From the moment Lisandra answered the phone, she was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She never sounded rushed or irritated, and she actually listened to what I was saying. We were admitted as patients and charged a $50 copay, but after seeing the provider we were told that there was no X-ray technician available and we would have to go to another facility for imaging. If the clinic knew that X-ray services weren't available that day, it would have been helpful to inform us before admitting us and charging the copay so we could have gone directly to a location that could actually perform the X-ray. When I called afterward to ask about reimbursement, I was told the copay would not be refunded because we technically saw a provider. I understand policies, but the situation still feels unfair given that the main reason for the visit couldn't be addressed. I hope the clinic can improve communication about service availability so other families don't run into the same issue.
