Oftentimes we'd arrive to drop her off and it'd be a new face on a daily basis. No one ever introduced themselves to us, and my daughter had no consistency, making her feel less comfortable being dropped off. My daughter needs help with drop off and during the entire time we were there, only a couple of the teachers would help - most of them stood back and let you try to get your child to interact with the other children. When she started getting older, they moved her to another classroom, but when they had staffing issues, they just moved my daughter from room to room without any communication with us. We'd arrive in the morning and never knew which room we were supposed to take her to. They'd then move her in the middle of the day multiple times, leaving us unable to see her on their camera system, and not knowing where to pick her up. We had several instances of arriving to pick her up and she'd have a poopy diaper, causing rashes. There were a few times the poop had been there so long that she was bleeding from the rash it had caused. The final straw for us was when we potty trained our daughter, it felt like we were working against the daycare. The first day after training, they took her out of the room with a toilet, moved her to the younger room, and put her back in a diaper. Every weekend we had to nearly re-train her because they weren't listening to her when she said she needed to go potty and they weren't giving her enough reminders. She'd come home having had at least 1 accident daily. She also went from LOVING going to the potty to it being a battle to get her to go. After just 3 days at home, she no longer has any accidents, indicating that they definitely weren't doing their part. In the 11 months we were with this daycare, there were 3 directors. The newest director Ashley really seems like she's trying to turn the place around, and I had faith in her for a long time. I just think this daycare is too far gone at this point. It just needs to be shut down.

She was previously comfortable and social; she is now fearful of returning and appears anxious around other children. When I ask about my daughter's day at drop-off or pick-up, I am often ignored or treated as though my questions are an inconvenience. The care these educators have for the children is evident through their actions. The elements used to teach is amazing and relatable to my child. I often hear my child counting in Spanish while we drive home from school. Ms. Vanessa is our teacher and she is just the best. She expects the kids to act a certain way and they don't want to disappoint her because they love her so much. We…read morestarted in the Nido room with Miss Julie as the lead teacher in October 2020 when son #2 was three months old. He was there for 11 short weeks and my experience here with the teacher and the program was terrible. I can not recommend this school, teacher or program to anyone looking for a Montessori program. Just for some context, Child #1 was enrolled in a Montessori program from 16 months to 4 years. My child's needs were not meant at any point while he attended this school and he would cry at the center most days. When I would pick him up, he was very upset. I completely feel that he was neglected most days (because he would cry all day and no one wanted to deal with him). The teacher would never follow his cues and would never get down and play with any of the babies. It did not seem like the lead teacher enjoyed being with the babies at any point. The lead teacher wanted all the babies to follow the same schedule and became very stressed and overwhelmed if they were not on a the same set schedule daily. When I was approached by the teacher about his excessive crying after about 5 weeks, I was told that he "needed to be checked out by a dr for acid reflex because he is so upset." He was evaluated by two drs and he was NEVER diagnosed with any health issues. He would never show signs of acid reflex at home. I have a ton of regret that I didn't pull the baby out of this day care earlier. It was a terrible environment, not nurturing or fostering in his development. I also feel like he was behind on some development milestones because no one worked with him on tummy time or practicing rolling over because they didn't want to deal with him. He is currently at a different Montessori day care and all these "issues" that the baby had at this school have failed to show up in a different program around other teachers and staff. I feel compelled to let other parents know about my experience; as I realize that after my feedback to the school about my experience in this room, no changes have been made. If you have a baby that requires a bit more attention, likes to be held and nurtured, this may not be a good fit.
