I am going to throw it out there and say remodeling suck! I am currently remodeling my whole house and it has been an emotional roller coaster, a lot of sweat equity and a hole in my wallet. I removed my carpet, tile flooring in the kitchen, demo this floating wall separating my living room for more of an open concept and I tried painting my cabinets myself and failed miserably 3 times. I realized there is a lot of prep work and details that needed to be done and I couldn't do this alone, so the search began. I tried calling almost everyone on yelp but my appointments either rescheduled , no show, or I felt ripped off. My house was a complete mess and I felt like giving up because at this rate I probably won't finish my house till next year! I actually found Shacy on Craigslist, made an appointment and he actually showed up! He quoted me for my cabinets but I actually hired him to paint my whole interior of my house also because of the fair pricing he quoted me. We had our entry, formal living room, kitchen:family room, den & hallways painted- along with our ceilings & baseboards. I personally didn't know which color to choose & he handled all of that based on my decor & thank God he did! He selected a beautiful color. When all the painting was done, he suggested that I stain my cabinets & we went for it & they are stunning! Shariel is the owner & he's a great guy! I had 4 quotes on my house before I decided to go with shacy. Shacy seemed to have the most knowledge and experience amongst the four therefore he gave a sense of comfort to choose him. So the painting project began and the first day he arrived on time was very professional. He continued his puctionality everyday throughout the project, but I notice that he wasn't very clean. I had to ask him to clean up obvious things that he left behind and found cigarette buds on my driveway. Towards the end when he was finishing up I notice the quality wasn't very good. I found a bunch of paint drips on my trim and lines weren't cut cleanly. The sad thing is that Shacy was the most expensive quote I obtained. We originally had Shacy quote to do our kitchen cabinets. Then we asked him to also quote painting the outside of the house. Both prices were very reasonable and better then any other quote which would of required two different contractors. Shacy was there on the day he said he would be and did the whole job in 6 days, which is what he said it would take. He and his crew were very professional, courteous and polite to all our request.
