Worst service I've ever received. I brought some backpacks in to be embroidered now they are hanging on the wall as if they are for sale. I brought them in December and have tried going to the storefront calling on multiple occasions and unfortunately no luck with getting them back. Not only is this bad service but this Shabi cleaners business are a bunch of crooks for stealing my backpacks and having me pay upfront for embroidery. Also they make you pay upfront which should have set off a red flag. My best advice never come to this establishment. read more

Dropped off 6 shirts for dry cleaning. Went to pick them up and they replaced an expensive Hugo Boss shirt with an old and ugly shirt with stained collar. I immediately told the owner the shirt wasn't mine and gave it back. Showed him a pic of the one that was missing and he said he'd find it. Here we are a week later and he's asking me to come in and show him the picture again. They also broke buttons on 2 other shirts. So they lost a $150 shirt, broke buttons on 2 others. They screwed up half of what they were given. If you want to keep your clothes don't visit this place. read more

I have used Julies alterations for several years and always had a good experiance. Unfortunatly Julie passed away a year or so ago and her buissiness was bought out. I took two brand new pants in for alteration and when I picked them up from the bearded gentalman with the marijuana bong on the counter that he hurridly put away as I entered the store,.. they were covered in threads and one pair has a large thread hanging from the alteratin and I had to ask the gentalman to cut it off . As I looked at the second pair it had a large black grease stain right near the alteration and I showed him and he said , I told her not to be taking work home because this is what happens. I told him if the stain did not come out I would be back. The stain did not come out so I am out $60 for the pants , and $15 for the alteration plus the time. I want all of the people to know that the new owners are the complete opposite of Julie. I will not ever go back. read more

The employee said he will repair it but will charge me extra for something they did wrong. BEWARE!! I really don t know why this place is in business! I took in 5 dress pants there to get it hem from the bottom. After measurement from "Julie" I told her that I can leave it with her for a week or so. "No problem".. That was on 02-11-14.. "It will be ready for pickup 02-19-14. Show up for pick up 02-21-14. "Sorry, I am still working on it, been sick this week" I was like I understand, I ll pic it in another week.. Show up on 03-01-14. "I m here to pick up my items that Julie was working on". After 5 mins or so looking for my pants, "sorry I can t find them." Now I m getting really irritated! "Well, where is it? Can u get a hold of Julie and ask her? "Oh she is at a party today! You need to come back later!" "And why are u yelling at me! I don't know anything! I have a high blood pressure! You should leave! I was like WTF!! First of all, I m not yelling at you! I just want my pants back completed or not! This is totally unprofessional! I m a paying customer! Did not ask her to do it for free! I need my pants back now! Now she on the phone calling "Julie". I get on the phone with her and first thing she did was yelled at me! I just hung up! 2 mins later the lady went to the back room and came back with a yellow bag with all my pants stuff in there. I grew up just up the street from this place and have been to Julie's many times over the last three or so years. I'm an avid thrifter and believe in tailoring clothes to fit. Julie and her friend altered my sister's prom dress and baby girl was slayin' her senior year. This place burned down a few years ago and the plaza went down but picked back up again. I got into thrifting and sewing my own clothes more in high school. The rest has been history, but I haven't always had the time anymore. I trust Julie like both of my biological grandmothers. She's a great person and I love our conversations when I drop in. That being said my mom thrifted a pair of jeans for $5 dollars as a thriftscoffingnosewrinkler that first time. I had to beg her to invest $15 dollars in altering that first pair of jeans. "Why would I pay fifteen bucks to alter five dollar jeans?," she scoffed. I somehow convinced her to trust me and every time she's slid them on since she picked them up, she can't help but run her hands down the good fit. That's those now twenty dollar jeans... but isn't that what we consider normal on the brunt of capitalism? My mom's not the biggest thrifter but she did find jeans with the tag on them. After altering them to fit her petite but still curvier body, she digs them more than her other ones. "You were right," sounds damn good and I revel in every last bit of it. We love catching each others secretive winks receiving compliments on these kinds of "projects". Today, I took a denim jacket I just couldn't get the patch to adhere to despite all the adhesive web I kept ironing onto the back. I also took a few blouses I had sewn in India that I wanted cropped. I walked in and was greeted by a gentleman sweeping with no sight of Julie, I didn't mind waiting a few minutes. Once she was back, I walked up to the mirror and told her exactly what I wanted done. Yes, I paid $42 bucks to have clothes altered. That's three blouses for $12 dollars each, and a jacket patch for $6 dollars. That's thread, labor, energy, and, attention. That's supporting a small local business, a woman, and someone I trust. It's facilitating a relationship that is my generation meeting hers. It's having it ready in three days because I treat her like a human and I want my money to go here. It's not complaining that so and so my mom knows can do it for cheaper. It's not bargaining and shaming people for their work. People are worth more than this. We're just so darn privileged and disconnected from who makes our things and where they're from. Most people don't even know wtf a cobbler is and buy a new pair of *fill in the blank* every school year or new season for work 'til it's "done". Maybe I'm not reliable because I buy "expensive" jeans from an out of state gas station since they're made in the US. I'd rather pay for what I get and wear it for a long time than go through clothing like toilet paper before shucking it into a landfill next to everyone else's fast fashioned bullshit. People are unaware of the true cost of things. It's the same reason we tip a bar tender and pay five bucks for a drink with a mermaid on it. I purchased a "snuggie" with hoodie on line and love it, but did not like that it was a pull over. I took it to Julie and asked if she could put a zipper in that wold make it easier to put on. She did a beautiful job and I now Love it even more. The whole experience was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I have used this cleaner several times despite the poor review because my husband liked them. The male staff member and Julie the owner are nice, the other short haired lady is super rude. I have had no issues with them until my most recent experience with them. I dropped of 5 shirts to be cleaned last week and was told they would be ready Monday at 4. Get to Monday and they cannot find my garments. The gentleman calls Julie inquiring for them and then states they won't be ready until the next day at 11. I keep questioning why they aren't ready and where my shirts are and he has no good explanation until I watch him dig them out of some hamper behind the counter. My garments had yet to be even sent out, washed, or pressed. I inquired why would they tell me Monday if they weren't even sent out yet and he just kept placing blame on Julie the owner. Needless to say I took my garments and left, taking my business elsewhere. 2 stars because the prices are fairly cheap and the actual cleaning isn't bad. Rude and unprofessional!!! Will NEVER go back! Went here for first time to shorten some pants. She wanted to charge me $10 each and said other places would charge more. She said" if you want to go somewhere else then GO!" I asked her to measure my inseam, she said "No, you need to try them on!" I really didn't want to spend the time trying every pair on and measuring them. She then insisted that skinny jeans should be short when I wanted them longer. Horrible experience! had to get a skirt altered. She makes me a ticket before I tell her what I am looking for, tells me to place the tacks where I want them and then I tell her let me call and make sure the length is correct. I could not get a hold of whom I needed and I told her I would be back either later today or tomorrow. She ripped up my ticket in my face and said no, don't come back! I asked so you don't want my service? She said, I appreciate what you're saying ...DON'T COME BACK! If you want to do some of the work yourself, get overcharged and have horrible service then go there... if not, don't! :) read more

