I had to clean the windows on my 2-story house to put it on the market. The owner is nice and professional and made the whole process easy for me. I also got some good advice about leaving the screens in the garage so the realtor could take better photos. I would highly recommend using them for one-time or regular cleaning. Very disappointing... Last year at this time, I paid $1200 for Christmas lights and installation. This year when I reached out to schedule an appointment to put up the Christmas lights again, I was told Shack Shine no longer services my area. It can't be because of COVID because the work is all done outside. I guess Derek went to Florida and never came back. read more

Shack Shine was extremely flexible and highly communicative, which were priorities for me. We leveraged them for siding cleaning to fulfill HOA-specified requirements. I didn't need to be home for the service, and there was enough trust for me to pay over the phone after the service had already been completed. Rarely have I found a company that embodies all the best qualities of providing such exceptional customer service; i.e., friendly, courteous, and responsive. Derek and his crew were polite and professional, which is especially important to me since my profession is customer service. In this respect, I waited before posting this review because I wanted to see if my enthusiasm waned -- it has not! With over 20 companies in and around my area that offer exterior house washing, it would be hard for me to believe that even one of them approaches the service Shack Shine Fairfax provides. Can't say enough great things about Derek and his company (Shack Shine in Great Falls office). First of all, they are a fairly new company in the area and they came in with the best pricing and overall quote for my window washing. They are looking for business and are ready to work! I contacted 2 other top YELP window cleaning services and Derek's bid blew them away (one was almost double the price). He was professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and he really went the extra mile to earn my business. My windows are sparkling clean (inside, outside and frames and screens) and they obtained this by using state-of-the-art equipment and both men (Derek and his business partner) were very hard workers. I have to add that they were very courteous and kind and asked if I was completely satisfied with their work when they finished. I even had them do an add-on window which they didn't charge me for (so I tipped them for doing it). In addition to washing windows, they do power washing, roof cleaning, and gutter cleaning. I will be adding Shack Shine to my annual home maintenance list of contractors. read more

Outstanding job! These guys work really hard and basically scrub your house versus just a powerwashing. That is really good to keep water from getting in behind your siding as well.
