This is the sort of DIY project that any respectable handyperson could tackle in the garage. I am not one of those people. We had passed Jak's several times on our way into town, so we pulled in one day. Jak's doesn't look like much on the outside. Frankly, it doesn't look like much on the inside either. Plus, we have no idea who Jak is or was or why his name is spelled funny, since Chris is the owner. We got an cost estimate on the spot and a turnaround estimate of 3 weeks. The final cost was on the low end of the estimate and the work was completed a couple of days early. The table looks great, so this is a big win all around.

We had knotty alder cabinets throughout the house. We wanted white, so we debated replacing them…read more Had Jacob from Revive come over with Brandon the cabinet maker as well. The cabinets were 2008 and in Excellent shape so they presented to have Brandon make new shaker doors and have Revive Cabinetry do their magic and refinish/paint the cabinets. It included serious prep along with new crown and they even painted our Mantle above the fireplace. It completely changed the feel of our house for a LOT less money then to have new cabinets made without the head ache of a full on construction site. We ended up running the bar portion of the kitchen cabinets in Peppercorn Grey along with our laundry room and the other cabinets throughout in white. It was the right decision for us for sure. Andrew with Revive did an Excellent Job and was top notch with his communication! It took about 3 1/2 days for this job. Mostly the prep is the time spent, actual painting doesn't take very long, a couple coats of primer and then paint. We haven't decided on our handles yet, don't forget about that. Here are some before and after pictures. 1st Class Company and quality with nice guys you can Trust at your house while you are out. We did stay at the home every evening and had no issues with the ventilation they provided and the dry time was quick. My standards are pretty high and Andrews Standards were even higher as far as getting it done at a high level. He made a couple decisions that proved that to me. If your cabinets are still good quality and you want a change of look I highly recommend Revive with this approach.
