I had a nail in one of my tires. I searched the internet for a local tire dealer that carried the brand of tires that were on my 2011 Lincoln MKX. I found they had a few nice reviews so I thought I would give them a try. I am a retired Marine and am proud of my service even though I served during a time without pretty much any major conflicts like are going one now, I pretty much always wear a Marine hat of some sort. I was checked in by Natalie initially, but was turned over to Greg to finish my check in. Both were very professional and was able to get me in right away while I waited. Once the tire was broken down so we could inspect the damage, Greg brought me to the shop so that I could see the extent of the repairs needed. I agreed to a patch/ plug and returned to the waiting room. Shortly after that Greg called me to the front desk and was determining the bill for the repair and gave me to cost which is a fair price that I figured it would cost. The Manager Natalie Griffin called him into her office, and when Greg returned, he returned the money that I had paid and offered his thanks for my service. I have seen people and businesses thank veterans for their service and provide a small discount. This is the first time I have seen where the veteran was not charged for a valid service. It was a nice gesture on the part of the Manager. I don't expect a free repair as they have bills to pay and have to make a profit just like any other business. But due to their professionalism in the way they handled this customer in respect, showing me the repairs needed and given an original fair repair price; I will be back to see them again if I need the repairs. The final price seemed higher than expected so I asked for a print out. They charged me 247 dollars for road hazard. I told them I didn't want road hazard insurance. They said it was the only way I could get the free tire. They never said anything about it until I asked. What a ripoff. Seems like the insurance was almost as much as the 4th tire. Please be careful when dealing with these crooks.
