Our Cori (black Pom) gets really nervous around others and just barks at any visitor, but when he met Shirlen he didn't bark and warmed up to her very quickly. Our dogs really liked her I truly appreciated the constant communication and sending us pictures. I knew my dogs were good hands. We love Shaka Paws! We frequently travel back home to Texas for extended periods of time so I wanted to make sure our dog and home were cared for while we are away. She communicates when she will be away, what our pup, mahomes, has been up throughout the day, and texts plenty of updates! She gives him so many cuddles and takes him on a ton of walks. She also sends plenty of photo updates, which gives me peace of mind while we're traveling. She's also done a few drop in appointments with mahomes while my husband is out of town and I'm at work. Amazing Dog Sitters/Walkers I've been using them for about 6 years and they never disappoint. I have 2 pitties and a cat and Lauren the owner has been walking and doing overnight stays. Our dog, Leo, was cared for like one of their own -- constantly loved, walked, snuggled, and showered with the attention he craves daily. The regular photo and message updates throughout the day gave us such peace of mind while we were away. But where Shaka Paws truly went above and beyond was during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced. While we were away on a trip to Hawaii, Leo suddenly became ill. At the time, we believed it was a simple bladder infection -- but it turned out to be transitional cell carcinoma, a form of cancer. Even from thousands of miles away (and across time zones), Shaka Paws kept us updated every step of the way. When Leo stopped urinating for over 24 hours and began passing blood, they immediately took him to the vet -- no hesitation, no questions asked. For nearly a week, as the vet worked toward a diagnosis, they helped with everything: dropping off food and medication, handling paperwork, visiting Leo daily at the vet for comfort, and even transporting him between clinics when specialized equipment was needed. Everything in us wanted to rush home immediately, but the vet strongly recommended that we wait until there was a confirmed diagnosis before flying back -- and during that time, Shaka Paws gave Leo all the love and care we couldn't from afar. They went above and beyond to make sure he felt safe, comforted, and never alone. Even after our return, they continued to check in on Leo regularly, cheering him on as he now undergoes cancer treatment. Leo has had the pleasure of staying with Kiani, Yohan, and Rocio, and each of them has shown him so much genuine love and compassion.Their kindness has meant the world to us, and we are forever grateful.
