This was a spot I was SUPER INTERESTED IN TRYING! I researched the company, and everything! What I liked about THIS SPOT was the vegetarian options, since my BROTHER altho technically a VEGAN will SPLURGE on SOME kinds of VEGETARIAN FOODS, including Falaffel! I'm more of a meat eater, and keto person, but if I wanna break the meat eating flow, FALAFFEL & HALAL R SO WORTH IT! So, my brother drove me here, and apparently he was somewhat familiar withe the staff here. Altho' the other comments on this place claims the menu is minimal, I have no idea what is meant by that because it took me a VERY long time decide what to order. I just knew I wanted falaffel, but I wasn't sure if I wanted a sandwhich one, or a salad. The ingredients are a bit processed, and the tahini has SOME SUSPICIOUS INGREDIENTS which COULD BE INTERPRETED AS MAYONNAISE.... which I DID NOT APPRECIATE. But, it tasted fine, nonetheless. I also ordered some Baklava, which was TECHNICALLY VEGAN since IT HAD NO REAL HONEY IN IT, and had some additives in the ingredients... NOT sure how I feel about THAT since usually when u go splurge on Halal foods, or Mediterranean, it has REAL FRESH HANDMADE stuff in it, like actual honey from real buzzing bees. But, it tasted fine. I think the oddness of the ingredients is due to the company being based in New York City, and attempting to become an American Style franchise chain store, like McDonald's, but Halal foods. Honestly, that's my only gripe of the food. The ingredients. But, it tasted fine, and I'd definitely come back. It also seemed like a better choice of food than other franchise chain stores. As for the comments of the staff being slow to serve you.... yes, this is technically true... but, in my experience this is just typical Islamic culture, whom think you are all too much in a hurry in the West. I'm not crazy about this, but it's a cultural difference, and I do understand it. Regardless, once I was given attention, and service, everyone was pretty helpful, and friendly, as well as very chatty. I was given all kinds of suggestions & options, and I enjoyed talking to the lady there, whom apparently my brother had been chatty with many times previously. I would suggest eating the food FRESHLY WHILE THERE, rather than driving home to eat it. Why? Well, it started falling apart, by the time we got home, was soggy, and messy. It's just the nature of this kind of food. It honestly tasted pretty good tho, and I would definitely return again with my brother. I do wish they had better greens tho. I felt the lettuces could've been better quality, and better varieties, but its based in NYC so I'm not surprised at the lettuce, honestly. 1 of my favorite features on this place is the front counter, which has this gorgeous display of all their already prepared foods, including veggies, salads, beans, condiments, salads, and more. The moment I saw this I was like: WOW!!!! I'd also love to try their meaty options, because I love meats! But, if I'm with my vegetarian brother, it will most likely just be falaffel, which I love!

Visited for the first time on 11/4/23 in the early afternoon kind of guided by Yelp reviews. There were a few tables available. Waited at the front counter to order for a few minutes as there was no one there. The menu is very minimal. They do offer Falafel as a single order but it is not on the menu 6/$6.49. I ordered the side of falafel and the combo platter. The platter was a combo of chicken and lamb and included brown basmati rice and a choice of two sides. I chose the hummus and the tomato/cucumber salad white sauce drizzled all over the top. The chicken meat was almost shredded with n size and a very orange color. The flavor was a bit nippy, I am guessing it is the cumin or sumac. I didn't care for the flavor and would not order again. The lamb was just chopped gyro lamb meat. The brown basmati rice was good. The side of hummus was ok and the tomato & Cucumber salad was fresh and tasted ok. The white sauce was not very flavorful. The falafel were a larger size, not greasy and were good. It appeared that there may have been only one person working. The gentleman wasn't very friendly or welcoming. The tables were not cleaned off , I had to wipe the table with napkins to clean it. That was a turn off. The tables were also a bit in disarray. The restrooms are down a very long hallway that is a bright Orange color. The restroom was clean looking. Personally I wouldn't come back as it was not tasty enough and there are better places within sane distance.

I came by here stopping for lunch on my way to the beach. The lamb gyro looked so good and see reviews but it was too long to wait and I was hungry. The staff were super friendly and they have several sides you can put on your salad or gyro. The chicken gyro was cooked with a spice (like turmeric), was tender and good. I added cucumber, tomato and onion mixed and the white sauce with spicy sauce. The pita was warmed up and hardy, but soft. The falafel was good, not as good as halal brothers. This isn't green falafel but still fresh and hot like it should be. They have a mint chutney sauce, white sauce (Mayo and vinegar), bbq, and a hot sauce. Tahini was not offered but you can ask for it. It wasn't good and not like any tahini I've had. Overall a great lunch, worth the stop! Next time gonna try lamb gyro!

