The front desk receptionist lacks professional. When I informed her about Mary would like to see me ASAP (she left a voicemail on my phone at 7:30am informing that blood results is not up to par and she would like to see me ASAP for intervention--- the receptionist told me there's no appointment in 1 month and hung out. I received another called form Mary the following day (which I was able to picked up) and got in right away. Another time, the phlebotomist dropped my brother's blood tube (after we had left). Dr. Allert spent so much time explaining what was needed to get my elbow stable! He even drew pictures of the joint. I was scheduled for surgery 3 days later. He operated on my elbow in Hackensack Hospital and replaced my radial head with a titanium joint. My recovery was without pain. Dr. Allert is not only an accomplished surgeon, but he is compassionate and empathetic. He immediately put me at ease! I am now 8 weeks post-op and I have been seen every 2-4 weeks to monitor my progress. I have no restrictions with mobility at this point. I am so grateful to Dr. Allert! He carefully explained the surgery and patiently answered all our questions. His "bedside manner" and demeanor is confident, intelligent and extremely reassuring while being honest with the risks of the procedure. On the day of the surgery, in the pre-op room, Dr. T and his team was again just perfect, explaining everything and answering every question kindly and thoughtfully. Most important, the surgery went perfectly, "Plan A" as Dr. T told me afterwards in the family waiting area. Dr. T came out after the surgery and explained how it went calmly and confidently which was just the reassurance I needed. The staff at Advanced Laparoscopic is excellent. They took care of all the details of the preparation and led us through the necessary pre-admissions testing and physician letters we would need. They are really on-top of things and operate as a well-oiled machine so to speak, which is very important when a patient is scared and new to the whole system. I highly recommend Dr. T and the staff at Advanced. He is an excellent surgeon and a thoughtful, caring physician. But not only was he so very benevolent to her, he took me into his office to explain her condition and the detailed treatment to follow, ensuring that we both understood the prognosis. It is indeed appalling to find a woman's bizarre complaint about the formation of a keloid after her surgery and staple removal. Had she conducted the appropriate medical research, she would have noted that this was the sole response of her own body's production. This would be akin to my placing blame on my breast surgeon for the axillary web syndrome (cording), a result of scar tissue forming a painful cord after cancer surgery. Mom is now changing gynecologists to continue with this extraordinary man and medical expert!

I never imagined a doctor would choose this option for me without any explanation or consent. The result was devastating. The scar left behind by these staples was horrific, barbaric, and completely unnecessary. My surgery alone cost over $18,000, and yet the care I received fell far below basic expectations. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. Please ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't assume every provider will choose the best or most appropriate method for you. My experience left me with a permanent reminder of a decision I was never informed about.

She went into the OR roughly at 11, and stayed there until about 5pm, for a routine that should have took less than an hour. Even the other family of patients were concerned for her taking so long. Afterward, she informed me that they made her change clothes and seemingly forgot she was sitting there. The follow-up visits at the PDS Medical Management certain didn't fair much better. Each time I bring my mother there, it is always a massive wait. Everyone there is always irritated about this. Just last week, I brought my mother in for a scheduled appointment. After waiting nearly 2 hours, I got up and asked when she would be seen, it is then I was informed there was a mistake, and her appointment is actually next week. All in all, each time I bring my mother here, there is a long wait. Patients are all very angry and sometimes become verbally combative over their wait time. Each time a patient approaches the desk, they're told that they are next. As I began writing this, my mother got called in, and the woman sitting next to me, who was already seated by the time we got here, became upset. She asked when she would be seen, and was told she is next. She just told me she was recommended this location by her lawyer and just walked out on the phone with her lawyer. Last week, when I came in, two people became belligerent after waiting so long. To me, it seems as though there is little to no organization, and very little customer service for non-spanish speaking patients.
