored panels are such a fun idea and look really neat in the sun. There are large grassy areas with beautiful green grass where we could play soccer/frisbee/tag, etc. There was a family having a picnic under the shade of one of the big trees. There is even a little scavenger hunt on the biggest play structure where kids can look for different little pictures that are hung up on various areas of the playground. Super cute idea! CONS: One slide on the large play structure is closed (it has wood over the opening), and there is orange netting (like you'd see around the edge of a construction site) over one of the areas that the kids can use to climb up a level. The only thing is that it's just hanging loosely and not secured, so plenty of kids were just pulling it back and climbing up anyway. There is also noticeable noise from the nearby highway that made it hard to hear what my kids were saying. Also keep in mind this is a large play area, and the nature of the structures makes it hard to see/keep track of where your kids are. Doesn't matter as much if your kids are older, but it was harder to make sure my younger kiddo was safe. It's a beautiful park. All in all we had a great time and will be back! read more

Nice park. Very spacious. My 4-yo daughter enjoys the play structure. I've played softball here in the past. The baseball diamonds are well cared for, as is the park overall. Lots of big trees with plenty of shade. A few more picnic tables and benches would be nice, but there is still a good amount available. read more

A ton of open green space covered in shady trees! A great place for a family picnic, group gatherings, sports, and to take pets :)

My girlfriend and I went to this park for a picnic date and it was amazing everyone is respectful and we had a little squirrel come up to us and we gave him some cashews and he enjoyed them and even buried some of the cashews to save them! We had an amazing time, the kids loved it and we all enjoyed ourselves, plenty of room and things for the kids to do.

I have only been to this park once since moving to California and I really enjoyed it. I never knew this was the park you can see from the 14 Freeway. There is an abundance of parking, plenty of restrooms, lots of picnic tables and BBQ grills in the park too. I believe there are concessions but I imagine that it is open for baseball games when they are being played (they were not open when I visited). I really liked that trash cans were everywhere so nobody will litter. I took my dogs for a walk and the placement of trash cans was really helpful for me. Seemed like a clean park and it was very well manicured. For sport activities the park has tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields and a playground for the kids. Lots of grassy areas and plenty of trees to relax under while managing to stay out of the sun. I'll definitely be coming here often. read more

Use to be able to play tennis on the weekends. They have tournaments all the time now and never any courts available. It's ridiculous.

This park is ok. It used have more vendors and overall more community and family vibe. I dont know why its changed throughout the year, but wish it would go back to the way it was. This park is named after a very brave hero from our community, and is definitely a gem inside lancaster. Would hope the city will invest more into its parks! read more

Just a review for bark in the park. The last 2 years have been poor . Less local vendors. I love handmade soaps and lotions. There was a lady that made the coolest dog collar bandanas and she has been MIA. I am really disappointed to see less vendors and crafty things read more

This was my first time at the park and it was fun. It was my first time in the batting cages and I'd say I did pretty good for a girl whose never played softball or baseball. I was batting in the fast baseball cages and that was quite an experience. I got a few good hits. Maybe 5 at my best and missed the rest once I got more use to the speed the balls shot out. It's a must try!!! Can't wait to go back!!! read more

It's a nice trip for a bike ride or with the kids. There are plenty of benches for picnics, basketball courts, about 8 baseball fields, acres of grass to play and a decent playground for children. We'll make our next bicycle picnic at Lancaster City Park. read more

I've been coming to this park since I was a youngster, I like it. My husband and I are huge baseball/softball players so we come out here as much as possible. The fields are well kept and clean. The basketball courts are always full of men, women and kids of all ages. They have volleyball courts that are fun. There are like 8 tennis courts that are nice. They have halls where u can rent out for bdays or receptions. On a weekend if you cruise through you'll see a bunch a families with there pets barbecuing and just having a great time. read more

I love Lancaster City Park. I used to do my March of Dimes at this locating every year. It's near Costco and my current home. I love it because there is enough shade from trees. There is enough parking and a lot of local events take place here. The city always keeps the park tidy. read more

I love taking my toddler son to this park. Along with The Blvd, The Thai, and our two local breweries, I definitely think it's one of the highlights of the AV. This park is always clean, I meet nice parents and grandparents during almost every single visit, and my son loves playing here. There are two really great toddler play areas (with lots of swings!) but I just wish there was more shade for them. It's hotter than hell here in the summer which is so bad on delicate baby skin. Love this park!!! My one yr old son loves the kid area. Very interactive area from piano playing tutorials to car driving and the mini cafe area. His new favorite place to go. Also they have a lot of seating areas for parties some are reserved but most weren't. Perfect for parties or family gatherings some of the seating has BBQ pits in the seating area. Alot of parking since it's next to the transportation center, also makes getting there easy. read more

Eggstravaganza! I enjoy that this park holds many community events. The Poppy festival will arriving shortly. It is our family's annual tradition, we enjoyed all the year's memories that park brought to our family and introducing future generations to our traditions as well. This park is really nice. Hi-Desert Dog classes are held there. It's pleasant for both owners & their dogs to learn Obedience & to get training for Therapy Certification . Other classes go on too. I take my little dog there for relaxation & running & to enjoy the trees & to have a lunch. read more
