I have reported this business and business owner Wendy!!! She is extremely unprofessional and her workers are not really knowledgeable to all dogs . This is a post she made about me and my husband after a bite incident this past weekend. I specifically explained to her and her two employees that my dog is not people friendly and though he hasn't bitten anyone prior I wouldn't want him in close contact with any workers. Initially bringing my dog in the worker Linda took his leash and walked him to the back kennel stating " let me try and take him back most dogs only act out around their owners". I'm assuming she wanted to show that my dog that I know would all of a sudden change for her . Of course when she took him back he barked at her once she tried to take off his leash . Myself and my husband insisted with her 3-4 times to let us remove our dogs collar and leash she stated "don't worry I will get it off later. Nearly 3 hours after the drop off she called stating she was bitten trying to remove his leash . Now a person with common sense would listen to someone telling them their dogs has certain tendencies and may not like them being touched , but because they are "experienced " they neglected to listen.The employee Linda knew we were out of state and stated she would do the best she could until pick up on Sunday . Also note that no call /email/ text from the owner was issued . On Sunday at pickup the business added a nite fee of $50 from which was not brought to my attention the day of the incident . So to me a random charge with no policy in place is given out because of a reckless employee. When you work with animals you are subject to any number of situations from dogs of all sizes and demeanors. I asked to Speak with the owner due to her not being in the facility and she talked over me , denied me telling her about my dog during the booking call, and laughed with the employee Linda in my face . She then contacted my husbands sergeant major and said she would file a lawsuit if the bite fee isn't paid. I'm not sure how she know him personally but I know you cannot just call staff duty and get transferred to anyone let alone a sergeant major so it must be a friend of some sort. Not my husband had to deal with being called in the office because of a unprofessional woman that doesn't run a proper business . Military folks beware !!! If you have a dog that doesn't fit her criteria beware!!! It's clear from other reviews she discriminates against certain dogs that may act out a certain way and doesn't have the capacity to handle all breeds . Side note they let the dogs out without ever having to touch them through the doors on kennel (button or lever ) meaning they can give them food or water while they are outside . Point being if she would've listen to me the owner and let me take of the leash she would've had no other reason to go in the kennel with my dog . I have been going to Wendy for many years for grooming and boarding. If anyone knows Wendy she cares for these dogs like they are hers. That is why I have and will continue to take my dog to her. I have recommended her to many people who love her also. We all know her hours and when dropping our dogs off for either grooming or boarding she makes it perfectly clear of how long grooming will be or what times you need to pick up your dog if boarding.
