I Have NO CLUE who she/he is or if she/he is real! I have tried to email, respond on Yelp and Trip advisor. I looked at her past and she/he reviewed a few places but I am not sure if she has even been on my boat! She/ He will not respond. Looks like she lives in Tampa and Colorado? Kind of fishy! Yelp has 12 reviews Total of which 11 are very positive and not ranked. The only negative one is showing up as one star! Again she/he will not respond. I have no idea what else to do but to hope you visit TRIP ADVISOR and see the 24 positive reviews there or search Yelp for the 11 other positive reviews. This is my business and it is all I do. I have no idea why Yelp has their system set up this way other than a BLACK BOX explanation! I would highly recommend Capt. Dave if you are looking for an excellent fishing experience on Tampa Bay. Dave is extremely knowledgable about the area and the many species of fish available. He is a high energy guide with a positive attitude and a hard core fishing mentality. I travel to the Tampa area every year and have fished with several guides, both salt and fresh water. I can say Dave left a very good impression with me and we will be booking trips in the future for sure. Check out Shallow Point charters on youtube and facebook. He has a ton of videos to watch so you can see what you are getting in to. I am not sure what the negative review is about. Dave started our day by explaining what to expect as well as what he expected out of us. Like I said, been with many guides and Dave is one of the better ones in my opinion. First of all, let me confess that I'm not a big fisherman...but my fiance IS! On a recent vacation, he wanted to "introduce me right" to his passion of sport fishing, so I gave in and went. He hired Shallow Point Fishing Charters and let me say - I had just the most amazing experience!! Captain Dave is a really awesome, laid back guy, totally personifying the "changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes" cliche you hope to get in FL. He made this Northerner relax, laugh and he was super-patient with my less than pro-level fishing skills. We saw a bunch of action with all different kind of fish and my hunny was so proud that he caught some really big ones!! Dave took pictures of us, too, which I know is a memory we will look back on fondly down the road. In the end, Shallow Point made a fisherman out of this Sex and City girl and I've already recommended Dave to someone in my office who is visiting Tampa with his kids this summer! read more

If I could give more than five stars I would. This was the best fishing trip I and my friends have ever been on. We came up for my big 40th birthday. We caught close to 50 fish. How much more can you ask for. Cpt. Dave is intense in the best way possible. I am a long time bass fisherman and needed some coaching for salt water fishing and Cpt D was on it! After losing a few fish he showed me what I was doing wrong and it was on! Not only did we have five fish on at once, but, it happened multiple times. Fish from the minute we stopped to the time we left. What more can you ask. Don't know what the other review was all about, but the smile never left our faces the whole time. BTW, he cleaned about 40 fish at the dock so the fish could be cooked immediately. Thanks for a epic trip Dave, we will see you soon. read more

Capt Dave gave us an amazing day on the water on a day that I would have scrapped due to weather. He kept in touch with us the day and early morning while watching the radar and absolutely called the timing of last storm cell before heading out. He has a good eye and keen sense of knowing where the fish will be. He put us right on the fish and handed a pole to the one person in the boat who was leery to be fishing for the day and she ended up catching the first fish! Great morning filled with trout, redfish, and snook and a full cooler to take home for dinner! We even had a dolphin make an appearance...which prompted us to find a new spot. Again, Capt Dave was spot on in the next area. We had an amazing day as he did all the work! I highly recommend him to anyone visiting or even locals in the Tampa area. read more

Would HIGHLY recommend Captain David and Shallow Point Charters for a day of fishing!! Had a great time with Captain David Beede. Inshore slam for the record books -- 101.5!!! Our slam included a 42" snook - spectacular day. Caught many reds and trouts, many of the reds were too big to keep but what a fight they gave us. Captain David was extremely knowledgeable and put us on the fish all day long. He inquired on the fish we expected to catch and he exceeded our expectations - many of the fish we caught were over the slot limit (too big to keep) but the fight was exciting and memorable. Captain Dave turned a tough weather situation into a great fishing day. On a cool, very windy day (20-30 mph winds), we expected an uphill battle. Instead, we hooked our first redfish less than a minute after the first line was cast. Captain Dave has an uncanny ability to locate fish based on tides, wind, and subtle water surface movements due to fish movement in the shallow water below. It's an enjoyable experience just watching him work. Taking home our daily limit of redfish was just a bonus. read more

Captain Dave is a great captain. He was able to put our party on some very quality fish (redfish, snook, trout) on a day with difficult (windy) conditions. On top of the great day of fishing, Captain Dave has a great personality and is fun to talk to/learn from. Captain Dave has a great boat that can easily accommodate 4 people fishing at the same time. Captain David Beede is a dedicated guide that puts his heart into making sure his clients go home with fish. We recently booked a family trip and we all limited out on redfish and caught some snook and trout that made our day exactly what we wanted. My brother and I went out fishing with David in October 2015. We had a great day fishing. David really knows what he is doing. When we were heading out another charter was heading in they had only got 1 fish. We got at least 30 fish. At times we had 3 fish on a line at one time. I plan on going fishing with him next year. Captain Dave said we would catch fish, and he was under-promising. Within 10 minutes of leaving the dock we were catching nice snook and speckled trout; within an hour we completed our first slam with a nice keeper redfish. Not only does Dave know how to fish and where to fish, he likes to fish. Plus he's a great guy to boot, and good with kids. Can't recommend him highly enough. read more

This guy should have his license revoked! Motoring through a pod manatees should not be allowed and harassing them should carry a stiffer fine. What is FWC waiting for, the video evidence is clear. After realizing he was being filmed he even tries to catch the drone. The "white tube" was part of a GPS tracking leash, he was making up excuses while he was being interviewed. read more
