Didn't get photos. Wife and I wanted to get out of town for a couple of hours a few Sundays ago and we like the drive on the 60 from Mesa to Globe - very pretty. Foody joints are sparce in Globe, but there are a few hole in the walls. Drift Inn has been around since the early 1900's, at least the building (I think as a bar.) Couple of pool tables, minimal seating. Clean, but old. Fun. We got there 1/2 hour before they stopped serving food. I had a Ruben w/ Fries and wife a burger w/ Onion rings. Very good. Took a while, but my Ruben was hot off the grill, as was the wife's burger. Fries hot and crispy. Just great bar food. Nothing fancy, but easy going. 3 out of 5 stars for just overall ambience. This is not a place to take little kids, due to some of the painting on close to the ceiling - a certain level of female exposure. read more

Well, I'm rating this place 4 stars purely on the dive bar atmosphere. Great bar, buffalo head and all-around right for the claim. Odd that my pint o' beer was $9 though, more than beer in finer restaurants. Unfortunately it was 7pm on a Sunday and they stopped serving food at 5pm. read more

After driving over 4 hours on our way to Prescott, we stopped at the Drift Inn Saloon for lunch. This was our second attempt to eat lunch there. When we stopped there last year, we learned that they were not serving any food that day because the cook was out sick. Today was successful. My wife and I shared a Rueben and an order of fries and onion rings. Everything was very good. The 1902 historic building has a mural on one of it's walls and the classic pressed metal ceiling. Stopped in on our Globe adventure to start it off. Great Bloody Mary's. Awesome Bartender Kayleigh. Lots of history. Great bar. We didn't eat but boy those drinks were great. The bar is old. Has murals and cool stuff inside. Definitely stop and wet your whistle here. read more

I really liked the atmosphere of the place felt authentic compared to several other dive bars that kinda force it. Had a couple beers and a burger. I would say everything was pretty good the service the food, and there were pool tables and more. one negative thing i would say is they need to fix that restroom door cause that i feel is a problem. Mens room had no doorknob and couldn't lock the door. So yeah fix it But other than that i thought it seemed like a cool place read more

If you have to eat after 8PM, this Saloon is a very good option. This bar seems like it could have been an establishment during the days of Wyatt Earp. There's a quaint patio out front, where horses could probably wait for their patron. Half of the wall is a long bar and across from it were two pool tables. Tuesday night seemed to be pool league night. We had the zucchini and mushroom basket, which came out really hot and we didn't leave a crumb! The BLT was definitely a safe bet. And the burger was, too. The wings were flavorful and made to order, no fuss! But they were smaller than what we are used to in the Phoenix area. I wish I ordered the full order instead of the half. Our service with Oscar was great! He had our drinks filled throughout our visit and carried a friendly, teasing and fun demeanor. I definitely won't mind hanging out there again when I am in Globe. read more

We stopped here on our way to see Globe and never went anywhere else! We were visiting Globe for the weekend to do some work. We stopped here Saturday night. Our bartender told us the story about Drift Inn. Im not gonna give any spoilers, but there's a murder and even ghosts involved! They have a full bar, and yes, their wings are amazing!! They take a little longer to make, but the wait is worth it! We had the garlic parm and the dry rub. We met quite a few super nice people, and it felt like we had grown up there. Will go back AND bring my friends as well! read more

I reviewed this yesterday, when I looked at my credit card, this ignorant sloppy eoman behind the bar gave herself a 3.00 tip for 2 beers I did not authorize. I have the receipt and have contacted Pay Pay! watch out people they changed the tip. someone is reimbursing me!!!!!! read more

Opened in 1902 but new owners bought this landmark just 2 years ago. The "new" owners make us feel valued & welcome as we always have felt here & not much has changed from the menu to the ambiance. Which is remarkable and reassuring. The ancient wooden walk-in cooler still functions & holds pride of place near the front door. Tin ceiling tiles and a ridiculously high ceiling it's easy to picture saloon girls "advertising" from the second story windows. The "upstairs rooms" were torn down long ago , there is no longer a second floor , but the nude oil paintings still pay tribute to the "Soiled Doves" that once worked the "cribs "above the bar floor. That is history tho , Flash forward 100 years .., the bar food here is way above average .More of a full menu restaurant and a good one at that . Personal favorites include the Really meaty & large chicken wings. They have about 8 flavors but their dry rub is unique! Great burgers, including a huge variety of fresh toppings ...served on a buttered grilled bun . The " jalapeño bottle caps"remain a local favorite & house specialty. The Drift has a full bar and wide and modern beer selection. Basically a classic saloon that's keeping up with the Gastro-Pub scene! A real treasure . read more

We were visiting from California and friends took us up to Globe. They've eaten here before and said it was a fun atmosphere. They were right. It's nice they don't allow smoking inside. Props for that. Good bar food. Rubbed wings were good. The Rueben sandwich was excellent. Cheeseburger decent. We loved the fries. Well cooked and seasoned to perfection. Great onion rings! Marcie the bartender does a great job. Personable and on the ball! The cook came out and checked on us. Good touch! read more

