I've lived in apartments before where everything looked nice, yet when you actually went to use something, you could tell the property had chosen to go the cheap route. This is not the case with the Residences at Halle. You get what you pay for - a beautiful high quality apartment. I love the security features of the building as well. Key fob access, security in the lobby and only being able to access your floor. The location is also perfect. There's a restaurant in the lobby and even a small convenient store. I also love that the parking garage is attached to the building via a tunnel. The garage is a bit tight but thats expected. Lastly the management team has been amazing. Alex has been so welcoming and kind. I was moving from out of state and they made the process seamless and so easy. I may be new to this propery but I'm so happy I decided to call this place home.

When we moved in, our place was very clean and completely move in ready. The apartments are beautiful and upgraded with brand new appliances. I couldn't believe how much space there was. Plus, the windows allow for a ton of natural light and we have an amazing view of Downtown and Progressive Field. The management staff, lead by Alex, has been amazing. They made the whole process, from signing our lease to our move in, very seamless and easy. There were a couple questions I had on a Sunday and Alex responded almost immediately to my questions, which you don't find at other buildings or rentals. If you're looking for a new place, I would highly recommend considering the Halle and giving it a tour.

The overall cleanliness and pleasant aroma of the place, along with the peaceful ambiance both inside the suites and in the hallways, really stood out to me. During the tour, Joy from the office made a fantastic impression with her extensive knowledge and delightful personality. She made me feel right at home, providing detailed information in a folder that I could refer back to. Her professionalism and warmth have only heightened my excitement to part ways with my current house and make the move to downtown.

Instead of a long winded review I will explain the pros and cons Pros: Nice, clean and newly updated apartments with new kitchen appliances Washer and dryer in units!! Nice carpeted floors (soft and new) Furniture nice and stylish Excellent cleaning staff that came once a week to clean the apartment. Pricing is the best for downtown. Believe me, I checked dozens of locations. Location is excellent in downtown with ease to walk anywhere quickly and easily. Front door-man on evenings does help with a feeling of safety. Cons: Staff was different every time I booked a stay or was living there. So no one really went overboard to help with anything as they knew they would be leaving soon. Our thermostat would not work EVER. I left one weekend in August for business and when I came back the AC was on 95 and blowing heat continuously. They came in multiple times both years to fix but I had to manually fix thermostat multiple times a day. No secure parking. Our car was broken into twice in the lot across the street that they rent to residents. Both times I asked for video footage and they said the cameras do not really work and they would not offer any compensation for the large sums of money I had to pay out for insurance to fix my windows, car doors and new seats and carpet. Will definitely consider going back as location and amenities were the best in downtown.

I lived at Marine Towers West Apartments for three years. Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant…read moreexperience. I would recommend trying to live at another apartment complex on Edgewater. Living at Marine Towers West was okay as long as I didn't not need any assistance with anything. On Dec 23,2021, when the garages collapsed everything changed. Around 1600,I received a called by management which asked if I cleared the building. When I asked what happened they said there is a small issue with the garage and that I would be unable to enter the building for now. I was told nothing further. I had to find out that the garages collapsed through google. I had to call off work and drove a few hours away and stayed with family. Once allowed back into the building there were many issues such as a huge lack of parking, family not feeling safe, friends not feeling comfortable visiting, and lots of construction (paint fumes coming into the apartment vents). I had a lot of trouble trying to find parking since I work 12.5 hour shifts. The apartment complex did offer transportation to off site parking for individuals that work a normal hours (6-8M-F). Unfortunately, I do not have a normal work schedule so I was not able to utilize the transportation services. Thus, I asked if I could move out early and I asked what the cost would be. The management stated I could move out early and there is no charge. However, when I went to put my notice in that I was moving out, management sent me paperwork to sign a few weeks later and stated I would have to pay the remaining lease obligations. When I asked why some of my neighbors were allowed to move out early but I wasn't. I had to email the office twice and the management took well over a week to respond and stated I could only move out early between March and April. Unfortunately, Claire never communicate any of these details to me. I was waitlisted when looking for apartments and then gone on military orders. So, now I am just going to have to keep feeling trapped in an unsafe apartment building. Also, any time maintenance needs to access your apartment which is multiple times a year they do not wear shoe protectors so dirt is frequently tracked in and trash usually gets left behind. I did reach out to the leasing office because one of my rugs was ruined, trash was left on the floor, and multiple lights were left on after maintenance came to work on the bathroom while I was at work. I never received a response from the leasing office regarding the matter. The apartments themselves are older and need to be remodeled badly but that's pretty typical for Lakewood. I just don't think the price charged for rent is worth it since the building is not adequately maintained. Plus, the poor customer service experience I received. I cannot recommend living here to anyone.

