My shopping experiences have been good but I've never felt so unappreciated donating. My mom, a nonsmoker, passed away and probably like most people in this position, they donate to local thrift stores. I first brought a couple boxes of teapots she had stored in her garage. After going through the donation drive thru I decided to take a trip inside and look around. They were immediately putting those teapots into a glass case in the store. As the women was putting them out I mentioned they were my mom's who had just passed away and she went on a tirade about how filthy they were and she had to wash them. She made me feel horrible but the funny thing is when I stopped there a week later they were all gone, sold! On another donate day, I had bags of mom's clothes and a few boxes of housewares, hard goods. When the guy outside noticed I was smoking in my car, he refused to take any of it, which was in my trunk. He said it all stunk like smoke and they didn't want it!! How it came directly from my mom's house and picked up smoke odor that quickly is beyond me. I went across the street to Goodwill and they took it all and thanked me. I have vastly changed my opinion of this store and am sorry I have ever donated anything there. I'm sure they made good money on all they things donated from mom, including furniture that they had no problem accepting. read more

walked in 10 minutes before closing and the doors were already locked, i walked in through the exit door and the lady immediately yelled were closed when they close at 4. i asked politely if i could look for something. and she said what and i told her and she said "mm mm, no we're closed goodbye" i give the this experience a -1 star review because of the service. read more

This is the best true thrift store experience you'll find in the area! Every other item is $.50 or $.70! Amazing women's jeans for $2. Come on! 1000% love it! The checkout experience is different (you tell them the price of each item), but they're always nice older folks who are volunteering! read more

This thrift store is not only my favorite for prices, but also thanks to their exceptional care for the community as a whole. Shalom has reinvented thrift shopping by only accepting quality items, and selling them at bargain, thrift prices. I can't remember scoring a pair of brand-new designer jeans for 2 bucks since the 90s, but here I can thanks to all the 100 volunteer staff who only work at the shop to help the community with proceeds donated to area organizations. They even have color tag sales daily to drive the prices way-down! They have a large selection of clothing, housewares, toys, and I've even ran across a few antiques. All of these low-price items are also donated to residents of the local family homeless shelter in exchange for free monetary vouchers, making the shalom shop a win-win for both shoppers, and the community. read more

This thrift shop is awesome! The prices are great, better than the surrounding thrift shops. I was sad we came here last on our thrifting day because we found a ton of things we purchased at another shop, but for half the price we paid there. AVOID like the plague! Absolute horrible thrift store. First off the front men were EXTREMELY rude. and counted my change wrong 3 times..I get once or twice but now you're just overcharging me $5, we have issues. read more

Clean, nice people, they donate to the city as well, the prices are marvelous!!! You can get a lovely dress for $4.00. They are such a great organization and help out city most greatly.