Sucky sucky and more sucky. The worst service ever. The cleaners I used to go to went out of business. So I had to find another and Julie's is the closest so I tried them first. Half the shirts were lousy. The Girl working there said she will hem the pants before the seamstress got in. (maybe trying to make some side money). No problem came back next day and she hadn't got to it. She says cone back by 15 min before 1 So I did, she explained she has not got to it and to come back at 1pm. (like I don't have better things to do). Wound up going back two days later, got pants hemmed but wrinkled they could have at least pressed it for the inconvenience. The half shirts that were sent back won't be done for three days. That's a total of eight days. All this for double the price and double the pain. Well two more options in Ceres. I'm the type that won't tell a business how they messed up but I'll tell all my friends. I'm glad there's yelp maybe I can help someone before they go through a bunch of drama. read more

I took a few Jerseys to add sleeve patches too, Lady said no problem to come back on Friday. I came back on Friday and they were done,but one of the jerseys had the patches done backwards on the wrong sides. She said she would take care of it but it would be an extra charge. At this time I was up to 24.00 dollars but figured it was ok since I brought another Jersey for her to do. I came back 3 days later and the Jersey was not done, she stated that glue on the patches would not allow her to pull the patches off. A gentlemen, who I believe works with her, came in and said I can remove them but you will have glue stains. I said I will remove the Glue stains and bring the jersey back next Monday. The lady said fine bring them back Monday and I will have them ready the same afternoon. I arrived on Monday with the Jersey and the lady said it would be done the next day. At this time it has been almost two weeks and I needed the Jersey for a game on Tuesday, so I said I need it that afternoon. She rudely said fine I will have it ready by 4:45PM. I came back and the Jersey was ready but she stated it would be an extra charge, I was up to $38.00 at this point and lost my patience with her and time. I told her I had to drive back 3 times and it cost me gas as well as time as well as it being completely unfair since it was her fault. She proceeded to throw the jersey at me and said fine, don't come back to my store anymore. I do not know what got into her as I was completely polite in all instances. I was in complete shock with her attitude. I took my jersey walked out of her store and simply said God Bless. I will never come back to this tailor, who always brags about a newspaper article from awhile back about being the best in Ceres, CA. She may have been the best at one time, but I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Having once owned businesses myself, I have always put the customer as number one. This lady seems to add more and more money, if there is a problem and not even care about a customers needs, unless you pay her for it. This being all said and done she charged me $38.00 to put 6 patches on 3 jerseys. I have found another place in Ceres , that is more economical as well as Excellent customer service. No worries I will take your advice and not come back to your business, as well as let as many people know about your lack of service. read more