It's very spacious! 920 square feet with plenty of closets for storage. Never had any issues with any appliances... I even have the vintage oven over stove, and it works like a gem! Location is awesome! Lucky's Market is less than a 5 minute drive... multiple grocery stores and CVS nearby. This building has extraordinary views of Lake Erie! Rooftop observation deck is great in the summer to relax. The outdoor pool is small, but it's solid as well. Great way to meet people in the building! There are also great parks nearby. Just a short bike ride away from Lakewood Park and Edgewater Park. Virtually no noise complaints on my end. I can only recall hearing loud neighbors above me once. Residents are very considerate for the most part. MTW is an HVAC building, but that's never been an issue for me. When it gets too hot in the summer in my unit, I crack my window. The breeze off Lake Erie cools off my apartment 90% of the time. Vice versa for winter. This building is insulated well. It's very refreshing coming home from a snowstorm, to a warm and cozy home. (I don't even use my heat for most of the year because it's so well insulated.) Maintenance is superb! Excellent at fixing things in the apartment, and very reliable as well. Other things that come to mind: -Washer and dryer on every floor -Covered parking available ($75.00 a month. A little pricey, but I splurged. Worth it in the winter.) -Senior Discounts -Gym with decent equipment -Party Room on top floor. (This can be reserved. Good space for entertaining.) -Dog Park and Dog Wash -You can buzz people in on your cell phone -Very friendly and helpful staff in the front office CONS: -Washers and dryers are a little pricey. $1.90 to wash and dry clothing. However, the machines are reliable. -Sometimes I get a cigarette like smell in my bathroom. Usually when I open the window, the smell goes away quickly. Once again, this is an outstanding place to rent. Considering MTW is surrounded by "luxury condos" on the Gold Coast, this place is such a rare find. A renters dream in my opinion!

The building has swipe in security passes on the elevator and unit doors. Speaking of doors, the door to each unit is massive and secure. The unit was also pretty soundproof. The lobby is nicely decorated, there are three small work spaces, the second floor has a pool and clubhouse (I think there was a beer tap). Coffee in the lobby. There is a gym but I did not see it, and parking. They had everyone on the pool deck to watch the eclipse and it was spectacular. I visited One University Circle in early February 2026 to co-work with my friend who lives here…read morewith her boyfriend. We both work remote jobs. I stayed in her apartment until about 12:30pm. She gave me a tour of the building so here are my thoughts. These apartments are categorized as Luxury Apartments. From a VISITORS stand point -- These are nice apartments on the east side of Cleveland. They are within close proximity to Case Western Reserve University, CWRU Law School, Cleveland Clinic main hospital, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall (where the Cleveland Orchestra performs), Wade Oval, and of course, the University Circle neighbourhood. The apartment building is huge with many floors. My friend's 1 bedroom apartment itself is small for the average American, at around 700 square feet (my estimated guess) but I find this to be a perfect size since I like small spaces. Her 1 bedroom apartment has a big bathroom, open concept kitchen with a counter top and option to add bar chairs which she added, a living room space with an attached balcony, and a modern fridge that dispenses water. For the common areas -- the lobby is inviting with comfortable chairs, the gym is clean and has plenty standard equipment, the sauna is spacious (I think there are 2 saunas). I got to use the gym in the morning with my friend before we both started work. At the gym, I enjoyed using the stair climber machine and weights. We didn't have time to use the sauna. There is a garage for residents to use at an extra cost. VISITOR PARKING (FREE) -- I don't know what the apartment offers for visitor parking but my friend told me to park at the PNC Bank parking lot on Deering Ave., after hours. Parking was free. I visited during a weekday morning after 7am when there was no one in the parking lot, except maybe 1 car. From a RESIDENTS standpoint -- My friend enjoys living at One University Circle in the 1 bedroom apartment that she shares with her boyfriend who is a doctor at Cleveland Clinic. She told me she has had no complaints except when it took a little while for maintenance to fix something in her bathroom at some point in time. COST -- As of July 2026, a one bedroom unit starts at over $2500 and a studio unit starts at over $1800. Depending on the floor plan, the cost will vary. My friend lives on a high floor unit so her rent is more expensive than those who live on lower floors but cost is relative. For me, I would say that all units (whether top or bottom floor) are expensive and I wouldn't pay that much for rent because I would rather buy a house at that point. Depending on your income though and what you are willing to spend your money on, then you may or may not find living here expensive especially given the amenities that the building offers. Of course, we all know that owning a home makes more economic sense because that tends to be less expensive than renting but I digress. Visit their website to view rent prices.