Stopped by at the watering hole in operation since 1902...its cool! Had us a quick drink and hit the road again. Didn't try the food and if you have a sensitive bowel...I don't recommend the restrooms...then again it's a bar read more

we've been coming to the Drift Inn for going on ten years now. Any time we are in the vicinity of Globe, we stop in for a beer or a cocktail. The place reeks of history. The staff are friendly. This is a must go to for bikers. The food is legit, kudos to the kitchen staff! The bar is over 100 years old... I don't think the bathrooms have been updated since it was new. It has the ambience of a dive bar, but that adds to the charm. If you are a connoisseur of old bars, this must be on your list of drinking establishments to visit. The Bloody Mary's are a cornucopia of vegetables. I have never been there and not had a friendly conversation with the inhabitant of the next bar stool. The walls are festooned with oil paintings of scantily clad women dating back, to I am sure, the bar's early years. A real tin ceiling, no pseudo stuff here. I can just imagine old miners sitting at the same place at the bar years ago when Globe was a boom town. read more

I'm not saying you'd bring your wife and kids in here... but I have several times. This is as described in other reviews, a mega old dive bar with interesting character. On all occasions we visited the folks were nice and the drinks, burgers, and fries were great. No stabbing were witnessed by me, and it's just a chill place to take a break in the old west. read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. We needed a bite to eat and a beer after hiking all day with friends in from out of town. This is a classic Arizona spot and you really get a feel for the history of a town such as Globe, AZ. The bartender was attentive even though she had a lot of locals to serve at the bar, she made us feel welcome. The beer was cold and the chicken wings were exactly what we needed. The saloon had beautiful portraits of the ladies of the night from days past and a lovely mural depicting the beauty of the desert. Even if you're not a big bar food person you'd probably still have a nice time here. read more

The Drift Inn has some history, cold beer and decent food. The Rabogliatti Family sailed from Italy and settled in Globe, AZ shortly after the turn of the 20th century. They began to live the American dream by constructing a 6000 square foot building which was an outstanding structure on Broad Street. The building was divided into three separate businesses. The Club House Café, the notorious International Saloon, and the Western Cash. It was the "International Rooms" that was a prosperous brothel. After the famous gun fight in Tombstone, AZ at the O.K. Corral, October 26, 1881, the Earp's packed up and moved on to California. The Gal that loved Lawman Doc Holliday and everyone else, Big Nose Kate moved to Globe Arizona and opened a boarding house for miners in the International Rooms. Mattie Earp worked with Kate for a short time at the Globe bawdy house. They say the upstairs of the building is quite active with ghosts. Both men and "the ladies" have been seen up there in the back hallway. A cowboy spectre roams in silence as if searching for someone. The legend says a jealous early day cowboy came looking for his girl upstairs in one of the rooms of the International where he maliciously shot and killed her. read more

So it's been two years since I reviewed the Drift. My opinion remains the same. I love this bar! Tonight I tried the Philly Cheese Strak. OMG! That is wonderful!! And who can go wrong with the fresh cut potato chips. You gotta go here!!!! read more

Came up here to scout locations for a shoot and this was the only place open at the time to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in and had some burgers. fries and beers. Everything was delish! The service was a little slow considering we were the only two people there but the server/bartender was really nice so it's all good! This place is really authentic.. the decoration is.. interesting.. I was there on a Monday afternoon, it was dead with a weird ambiance, light and tv were turn off inside (really dark) and no music. I'm so glad that this bar/restaurant is still able to operate during Covid. My husband and I came down as a little getaway and loved the history of this little town and especially this bar. The bartender Jessi was incredibly friendly while offering tidbits of history of the area and the Drift Inn. The building was built in 1902 and the vibe is straight from a western movie! We had the honey hot wings, mushroom Swiss burger and an order of the Buffalo cauliflower, it was all amazing!! They are very thorough with the mask mandate as well as social distancing. I'm so glad we decide stop here and we will be back for sure! read more

Odd place. Kinda cool. Pretty odd. Came here because every other place was closed on Veterans Day weekend. They were out of the Turkey Crossaint for my wife so she had the fish and chips. They were out of wings for me so I had the Southwestern Salad. The fish and chips were alright. They make their chips (not fries!) in House out of large slices of potato. The salad was another story. Romaine, tomato, and grilled onion/peppers with melted cheese. Just a weird salad. Also only had ranch, blue cheese, and thousand island. We had beers and called it a day. Fortunately, the expectations weren't too high. read more

Never been to a bar n grill in Globe. This place was badass and exactly what I needed to take a break from the road. Bartenders were friendly, food was way better than expected and frankly better than 4/5 places in PHX. Awesome old town feel definitely would recommend to check it out. CHEERS! read more

Small old time bar with history well worth a vist if in the globe area.

The food and drinks were very well priced and the quality of the food was pretty tasty for a hole in the wall little town like Globe. My wife and I visited on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised with the festive crowd and happy staff. I'm up here working and will return again. I would have given them 5 stars but they were way under staffed for that busy of a night so it took a long time to be served but once we did it was all great. read more

Wooden floors, concrete walls and tin ceiling... It's screams dive bar and it is. But friendly staff, cold drinks and killer wings. It's a nice stop taking the back roads between Tucson and Phoenix. It's a new favorite!! Great job! read more
