Wanted to charge me over $40 per tire to just balance them. I know that businesses cannot do stuff for free but over $40 per tire just for balancing is outrageous. I found another company in town that did it for less than half that. read more

They said they were having a tire sale. Buy 3 get 1 free. I agreed immediately. They had to order the tires and charged $750.00 deposit. They gave me a receipt for the deposit. The price seemed a little steep so I asked for a printed invoice. They charged $247.00 for road hazard. I told them I didn't want road hazard. They said that is the only way to get the discount. I asked for a refund and they said I would have to wait for corporate to refund it. Been a week no refund yet. Don't trust these crooks and the add on they sneak on your bill. read more

Will never take my car to be worked on or serviced. Asked to work on issue and never fixed it. Was charged $600 to tell me to take it somewhere else. They were supposed to service my car but when I took it to another place, there was a valve leak and brake shoes was bad and they never mentioned it to me. read more

MY CAR IS 2 HOURS AWAY FROM ME. I was out of town to meet with a recruiter for the military & the other reviews right! They hate people in the military. I signed up to fight for our freedom not be treated like garbage. I've called the shop a few times cus theyve had my car over the weekend & they haven't called to update once. I hope that their mechanic skills aren't as bad as their people//management skills. 40 yr old guy at the front desk with the haircut of a 16 yr old boy is overly cocky. he cares way too much about things that dont matter. like arguing about semantics. read more

Used Shaddens for years really liked them. Recently had heard bad things about the service from others. I still went because I've always had a positive experience, til today. I bought 4 tires needed 4tps sensors, and bought lug nuts $1600. Got a certificate for a free alignment so I took it back because the tires were not balanced right, and got the alignment while I was there. Picked it up and they didn't rebalance my tires. I've spent thousands of dollars there, but will never spend another dollar there. Customer service has also become very rude . read more

My son is a tire wholesaler in Atlanta and covers the southeast USA. When I moved to Crossville, I asked him where to go for tires, etc. He was not hesitant and recommended Shadden. I have had work done at both of their locations and will attest to their professionalism. Theirs is the only tire store/mechanic shop that I've ever been in that actually felt clean, too! The staff is great. No gimmicks, no snobs. I was in one day and there was a long delay. I an diabetic and was starting to feel low sugar levels. They WANTED TO buy me a meal! I had just paid over $100 to get a rotation, alignment, and oil change at a Volvo dealership in Chattanooga (because it is close to where I go to school). My car was making an even louder sound and shaking when I drove. I called Shadden's the morning I wanted in and they fit me in immediately. They were quick and thorough and kept me up to date as they were working on my car. I found out that the dealership I had just waited so long on hadn't even done the work they said they did (which they charged me for). I would not recommend this auto repair shop, especially if you have a import car. Evidentially their mechanics are not properly trained to fix imports. Took my vehicle for brake service, six hours later no call to tell me the vehicle was done, after picking up vehicle the very next day brakes are clunking I could barely drive the speed limit on the highway. The manger "Wade" is not very veteran friendly, if you ask for a military discount he will fight you over it. Lived here for 13+ years but if your not a local yocal they will bump you down to the bottom of the waiting list. This is the THIRD time they have done shoddy work so in closing I would recommend J&R Auto Repair. read more

I had a flat tire and Shadden Tire Co. on 127S put a new tire on for me. They scratched the wheel in several places and they are the only people who have touched my wheels except my husband who is very picky about cleaning the brake dust off the wheels. He noticed the scratches when he was washing the wheels. This is not the first time we have had a problem with this company. I think they push their workers to work too fast causing damage to vehicles. They have never admitted anything that I have complained about which is why I feel it necessary to express how I feel about this company. First, I never purchased or had tires installed by this business. But just the other day I was in the process of ordering tires from Tire Rack and they are a recommended installer. I stopped by and asked them about how they handle expensive chrome wheels and they told me they would not guarantee they would not damage the wheels, and if they did they would not be responsible for having them repaired. This statement alone was enough to cause me to avoid them. read more