    Definitely don't skip this place!

Yay! I am so glad I found this place, it is so good! A must try! I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Great for locals or if your driving through. It is super quick, "chipotle-style"... so you order at the counter and they make it in front of you. Therefore no wait for your food! And it was absolutely delicious! My husband and I drive through Millsboro to and from the beach and try not to eat at fast food places... Shah's is exactly what we have been wanting and looking for! I ordered the Combo Over Rice Platter, which is chicken and lamb... it also comes with a small salad on the side and you get the options of what you want on it! I got tomato and cucumber salad with chickpeas and hummus. Oh! And don't forget EXTRA WHITE SAUCE! Cover ittttt! I also grabbed the red and green hot sauces on the side. The green was delicious, very fresh herby flavor. The red was pretty spicy, hubs poured it all over and I thought I was going to die, but it actually wasn't that bad, but be warned! Staff was super nice and very happy to be there! I think they just opened a few months ago?! So it's sparkling clean and very approachable if you haven't had halal before! Yay! Can't wait to come back on our next trip to the beach!

Amazing place! We placed a catering order for 20 people and everyone loved it. Our order contained a tray of chicken, lamb, rice, salad and a half tray of falafel and chicken wings. They even provided us with ample sauces. Portion sizes were generous. Everything was delicious and the wings were definitely everyone's favorite. Best white and green sauce! I will definitely be placing more catering orders in the future and look forward to dining in as well.

Amazing!!!!!!! Best food ever. So addicting and not expensive. I suggest everyone try this place

OC Street Food has their menu proudly displayed outside and I was so happy to see all vegan items clearly labeled. I decided to stop in as my first meal in Ocean City. I ordered the falafel pita with fries as well as grape leaves. The falafel pita was a WINNER. The falafel is so soft inside with a perfectly fried exterior. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go out of my way to order more of this falafel. Overall the pita sandwich was delicious and well sauced. The fries were standard fries that my toddler enjoyed. The grape leaves were good but a little pricey. I know grape leaves are a labor of love and they were delicious. I probably would try a different side in the future to get a little more bang for my buck. The person taking my order was so kind. In addition to the amazing falafel I enjoyed the hospitality and was surprised to get such a warm welcome from a business in a mall. Thank you OC Street Food for an amazing vegan meal and I look forward to coming back again!

I never know what to expect when I order from one of the many restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland…read more I decided to go the Mediterranean route, and OC Street Food definitely did not disappoint. If you have the desire for Mediterranean food on the go, this place will not disappoint (I ordered them through DoorDash because it was raining like crazy). The prices are like everywhere else in this beach town...slightly more than I would expect to spend on a meal served in styrofoam containers, but for the price you get your money's worth. I ordered the beef and chicken kabob combo. The meat was nicely cooked, delicious sliced, and arrived still warm enough not to have to reheat in the microwave. It was served over deliciously flavored rice, a small bit of salad in the side, and a few small pieces of soft pita bread. My wife ordered the salmon kabob combo. It was comprised of two decent sized pieces of nicely cooked fish coated in Mediterranean spices. It was also served over rice with a small side salad and a few pieces of pita bread. We also ordered the crumb cake and the Greek jam tart. The crumb cake was a good sized piece for the price, and delicious. The jam tart was quite possibly my favorite part of the entire meal. It reminded me of what it would be if you combined a pie and a cake with strawberry jam inside of it. Absolutely worth trying and the price. I definitely suggest this place to anyone hankering for some Mediterranean flavors but don't feel like eating out to do so.

Dining in, we took a seat and waited not so patiently for our meals to be cooked fresh to order. Husband ordered a gyro pita and a side order of falafels. I chose the meal sized Greek salad and had them add gyro meat and a side of tzatziki. I was a ton of food, and I would have preferred a small side salad with some meat added instead of two full meals at once. Although I took some home, it seemed wasteful of my dining bucks. I would suggest having some menu options available for smaller appetites. The gyro meat was nicely crispy and browned, just the way I like it. Dressing was a good Greek vinaigrette, although not a large cup. Tzatziki was mostly yogurt. I think if I had not asked for both taziki and salad dressing, I would have gotten more salad dressing. The lettuce, tomato and onions were very crisp cold and fresh, and there was an insane amount of pepperoncini on top. Husband devoured his sandwich and falafels pronto. I failed to get a photo, but they were pretty over cooked and too dark brown. And the tahini was very thin, not a favorite. We did use the clean restroom and much appreciated it! Not a memorable meal, but satisfying for famished travelers.
