I have been going to the providers at this practice for 5 years. I was just informed that they…read morewould have to discharge me due to missing 3 appointments within a year period despite me cancelling 2 of those appointments well within the required 24 hours. I spent 2 weeks being transferred to various people at that office before finally being told that despite me following their cancellation policy to a T the discharge still stands. This is utterly ridiculous. The provider I was seeing, Christine Feathers is a terrible excuse for an NP. Not only does she not listen to anything I say as a patient, she flat out refused to refer me to an endocrinologist despite me requesting a referral, citing she felt like she could manage my diabetes in house, only to refuse to prescribe anything other than Metformin despite me having significant side effects for 2 months while taking it.

I loved this place when Lorri Rice was there, but it's really gone downhill. The front desk staff…read moreis lukewarm. I never know if I'm going to be treated kindly or as if I'm a nuisance and it depends on the moods of whoever is up there and not on my behavior. The last few times, I saw Lauren. The first time she was going to send me out without an antibiotic and Dr. Money consulted and said I absolutely needed the antibiotic. The second time, I didn't feel heard at all. The third time I went in with a serious concern and was sent for labs. I had to call to follow up and spoke with a nurse who gave me the lab results, but it was only letters and numbers. I had NO idea what any of it meant. I asked her what I was supposed to do and she said Lauren said to take an iron pill and call a gynecologist. When I asked for a recommendation, I was given the one place I told them I could not go due to a sad experience there. I cried so much, but knew I might have luck with the specialist. I ended up in the ER when I called the gynecologist's office, explained my symptoms, and was told by them to get to the ER immediately. The doctor on call from that practice got personally involved when he found out how I was treated and was a miracle worker as I am now doing so well. I could have avoided all of this and many of the doctors and nurses who work in the gynecologist's office were shocked to hear how I was treated. I've heard very good things about Christine and Dr. Money, but again... I'm not really experienced with them. I am scared to go back there as I'm worried they are going to put me with Lauren again and that something will be missed.

She is SO intelligent, very detailed…read morewith her assessments, has great critical thinking skills and ensures that when you leave her office, you know you are in good hands!! She specializes in weight loss, as well as internal medicine. She has two different office locations, Hagerstown, MD and Hancock, MD. The ladies in the office-checking patients in, collecting co-payments, etc., are super nice and are willing to help with any issues, including insurance issues! Sarah has been a constant Godsend to me! Answering my questions via email or phone. She was able to deal with my insurance over their complete lack of compassion for their patients (CAREMARK is HORRIBLE! It's ONLY about their bottom line and NEVER about the patient's needs!! And let's not forget that they completely ignore an MD's orders on the prescription-forcing the Doctor to change dosages, pill amounts, or FORCING them take a patient completely of their pain meds that they have been on for 20+ years, because they won't pay for it, and if wanting to pay cash for it, CAREMARK will not allow CVS to fill-so you can't find the pills at ANY pharmacy, because if you try to fill it at another pharmacy, they won't fill it because you do not normally fully your scripts there. CAREMARK/CVS are SO scared, because of the 2016 GUIDELINES. (Even though they revised the 2016 guidelines in February of 2024, ensuring chronic pain patients did not get treated this way...by doctors OR insurance companies! These pharmacists, who do not know the patient OR all their issues, make a decision based off of a policy, not off of what the patient NEEDS or REQUIRES to stay upright! CAREMARK basically replaces your MD, who went to school for decades.) Back to MORRELL Advanced Practice! These women are ALL amazing, in BOTH offices!! Writing this is a double-edged sword, because this will help her grow her practices, making it more difficult to see Caitlyn Morrell. Thank GOD for the other practitioners in the office, like Allison! My husband loves her, too! He sees both women. It takes a lot to impress my husband, as he hates seeing doctors. But, these women put you at complete ease!! Especially if you do not like going to the doctors.

They have known for weeks that she was having surgery and have yet to send over to the surgeon her release papers. Her surgery is scheduled for Monday, June 8th. The offices have been closed since Thursday. She went to see them on Wednesday and was promised after several weeks of "yes, we are sending it over" to "yes we will send it today, Wednesday, June 3rd. Well, we called the surgeon today to verify that they got the release forms and nothing. Not only has this caused undue angst to my friend, but the surgery will also have to be postponed and just imagine the surgeon and his staff - the cost of their valuable time. I am planning on suing them. No excuse. This behavior is unacceptable.

My most heartfelt thanks most especially to Dr. Richter & Dr. Metz, for the kind and compassionate medical services they have provided me. The staff of nurses are the most competent I've ever had. No waiting list or scheduling, despite having submitted insurance info and new pt paperwork. No suggestions on how to get on the books for an appt. I would suggest Dental Services of Frederick if an adult using Healthy Smiles. When entering their waiting room, the receptionist was smiling & happy to answer questions. A staff member told us appt.s were 6 months out but we were able to actually schedule it. Once home we got a call on a cancelation, due to our special dental need we were offered an appt in 6 weeks. The staff was courteous, competent & welcoming. Kindness made a big difference. ......The actual dentists & hygienists at Hagerstown Family Health are great, but getting an appointment w/ out being redirected to different departments with no date scheduled, is stressful & disrespectful. It's concerning it's 50/50 on what answer you are given over the telephone at HFHC. God bless the staff who try, and are pleasant, it's gotta be hard. I appreciate the HFHC staff who have been helpful & pleasant.

The staff at his office have been wonderful. Post surgery I had to stay at the hospital for 4 days while the pain and vitals were managed as well as the supplies I needed (have to have a vac on my back) arrived and post-surgical care (have to have my dressing changed 3x weekly) was set up. While at the hospital the nurses, CNAs, techs, dietitian, and staff were incredibly great!! They definitely took care of me and treated me with respect, kindness, and professionalism. Hospital visits and stays are never fun and no one likes to be there so how you're treated during a vulnerable and unpleasant time makes a huge difference!! Everyone was very thoughtful, didn't experience any disrespect nor rudeness. Yes, there are different cultures and personalities, but I was very happy with how they took care of me during this painful and uncomfortable time. Thank you all!!
