The Bartender/Janitor ripped me off! Walked in at 10:30 am and there wasn't a soul insight and was heading for the door to leave and this woman appears out of nowhere, charges us $10 per drink we only had one each and was I charged $41 taken out of my account paid with a debit card which I filed a dispute. This place is a nice hole in the wall spot for a drink or a few. It is clean, great service and three diffrent sections to choose to sit. They also have a patio area... The parking is kinda sketchy and I was a bit worried about my bike....but they do have a bunch of "smile you're being recorded" signs but I just couldn't spot the cameras. I am an Old Arizonan, born in Miami, AZ and lived in Claypool, AZ until going to Miami HS, college in Texas, Army in Orleans, France, and teaching Elementary schools near Buckeye, AZ for about 40 years.....retired and now living in Sun City, AZ! However, many years ago, every time I'd come to Claypool to visit my parents and other family members, I'd go to the Shamrock Bar between Claypool and Miami, AZ. I've been thinking about driving up to the Miami/Globe area and would like to visit the Shamrock, if it is still in existence. At 82, can't get to too much, beer (etc.) but would love to do so. We recently moved to the area and have driven by here so many times one day we noticed that there was a BBQ sign and tonight decided to give them a try. The food was great!!! We tried the Green Chile burger, a Brown Derby, and a Brisket Dinner each had it's own unique delicious flavors. The coleslaw is the best I've ever had. Needless to say we will be back. Don't pass up this great little watering hole! Super friendly bar tender full of great information. We told her our plan for the day and she called another place to find out if the road we were going to take was still closed. It was, so she mentioned an alternate route which turned out to be even better! We loved the mini beers too... almost as good as the ones we had on a cruise ship. read more

We met some friends here from out of state last night and for such a small town, this bar is a treasure. I tried their Chicken Shit shots and I paid for it the next day, but totally worth it. The bartender was fabulous! She was always checking on us, and she even sang some karaoke! It's a pretty big bar. They have pool tables, smoking areas, and some yummy BBQ outside. This is an interesting little place. Seems that the big draw on a Friday night is Karaoke. However, it takes place in the "smoking area". More of the young folks were in there singing their hearts out to some interesting choices of songs. There is a back room with a pool table and a couple of sofas. We just sat at the main bar and ordered a bottle of beer. The tap is limited to Bud products and Coors light. The place was ok, but we probably won't go back as we have a different place to go that we think is better. But hey, we gave it a shot. read more

My family and I love this place. Sure, it's a dive, but that's part of its charm. Their motto is "There's always rum for one more!" It's one of the few places in town you can have your 15 minutes of fame. So go be as silly as you want, or as fantastic as you want, and you are pretty much guaranteed to feel like a superstar at this little gem, no matter who you are. Look for the traveling circus that comes in now and then (my family). There are about 10 of us and we ALL sing, dance, and put on quite a lively show. The sound system rocks for such a small place, it makes everyone sound great! The highlight is when my stepdad sings "I'm Too Sexy." It's definitely worth seeing at least once. Drinks are cheap and always served with a smile. I have asthma and yet I will brave the "smoking area" for at least awhile before I have to go cough up a lung. It's that much fun. It always feels like we are hanging out with our extended family when we go. Good people run it, good people come to hang out, good times ensue. I've met some really wonderful people there (say hello to Doc Holiday for me). I've been there a number of times. I look forward to many, many more. read more

Definitely don't judge this book by it's cover! My wife and I stopped in for a beer on a Sunday afternoon. Our bartender, Sherry, was as delightful as the beer is cold, and the cleanliness was remarkable.
