Great way to start this relationship. First time ever coming here to the Rancho Cordova clinic and…read morehe's already 45 minutes behind. This tends to be a common trend with UC Davis facilities. The unfortunate part about all of it is, they have little respect for your time. Staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating but at the end of the day, what good does it do when someone's already: taking time off, on their lunch, or have other obligations that need to be fulfilled? I left my last doctors office (UC Davis Clinic downtown) because it was the same reoccurring theme. I suppose I need to write a review for them as well. Hopefully the care is better than the intake. EDIT: Just got in here with Dr. Lindsay Smith. The entire visit was 10 minutes long. Since she's not my primary and just a fill-in, she wasn't very "dialed in" with anything. It was just a "rush in, rush out" visit to get onto the next patient. Intake was helpful to try and get me bumped up, but this entire visit has been a waste of an hour and a $20 copay.

He reviews options, gives recommendations, listens to patient concerns and wishes, and works WITH his patients to set a game plan for improved health. He always follows up, he provides quick MyChart responses, speaks so his patient can understand without making his patient feel inferior. His comical sense of humor puts you immediately at ease and makes you feel comfortable in his presence. I'm so pleased to have opted for Dr. Luke as my Primary Care Physician. I trust him and feel safe with his expertise and the UC Davis system.

I am very glad there is a Veteran's Administration (VA) hospital in the Sacramento area, right here…read morein Rancho Cordova where Mather AFB used to be. I started going to the VA last year to make sure I was established in their health system and I began building a relationship with my Primary Care Provider (PCP) so when I retire it would not all be new. Additionally, my father received care at the VA for many years and they always took good care of him. I am finding the VA team is outstanding. They have a caring medical staff and all their volunteers are exceptional. They all go out of their way to help you and answer questions. They don't seem in a hurry like in the civilian hospitals and will take time to understand and health issues or concerns. I do not have considerable health issues and don't need a lot of care beyond my yearly checkup. However, I am very appreciative of all they do! I would have given 5 Stars but my PCP has changed multiple times. I understand how this can happen and it's not a big negative at all. Thank you VA team!
