Unsurprisingly, they accessed a restricted account and gave me my SSA $$$ in the form of a cashiers check. The manager of the El Cajon branch recently helped me to change my checking account of record to my HomeStreet account. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

What's important right now is that I had a money order to deposit and when I was leaving Target I saw a HomeStreet Bank and said to myself, why not deposit there? It'd be a good test of their customer service to see if they can deposit it without an ATM card or even an account number on me. It took the teller a minute, but she did indeed find my account and a few minutes later, I was walking out with said money order in the bank's hands.
