You know how you sometimes politely say to your grandma who serves you a gravy smeared piece of meat served on a splodge of mash, "oh it looks almost too good to eat!" Well this time I really mean it. The mini cakes, pots of mousse, patisseries and slices here look like they belong in the Louvre, not a dessert cabinet. It is the perfect small birthday present for someone at work you're not besties with or to show off to the family in-law after a fancy dinner. Ranging from $6-8 per item you will want to savour every moment, but that isn't hard because there are always so many taste and mouth sensations in every bite from snap and crackle to pop! So after some long hard research my favourites have to be the: - Lemon meringue - Hazelnut crunch - Green Sencha Mousse - Strawberry and balsamic ice cream - Chocolate truffle mound thing And yes, there are more than that to choose from. Trust me, you will thank me for that guide next time your taking away or dining in store over a coffee. My biggest problem is that they aren't open to cure my late night dessert fix. I guess I'll have to continue to put up with eating dessert in the middle of the day! *sigh*

While at some places you'll find poorly presented, with finger marks, or sweating chocolate, at Dolce & Co everything is perfect. They have a range of different gateaux, macarons, and even their own homemade ice creams (seriously, how cool is that). Some people call it a dessert bar, but it's really more of a patisserie. They aren't open late and don't have much space, so they don't really fit the dessert bar mould. If there's one issue with the store it's that it's maybe too small to truly sit back and relax in. They'll happily package up any sweets you want to take home, and a cake from here would make a great little gift. Just make sure you're transporting them well, because it would be such a shame to get it home and not have it look as gorgeous as it did when you bought it. Prepared to be amazed.

They have the standard offerings you'll find at any other Copenhagen store but with more space than you usually see, with some interesting decorations hanging from the ceiling. The staff are clearly new, the girl that served us at the counter was quite slow and served us while other staff took and completed orders for other people that came in after us. Service later wasn't great either, drinks came out one at a time and food was the same, after a while it was clear one drink was forgotten which we had to ask for. Outside seating is nice but when the staff are calling out takeaway drink orders to the entire outdoor area trying to find the right customer it disrupts the relaxing environment you're there for. With time they I'll work out their systems and processes to get things right but until then go in with the understanding that things will take a bit longer than most other places in this popular tourist destination.

Hot chocolate I was told was good. The banana bread was so awful my friend left 2/3 of it. The cheesecake was small but I still left half of it as it just tasted like cold fat. It's a must-do on a Friday and/or Saturday night after dinners out ... or perhaps simply order UberEats if you're planning on staying in!! They're made with their house milk chocolate, white, or dark. Very sensational!! You can also choose to have them with almond milk, Bonsoy, or Zymil. They seem like they're always busy on the evening, even on weekdays!! Which is good for them. Most of the time seems rare to get an inside table. So be prepared. I haven't tried the desserts here at all, unfortunately, so I cannot fill review at this stage. But their gelato is really good!! I've tried several different flavours. The Lemon Curd Blueberry is absolutely degistational!! The salted caramel is very sweet for all those sweet tooths .... I know there's another caramel flavoured one which isn't as full on and lighter in colour. The only down-fall about this particular store is they don't serve take away gelato when ordering at the counter. Apparently it's purely for UberEats orderees. Aside from that I'm not sure if they even serve waffle cones or bowls .... think it's purely glass dessert bowls when ordering gelato at the counter. From experience this isn't the case at every St Louis store. Gouger Street and Glenelg don't have this policy. I'm future I'll likely extend this review but this is all I've got. Don't pass this place up. St Louis is definitely on the rise!!

Those cheeky Stoneyfellians have been hiding this place from the general public for years and I can see why. This place, despite being of simple fit out and design really has an element of shock and awe to it as you are constantly giggling to yourself about some quirky detail in the place. For example, I swear these guys are telepathic... my soy latte arrived in my hands before I even ordered. I hadn't even paid for my coffee yet and it was sitting in front of me! Not only that but this place caters for the child inside everyone... - Snot Chocolate = Hot Chocolate with yellow and green marshmallows on top (get the picture) - Gelarossa = Frozen Blood Orange juice with lemon gelati - Huntsman = A hyped up version of a "spider" Furthermore their exotic drinks are worth a try just for something different. Although you really aren't being that exotic but having an iced coffee with some chocolate on top (Chino Ghiacciato) you still feel slightly naughty by ordering it. So why the 4 stars, you're raving Chloe, you're raving! I know... I really have to try this place again to be sure but I had a low fat lemon cheese cake that wasn't to die for (it wasn't lemony but more sugary) and I am a bit of a lemon dessert connoisseur!

Being fortunate enough to live only a couple of streets away, it's become one of my favourite spots out of both convenience and their great coffee. The breakfast/lunch menu is limited to croissants, focaccias and the like; however the desert cabinet is very appetizing, especially the wide selection of macarons in all of their colourful glory. Service is always super quick; I can't think of any instance where I've waited any longer than a minute for my coffee. They also have a selection of coffee/espresso accessories for sale for those of you that take the spirit of the barista home with you. The shop is dog-friendly and has water dishes for your canine counterparts whilst you sip your coffee. With Newland Reserve directly across the road, it's an ideal spot to wind down after taking your dog for a run or spending a day out with the family soaking up the sunshine. J ust keep in mind that being situated in the eastern suburbs means you're probably going to be in the vicinity of a few pretentious housewives now and then, with their dolled-up Chihuahuas included.
